After watching Episode 2, I know what I have an issue with, with "Fame". It's primarily the judges and Debbie Allen. I know I touched upon this the last time I preached on this thread. Now that Jemison Tiangco, I did like her.
Maybe the "talent" they featured on Episode 1 was just a bad foreshadowing of what was to come (at least to me), so maybe the talent ratio will go up. Upon watching the first episode, I said Serena was the ONLY one with a natural talent and ability, and I still feel that way. Hopefully she wins and this show won't be a waste.
But here we go with the judges. Nobody is saying anything that bad about the contestants. Or they says something bad and try to pick it up with a compliment. I think they need to be blunt and straight forward. As opposed to what has been posted on this thread, I think the talent on "American Idol" surpasses what they have on "Fame". Dancing is differetn story, but the singing ability is by far greater on "American Idol". Carmen Rasmusen would be competition on this show (okay, maybe I overspoke...LoL)
But maybe we don't need a "Simon", but Debbie Allen. Ugh! As much as I respect her, very familiar with her work and her choreography, great career. But it is absolutely unnecessary for her to shower the contestant with compliment after compliment and shade over what any of the judges has said prior to the fact. "Nevermind what so-and-so said, you were great!" I think they need to learn what they did wrong and what they can improve for the betterment of their "talent". That's why I think Simon is how he is... well, unless you really just suck.
