*deep breath in*... ahhhgggghh *cough*cough* *gag* *choke*
tribe: What the frick is that smell?
Matt's Bloated Ego?
Red Tide?
Beached Whale?
Primate Poop?
<Just then a knock on my door.>
tribe: Come in.Rico: My apologies, sir. The dangerous substance alarms were triggered. Looks like we had a full-scale melt-down at Hut-Cam.
tribe: Has the button been pushed? Is the self-cleaning function disabled? I thought this was all planned out? How soon until Hut-Cam is up and running?
Rico: It was, it's not, it is and it's ready now, sir. Sparkles newer than new. And as an extra measure Coco is still out there now, with hazmat and security teams to insure no further improper dumping happens.
tribe: Then what the frick is that smell?
Rico: That smell is due to the lack of ocean breezes. A sort of coastal kingfish layer. My suggestion is to take everybody into the interior. Away from the beaches for a day. Or at least stay off laplaya.
tribe: Okay. I'll call in a favor from my gardener. Please check CocoNuts for him. Thank you. You're dismissed.
Okay.
It seems like that coastal latrine layer is gonna stick around for awhile.
Looking something like Pea Soup... and smelling exactly like Pee Poop.
So, for the sake of all, I am offering we forego HutCam for the moment and while we wait for a breeze, perhaps do the G● first.
Hence this separate thread.
So...
I happen to know this island has a plethora of wildlife within it's boundries.
And not just the losers.
Here's a list...
American Beaver
Assam Macaque
Australian Platypus
Banana Slug
Blue-eyed Ball Python
Cherry Shrimp
Collared Peccary
Coquerel Sifaka
Giant Clam
Hoary Marmot
Horny Toad
Malay Dugong
Palm Cockatoo
Purple Starfish
Red-Bellied Titi
Ruddy Dik-dik
Smooth-fronted Caiman
Sperm Whale
Tufted Titmouse
Wild Ass
I suggest you pick, from the above list, your Top 8 most want to see critters.
Then grab a pair of binoculars and all take a walk.
Your guide and host will be, nature enthusiast, wildlife expert and lodge gardener... Sphinx Mandrill.
He will be leading 4 different nature walks.
On Wednesday, Friday, Sunday and Tuesday. (Hopefully this will be enough time to see an end to the smelly beach.)
Once you see his Nature Walk posted, reply with your answer and see if you see the wildlife.
If you do happen to see any of the critters on your list, you'll receive their value in randomized/predetermined points. (5/10/15/20/25)
I will be accepting only 8 critters from each loser. No more, no less. Make your list early and show up on the four different days to maximize your point potential.
Look for Sphinx Mandrill's newest Nature Walk, below.
