...Dan was made a Have-Not. He seems to have volunteered for it. ...no one has figured out what Joe's non-speech of last night meant. However, since it has once again been proven that nominating him can temporarily shut him up, what are the others waiting for?
...as is tradition for the speed dating HoH, Ian did get his letter and basket. He's at least pretending guilt over the letter from his parents, whom he claims told him to be true to himself and gee, he just hasn't been. Sure, because those first few weeks of leading people on was a total lie...
...the collective lips of the house (minus Dan's) are firmly pressed against Frank's rear and will not change location for some time. However, Frank seems to be playing it cagey about his nominations. He's made it clear that Dan is his main target, but he's talking to Ian in a less-than-hostile manner and has told him that he still loves him, which may be in that classic Mafia kiss of death way. But openly? It's blaming Dan, who talked poor innocent Ian into doing this and now Frank will take him back and it's him and Ian against the world.
No, seriously. And of course Ian is going along with this -- but we're not getting the DR sessions, so who knows what's actually going on? It's just hard to believe Frank could be that dumb. Desperate? Maybe -- he's essentially playing alone at this point. But he should be able to count votes... right?
Britney's been laying it on thick enough to leave a blood residue behind, telling Frank she's perfectly happy with second place and he so deserves to win -- while Frank is indicating he might use her as a pawn if someone comes down. Maybe. Frank's true intentions are known only to the script and everyone watching the stupid show.
...Danielle thinks this is all about her. (Surprise!) She thinks the nominations will be herself and Dan. She thinks Frank will orchestrate the cage to get her out over anyone else. She thinks that if Dan wins the Veto, he'll save her. Danielle thinks a lot. And nothing real ever results from it.
She's trying to work Frank in the HoH almost as I write this, targeting Ian with all her verbal lack of might. She has yet to leap on top of him and declare him her new boyfriend. But give her time.
...Dan is still trying to play the game in such a way so he won't have to actually win any competitions. His plan is to trick Frank into nominating Joe as his block partner by talking Joe up as his most essential ally -- and then watch the votes take the chef out the door. Because Dan has apparently reached that Will-like point where he doesn't remember how to win anything. And he thinks Frank will listen to him. Mist only goes so far, y'know. And then it evaporates against the heat of pure hatred.
...Shane is freaked. He pulled a Jeff (recycled. script.) and threw his clover out of the box during Veto. (Dan was screaming at him. Never got through.) He knows he's a target. He thinks Frank is going to get a Pandora to give him still more power. He is as completely thrown as Danielle, only while staying in Earth orbit. He thinks he's the backdoor. Or the frontdoor. Or just throw him out the window.
...it's Britney's birthday.
Don't worry about presents. She got herself a phone call.
