niteowl 199 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Blistex Spokesperson" 03-31-05, 11:07 AM (EST) "Does anyone else miss all the "filler"?" Where's the mansion? When do the makeovers start? Where are the biography segments? I wanna see them MAKE the Ford commercials! Is something wrong with me? All we get now is singing and results. I never thought I'd miss all the crap!   Top

It'd give the contestants a little personality. No more commercials though, please. Product placement ticks me off enough as it is, and I still shudder when I think of the god-awful one with Clay dressed up like a dork (a stretch, I know) and Ruben like a pimp. The one last week, with miniature versions of the idols singing in that vehicle? Not a good sign.   Top

When they get down to fewer contestants, there will be more time available for filler information. With 4 or 5 contestants singing 4 or 5 songs there will be lots of time left to fill up an hour. Personally, i hated all the montages, and commercials. I hate the one's they've done so far this season. They can stop doing them alltogether for me. I'd prefer them to bring back past contestants to sing as filler instead of the group things. geekboy   Top

I really do miss the filler. Even Tuesday night, my hubby said, "OK, let's see the Ford commercial". I had to tell him he was one night early, and they truncate it this season. Kind of a bummer. I also wanted to see how Mikalah's mom behaved. Rumor has it that since Mikalah is a minor, she had to have her guardian live there too. Not sure if that's true. Maybe there is no mansion this year? Anyone know?   Top

I wish they'd do away with the abysmal group performance as well. It's cheesy, and poorly performed. That group sing for the Red Cross Tsunami fund? Utter disaster.
