2. "It was cute" |
The moved the kid into a dumpy apartment, made him clean it, do laundry, shop for furniture, get a job, and learn to cook. Good skills, but like everyone else making it on their own, why didn't he have to buy a crappy Wal-Mart metal futon? No milk crates anywhere, either. And, I especially liked the fact that he was to continue living there rather than return to his plush rooms at his parents' lovely home. The 'airhead' next week should be a hoot, too.

3. "RE: It looked staged to me..." |
I watched this show last night and it looked extremely fake and staged. When the "Princess" was sent to live in her own apartment, she did NOT have to come up with first/last/security, turn on elec, phone, etc. When she went to work for the Hot Dog stand, at the end of the day she earned over $200. Hmmmm, what Hot Dog stand pays that much? You'd be lucky to earn $50 a day BEFORE taxes!Then this little girl gets her shot at being a reporter. As someone who has worked in broadcasting for over 10 years, she will NEVER make it! The only thing she has going for her is that she has a pretty face (which is important in TV news) but her voice is hideous and she would NEVER go to war zones and report. She'd never make it interning. It's hard and she doesn't have what it takes. Regardless, the concept of this show was good, but the execution is horrible. I'd like to see something happen for "real" not fake.
