PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

On the AI website they have a poll listing the following as possible themes for the show on 4/22Rockabilly The Blues 70s Funk Classic Rock Folk Music If they dare subject me to an hour of rockabilly I'd switch to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which I have neglected since AI started.

When I voted the other day, classic rock was winning, and folk music and 'rockabilly' were losing. I voted for classic rock, but wouldn't mind seeing a blues episode. What's the difference between rockabilly and country rock anyway? Didn't we already do that?

Are you guys nuts? It's in the 'Blows spirit to vote for Folk Music! They obviously put it in there as a joke, it would be hilarious if Folk Music actually won. Maybe we could get a shocker elimination that week!

LAST EDITED ON 04-17-03 AT 12:46 PM (EST)Since so many of them seem to have problems with things like staying on pitch or carrying a tune, I'm thinking they should do well with Bob Dylan. Edited to add: It could be fun if someone started a thread for each of these. I would love to see what some of you come up with for songs each contestant should sing if the theme was Folk or Rockabilly.

If it's rockabilly, I'm (as I've threatened before) going to start taking my daughter to swimming lessons on Tuesday nights instead of watching. I don't think it stands a chance of winning, but just THINK how Kim L. could tear it up if they chose blues. What a dream category for her.
If it's folk, we may be subjected to Josh singing "This Land is Your Land". I don't think I can go there under any circumstances. Too bad we only have sister-beaters, thieves, and porn stars in our troupe this year...."Puff the Magic Dragon" would be such a good choice for a contestant with a drug bust in his/her past.
