As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

Carrie has written her ticket. Bo and Constanine have as well, although I think Bo might opt out of his contract to do a more traditional rock album.Constine will probably get offers from broadway, but will deny all of them. Nadia will get a deal as well. "The Simon of the Wabash Valley"

Despite her apparent popularity as a contestant, I don't think Carrie is unique or talented enough (as a 'complete' performer, not as a vocalist) for any kind of longevity. I think Carrie will have one moderately successful country album and then fade into the background -- besides, country is headed away from the pop-country princesses (Shania) and more towards the grit (Gretchen Wilson anyone?). Carrie ain't got no grit.According to a review of Bo's CD with his band (at RNO/Foxes on Idol) his original music is really good, and has an identifiable style/personality to it. It's specifically BO'S STUFF. (I haven't heard it myself yet.) Whether he wins or not, his stuff will sell. I admit that I'm a big Bo fan, so it may sound like I'm not completely objective here, but a huge part of the reason I AM a Bo fan is that he truly seems to have a passion to be a MUSICIAN, a SINGER, a PERFORMER rather than a STAR. From what I hear, Constantine's singing on his band's stuff is barely recognizable as him. From what little we know about his background, he doesn't seem to have a specific style/identity other than 'performer'. He's a marketing guy, not a musician. I'm not saying he doesn't have musical talent, it just seems that his passion is looking smolderingly into the camera & getting all those 13 year old girls all hot & bothered. As opposed to feeling passion for what he's singing. So this means he could hit or miss -- Madonna's a marketer, and she's done astonishingly well. On the other hand, alot of gimmicky one-hit-wonders have been marketers too. It will depend on how well he reads his audience & thinks ahead, anticipating what they want. I think Anwar, Anthony, Scott & Vonzell will probably just get their one CD ala all the other Idols...and then fade away. None of them are unique.
