First of all, Ollie should have just fought to the end or made a safe agreement: we fight it out, but we agree not to nominate one another.
However, he took a deal, which was a nice one. He got to protect two people (himself and Michelle), which should have been plenty for him: protects him and his main alliance cog, gives his alliance a guaranteed 40% shot at the next HOH, and forces Dan to nominate one of his own. Hell, Dan may have considered living up to the other parts of his deal if Ollie hadn't been so pushy and so arrogant about his chances. However, they started talking about how to boot Dan and Ollie way overplayed his hand.
