I have to agree. While I was happy that Chip and Kim won their edition of TAR, it was not because I thought they needed the money (though they did), it was because they were great racers.I'd love to see them again.
I didn't hate Jonathan and Victoria in TAR because they didn't need the money (let's face it, the producer of Dorf videos and his Playboy centerfold wife didn't go on TAR because they needed the money), I hated them even though they were a fairly solid team simply because Jonathan was a total ~expletive~.
I do not want to see them in TAR again.
Corvis once described All-Star Survivor as "17 memorable past players and Amber" and that was pretty much how I felt about it. Amber was the also-ran, she was cast after both Colleen and Elizabeth turned down the offer to be on All-Stars, yet she ended up winning the thing.
Rob and Amber didn't lose their edition of TAR because they didn't need the money, they lost it because Rob overplayed his hand, he gambled and lost just like he always does.
If All-Star Survivor turns out to be in any way a predictor for All-Star Amazing Race, keep that example in mind. In All-Star Survivor all the players essentially played the game exactly the same way they tried to play it before. Amber didn't learn anything from her first Survivor experience, she still played the docile submissive, it just worked out for her the second time around.
Anyway, I wouldn't mind at all if Chip and Kim were in All-Star Amazing Race, I really loved those two. But I'll be rooting for the Clowns if they show up again, those guys were great!
