Angelfood 2114 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Roller Coaster Inaugurator" 10-14-04, 08:24 AM (EST) "Questions..." for ex: what happened? why did so-and-so do this? What is going on here? and so forth. I just caught my first ep., and others are missing some portions. I read the recaps on the ABC site, and they seem pretty thorough, but I always have questions.   Top

"The plane, the plane" ok, I'm confused already. 1. why was the fuseloge on the beach? I thought it was out in the forest? (that was the front part with the pilot, right? 2. who died? those in the front and back parts of the plane? And these are the people in the mid-section? And why don't we see 48 of them, like someone quoted to the pilot? 3. And are they burning the fuseloge itself? Can't they use it as a shelter?   Top

The plane broke into three parts. The front is in the jungle, the pilot survived but then was killed. The tail section presumably went into the ocean. 3. "The Castaways" LAST EDITED ON 10-15-04 AT 02:52 PM (EST) In an interview I read, Abrams said not to get too attached to anyone, as the show will have a rather high body count. But the "48" is supposed to include just the people on the beach, which would mean that I think we're down to 46, given the guy that got sucked into the engine in the first minutes after crashing and the death of the marshall (I'm assuming the pilot was not counted among the original 48 since he wasn't on the beach -- and there's also the chance that the count is supposed to have been taken AFTER the guy got sucked into the engine, which would leave us at 47.) Frankly, I'd be surprised to see Sawyer make it through the end of the season -- and probably one or more of Jin (the Korean guy), Harold (the kid's father), or the older black lady is likely to join him. Actually, we should start a death pool for this show But frankly, the fun with this show is that they can always -- say at the end of season one -- discover another group of survivors from the tail section (did it land at seas... or on another nearby island?) And every few months, you can always have a "stranger" who was sucked out of the plane before it crashed wander into camp having been marooned at sea for days, stranded on the other side of the island, ona nearby island, etc. Until they tell us exactly how many people were on the plane when it took off (which I think they won't ever do for just this reason) they can keep adding characters for years.   Top
