Oh my god, Nyanza needs help! What an embarrassment to all the women involved, especially Cassie. Had I been at the fundraiser as an innocent bystander, I would have left! What an egotistical self centered person she is. I think "drama queen" pertains to her more than anyone in the house. What was she thinking, or maybe she wasn't. Thank god the man from financial aid came along and saved the day or I think the whole thing would have been a complete disaster. I feel sorry for Cassie because she doesn't know the real person she is dealing with due to her youth and inexperience. She will wake up and see the real Nyanza one day! All I can say is with friends like that, who needs enemies.

The fund raiser was a heartbreaker for Cassie and an embaressment for Nazia. Or at least it should be an embaressment for her, but she'll never see it that way. I think she only raised $3,000. The guy from Financial Aid helped out with $10,000, plus will match anything up to $5,000 raised in the next week. That's how I think only $3,000 was raised, Cassie, a life coach and the guy sat at the table and discussed it. ANYWAY.. Nazia was loud, promoted herself more than the scholorship, annoying, and basically turned some people off. One man said she needs more than one life coach. hee hee And he just saw her that night!!!! As MC, she made a point of telling everyone she was a lawyer and that they all just got her time for free, because back home this would cost $250 an hour for her time. Un believe able. She was a sight to see with that big fat mouth gapeing open for punctuation while her eyes bulged out of her head, all wired up on being the center of attention as MC. If I were her I would put myself away privately and go through my problem of wanting to be authenic with half a dozen tutors.

Too funny Tilwee!!!! You described Nyanza's expressions so well for the folks who didn't see it. And what a good show it was. They had been leading up to it for so long. The most important part though, that nobody actually acknowledged (c'mon Starting Over, acknowledge it for God's sake) is that NOBODY SHOWED UP!!!!! Why this made me so gleeful, I'm not so sure, but it was definately a flop, indeed. Think about it. She handed out flyers for several nights and was expecting 300-500 people. Seriously, maybe, maybe they had a crowd of 100 BUT that was including the student aid guy and his buisness partner, the two male neighbors, the guy who owns the club and a few friends, the sculptor probably and whoever he brought along, the cast themselves and probably a few family members of the production crew, and the employees of the place. At one point, it looked as if there were under 100 people there, and seriously, how many of those people were not associated either with the show or the fundraiser??? Then, later on in another later scene, it looked as if they must have literally gone out into the street to hawk a few more bodies in. Seriously. To anyone who has ever worked on tv or movies, etc, that was too obvious. Why didn't they just admit that it was a big FLOP?

Yes, the show definately had to be embarrassed over the no money/turnout thing. But there was Rana, giving mad props to Nyanza for doing such a great job. Could you believe it? I totally forgot about the poor artist! They totally just let that go, with no explanation whatsoever. If he actually did wind up donating the piece he must have been very disappointed at not getting the publicity he was expecting, both in Chicago, and on national television.

Lovemycats, I think Rana needs to shove off....You did happen to see the show about the whistle? Where the girls were to wear a whistle and if Evilanza is being less than authentic they were to blow the whistle?! Uh hu... and good old Evilanza says "no..I dont want to do that" so Rana doesn't? Rana is not doing anything with Ny. How about that authentic exercize she did with her yesterday. Spelling out authentic and giving a way Evilanza was atuthentic? PLEASE! I can not take it! I laughed through the whole thing. Rana is scared of the evil one.

I agree with you. Now that you point it out, she backs off when it comes to Nyanza. And the Spelling Bee. I didn't get how that was going to put any life changing experience into the girl. I think the only way Nazi-a will even get close to being authentic is if she is constantly confronted. Rana is letting her call the shots. That is the core of Nazi-a's problem. She blows off on people and gets away with it.

So, so, so true about Rana being intimidated or whatever by the Evil One. But now I've read in the article that somebody posted here, that Rana isn't really a life coach at all! She's someone who showed up at the casting for the show, supposedly wanting to start HER life over. Then, she switched in mid-stream, and decided to go out for the life-coach "role" instead. What the hell is that? She has also (according to the article) just narrowly missed being a contestant on Survivor a few times. So what we apparently have here is yet another media whore who is out to grab some time with her mug on tv, any way she can get it. I'm sorry, it just seems that way to me. And spelling out a-u-t-h-e-n-t-i-c was so sickening.
