"Performance consistency"
After three weeks of the finals and more weeks of them surviving the semi's, it seems very few are actually consistant in their perforances this year. Off the top of my head, Carrie and Jessica have been, plus Bo if you did like his perforamce last night. But the rest seem to do good one week and bad the next. Thoughts...

good question, flair.

in my mind, if a performer is more-often-than-not a good performer, then i am likely to let slide a bad performance. or two. if a performer is more-often-than-not a bad performer, then i am likely to see a good performance as a fluke.

It's a weird mix. There are only two that have been consistently excellent in my book - Carrie & Bo. Nadia's only big misstep was trying that Cyndi Lauper song, but otherwise she's been solid. Vonzell has yet to embarrass herself, but she hasn't exactly been spectacular either.

The rest have definitely been hit or miss. I'm not sold on Jessica, Nikko, Anwar, or Scott, all of whom have done well at times but can't seem to take it to the next level. Constantine has been the most inconsistent by far, and I just don't get the fuss over Anthony at all, who I think has been consistently underwhelming.

I rewatched last nights show, and i have to say that Bo did great. After the initial viewing, i was a bit let down, but if you watch it a second time, at least in my opinion, he was as solid as ever.

granted, i don't believe it was a great song choice, but given the song - he nailed it again.

I have to say, bo has been the most consistant. Carrie has been good, but i wouldn't say AS consistent as Bo in their performancs.

Same goes for Nadia - I LOVE Nadia - and thankfully she got back on track last night with a great performance.

I would rank the top 3 in terms of consistancy as:

1 - Bo
2 - Nadia
3 - Carrie

Anthony has been the most consistent of all. I've disagreed with Simon's criticism of him every week. Simon always picks on someone every season. This time it's Anthony. He doesn't want him to win.

Could that be because he's one of the weakest contestants this year?!

Anthony _has_ been consistant, but consistantly weaker than others. He hasn't "raised the bar" of his performances.

No I don't think Anthony is one of the weakest contestants. Simon certainly makes it sound like he is, but I disagree.

I have to agree. Anthony is certainly not a bad singer. I really get tired of hearing Simon put the guy down time after time. I'm not a fan of his, but there were/are worse.
