The final 3 teams are drinking together in a pub. Departure times: R/A depart 2:47 am; R/K depart 4:26am; U/J depart 4:41am. Teams have $630 for this leg. Fly to Kingston, Jamaica. Find Frenchman's Cove at Port Antonio for their next clue. There is a 12:40pm flight. Rob is checking for other flights on the Internet. R/K discuss whether to take the underground or taxi. They take taxi, as do U/J.R/K and U/J are told at the counter the Air Jamaica flight departs at 12:40 pm. Kelly wants to know what will happen with Ron after the race, he isn't ready for a commitment after being in the Army, she thinks they're done, then. She wants marriage or nothing, apparently. All 3 teams have tickets on the 12:40pm flight to Jamaica. It's dark when they arrive and secure taxis. U/J are in the lead. Roadblock: participate in the Limbo. Each placement of bar corresponds with departure time from the beach. Early times are lowest. They have 8 chances. Joyce is doing for her team. R/A arrive, Amber knows she must do all remaining roadblocks. R/K arrive, Kelly performing. R/A will be departing at 8:15 am. Teams will spend the night at Frenchman's Cove, then find their way to Grants Level for their next clue. R/K departing at 8:15am. U/J will depart at 8:30am.

R/A and R/K arrive at Grants Level. Detour: Raft It or Build It. Raft It: travel on a raft 8 miles down the Rio Grande using pole to stear and receive clue. Build It: build a bamboo raft using the parts correctly, cross river and climb on bank to collect clue. All teams opt for Build It. Rob cuts his finger on the wire but won't wewar the gloves. Kelly is frustrated Ron won't give her anything to do. U/J are making good time on their raft. Rob wants to go slow but steady. R/K are bickering as usual. R/A are done but have to take off one piece. R/K also have problems. U/J complete their raft perfect and both U/J and R/A take their raft to the river. R/K's raft is stuck on the beach. R/A find clue box first. Rob scampering up, Uchenna using the rope to climb. R/K aren't in the water yet. Ambah slips and falls on her smokin' as*. R/A and U/J are back in the water. Rob lost his shoe, is almost run over by U/J. Travel 80 miles by taxi to Montego Bay to Round Hill Villa for next pit stop. U/J are in the lead, R/A 2nd place. R/K finally get across the river and back. Their driver is flying. R/A's driver Tyson promises to get them there first. Both teams stop for petrol, Tyson seems to know the owner. U/J are off first. R/A are still at the petrol stop when R/K arrive. The police pull over R/A for routine traffic check, R/K manage to pass them. Rob: 'that cop could've cost us a million bucks.' etc spelling

Kelly insists on discussing their relationship with Ron, he thinks it can wait until they get done. R/A ask to share taxi, R/K say no, ask the driver to not call taxi for R/A. U/J can't figure what to do with no money. They decide to go to the airport to see if they can find transportation. R/K's driver isn't sure where he's going, mon. R/A arrive at the Onion Shack and retrieve their bag. They must go to Three Dives Jerk Shack. R/K stop again for directions. U/J find someone to take them to the airport (why didn't they ask him to drive him to Lucea?). R/K find Onion Shack, U/J are at the airport. R/A arrive at Jerk Shack and start chopping onions. R/K arrive and ask their taxi driver to stay. Rob says they are about 10 onions ahead. Rob is chopping like a pro. U/J are at the airport begging money. No one is willing to donate any money, Joyce is crying.

They find a taxi to take them to Lucea, the driver knows where they are going. R/A complete the onions. Travel 50 miles by taxi to Rose hall Great House resort for next clue. Ron says Rob is afraid of R/K, they complete their onions and depart. R/K are hoping to catch up with R/A. U/J are on their way to the Onion Shack. R/A arrive at Rose Hall, R/K right behind. Detour: Pony Up or Tee It Up. Pony Up: make way to beach, ride horse into ocean, when horse starts to swim slide off and swim around bouys and return to beach for clue. Tee It Up: go the golf club, select clubs and clothes and alternate teeing it up. Once they hit the green they receive their clue. Both teams go for Tee It Up. U/J find the Onion Shack and make their way to the restaurant and start chopping. Rob’s shanking them today. Amber actually doesn’t have too bad a swing. Ron can hit the ball, Kelly is wiffing a time or two. Ron makes it to the green but it rolls off. Rob is on the green. Fly to San Juan PR Once there, find marked cars and drive 9 miles to the fort to find next clue. The clue gives them their flight information. R/A have 20 minutes to make the flight. R/K are having problems, Kelly manages to hit one onto the green. R/A arrive at airport, they are told they cannot purchase tickets for the 9:15 flight. They plead with counter and are sent to ticket office. The ticket office also denies their request.

Drive to 87 miles to city of Aguadilla, find abandoned suger refinery, follow marked path to next clue. R/K’s flight departs. U/J are at golf course. U/J hits the green fairly quickly and head for the airport. They are still determined to not give up. R/A are stuck in a traffic jam. U/J arrive at airport, are booked on 4:58pm flight and start begging money. R/A arrive in Aguadilla, hours 7:30am-4pm. They decide to wait in a hotel. R/K arrive in San Juan. They find the fort and their clue. U/J arrive in San Juan. They find the clue box and head out. R/K arrive at sugar refinery. They decide to sleep in the car outside the refinery. U/J arrive at refinery, find R/K in their car, U/J are glad they are still in the race. R/A arrive bck at refinery, everyone is there. They are running along path to find the clue. Roadblock: who will take the plunge? Jump off 30 foot bridge, swim 90 yards to find clue. Amber must do, Uchenna will do, Ron will do. R/A go the wrong way. Ron jumps off bridge first and is swimming to the boat for his clue. Uchenna jumps and swims for the clue. R/A are way behind. Ron and Uchenna are in the boats heading for shore while R/A are back where the clue box is located.

U/J’s driver is asking locals. R/A are having trouble finding the cigar shop. U/J’s driver takes them right to the shop. U/J arrive and receive their clue. Make your way to Ft. Lauderdale and find the Bonnet House and follow the path to the finish line. R/A’s driver left them, then they find him but they haven’t found the shop yet. U/J tell their driver they don’t have enough money for their fare. Rob is praying to st. Anthony. Uchenna is begging money as they drive to Ft. Lauderdale. R/A finally find the cigar shop and receive their clue, and they’re off. Meanwhile, R/K arrive at Miami and start for the causeway. U/J arrive at Bonnet House but don’t have enough money. Uchenna must beg for money before they enter Bonnet House. R/K find clue under causeway. U/J receive $20 from a couple, they need $25 more dollars. Uchenna won’t leave before he pays his fare. R/A are almost stopped by a bridge. R/A are giving their driver directions. Uchenna is begging the money in increments. U/J get enough money just as R/A are pulling in. It’s a footrace. Uchenna and Joyce are first to arrive at the Final Pit Stop. They are the official winners of The Amazing Race. They win $1 Million prize. Uchenna is so excited, this is a life changing experience, they’re going for the baby, if in vitro doesn’t work then adoption. R/A arrive second (to considerably more subdued applause). They ran a very competitive race. Their next adventure is marriage and family. Rob finished second but is first because he has Amber in his life. R/K arrive third. Kelly is ready to get married, but she doesn’t think Ron isn’t ready for that. Ron says it was a great experience.

As much as I like U/J, expected them to win, and thought I'd be happy about it, I think the outcome sucked. I didn't expect Romber to win, and was just happy to see them in all of the episodes, but the way they lost ruined the season.Romber had an 8 freakin hour lead on U/J, and got bunched. I guess we can put all the "CBS cheats for Romber" theories to bed now, as they sure put the screws to them by stealing their 8 hour lead on the final leg. Speaking of conspiracy theories...Anybody wondering how CBS got the AA plane to let U/J on that plane,to give the show a closer finish? There is no comparison to when Romber made the charter plane on an earlier leg. The plane wasn't closed and moving when they got on. Clearly, as evidenced by the fact that Romber never came in last, the best team didn't win, and the way that U/J won the prize? A very sour way to end an otherwise competitive, and entertaining season. I'd have been happy for them if they won it without the non-elim leg loss, the bunching, and the suspicious way that AA plane opened it's doors for them. Oh well, nothing new for TAR, the way the finale plays out, always stinks.

Colin and Christie, as god-awful as they were, were by far the better racers. Flo and Zach? Gah. I keep thinking that the finale will be better, but it just sucks. And remember when the teams used to not be able to tell others they were involved in a race? What happened to that rule?

just because your team lost, does not make the final crappy. The flight had already been delayed, 2 hours! Airlines always want all seats filled. There appeared to be 2 seats open. I am sure the gate called the plane to say that there were 2 people needing to get on the flight. Since there were 2 seats left, well why not let them on. Since they were already delayed over 2 hours, whats another 2 minutes. Also, the time sequence makeing the apperance of pulling away, then back on could have been the way it was edited and not in 'real time'. R/A had more lucky breaks than the rest of the other teams combined. It was only a matter of time when their luck would run out.

Right; It was CBS who arranged the flight schedules so that no one could get to the destination before it closed at 4:00.You do realize that A. the producers manipulate the tasks so that the teams cannot possibly get from point A to point B without bunching. They DO look at the schedules and make sure that there are only XXX number of flights, etc. They have a fairly good idea how long it will take the average team to complete each leg of the race and they know what time they'll be moving through each step of the race. B. the producers manipulate the hours of operation and fake them if necessary to facilitate bunching. C. that the producers have in fact arranged a number of flights this season just to keep the teams bunched. And you are right, they bunch to keep it interesting, I agree. I've always understood that. I think that they need to come up with a better penalty for the non-elmin team than no money. It seemed like a bad one at first, but it really isn't. And, the bunching sucks in the finale because there is just no way that a taxi ride or a train or a gate attendant should be the reason that you do or do not win the race. That is what is so irritating. I think they should just let them run loose in the final leg. They can edit it to look as if the teams are close if they're afraid one will leap out ahead. That would be much more preferable than screwing teams over.

Thanks for taking that, Kim. I'm getting tired of repeating myeslf.The whole suspicious AA thing, I can overlook, but what makes these finales suck is how they are laid out. Why not just have a 1 episode TAR that's a 20 minute cab ride for $1 Mil? That's what it comes down to each time anyway. I wouldn't be as disgusted if the bunching would have taken place at the START of the leg. For Romber to build an 8 hour lead on U/J, just to have it squashed mid-leg, ruins the race, IMO. They need to quit penalizing the best racers on the final leg! There is NO WAY that a team who came in last should be able to win the very next leg. Especially the final leg, simply because of bunching. It sucks, period.

I like Uchenna and Joyce but they shouldn't have won. The final bunching that made everyone wait until next morning makes all the previous work worthless. The plane that lets them in after final boarding is not right and they were lucky that their taxi driver knew spanish to guide them in Little Havana while Romber's cabbie was useless.
I also have a suggestion that would eliminate the shameful need for teams to beg: If you finish last you do indeed lose everything, cannot ask other racers or even locals for money or clothes but instead have to complete different tasks before getting their first clue. The more tasks you chose to complete, the more money you receive but the further behind you fall.

I think making teams beg for money, especially when it often happens in some of the poorest countries, is really lousy. It was painful to watch U/J having to beg last night. It's completely humiliating too. I'm glad they won, although I do think Romber was the better team. But luck, good or bad, has always played a part in TAR. Romber got lots of lucky breaks throughout the race, with help from strangers who recognized them, etc. They also have tons of wonderful parting gifts to enjoy. U/J ended up getting the lucky break at the end.

Wow that was fishy the producers had to have pulled strings to get the American Airlines plane to do what it did, you can't compare it to the flight R&A got on earlier in the race because that plane was still had the door open and the steps up to the plane in place at a small airport where it was the only flight. The last legs where better than last time but I would like to see them go back to a huge task right before the finish line like when Zach won instead of a taxi race which they have done for ages now.

That is total BS, Romber were not villians, nor were they edited as such. That was Ray's department. ... and ummm last season? Kris & Jon were the happy, supportive, wonderful couple, but Freddy & Kendra (the ugly American) were the winners. So there is no typical "winners" edit as you call it.

Never has been. There's only craptastically sh!tty planning on the part of the producers which leads us to incompetent taxi drivers deciding the outcome of the race.

I didn't know exactly how many wins each had, but it really doesn't matter, does it? It's not a guarantee the team with the most wins will wins. I can't wait to see the wedding!!!and I agree about Rob & Amber getting what they really wanted. Although I'm sure if they had it their way they wouldn't have minded an extra million. ;) I've thought the same exact thing, too, about the non-elimination legs. If a team comes in last they should be eliminated. You may have already seen this, but on the CBS website there are some vidoes called "A Night with the Amazing Race" and the host asked that question. The producer's answer was that, believe it or not, they have a budget to stick to and a certain amount of episodes to fill. Apparently, they can't afford to have more teams with one eliminated each week and no non-elims. And if they started with the same amount of teams there wouln't be enough episodes to fill the season. There might have been more of an explanation but that's just what I can remember off the top of my head. I'm sure there is sooooo much that must go into the planning of all of this that I can't even begin to understand, but that is the answer that they gave. Anyway, I totally agree with you, something needs to be done with the non-elims. They are pointless & frustrating, especially if a team that has been saved by one ends up winning in the end. And also with the bunching...IMO it takes all the fun out of watching.

just wanna clarify on the Chip/Kim resentment.Kim did one roadblock same as Christie and Nicole. Dont take it out on them. Romber won 4 legs. CBS Leaderboard had an error. The leg b4 the FINAL, Ron and Kelly was in first place. So the person who talked abt Romber winning 4 legs is correct. And abt the thing stated that U/J could have fallen into the river and been eaten by crocodile, it is not for you to speculate what would have happened. Anything could have happened to all the teams and that might have changed the final result. But face the facts and deal with it. Venting your anger with childish remarks is not gonna help. Peace.

All this resentment between us won't lead anywhere. Since none of the teams had promised me a share in the winnings, I didn't really care who won as long as it was entertaining and the winners ran a good race.
Rob and Amber ran the best race overall including the last leg. Rob brought a new dimension to this game. Like he said he brought Survivor tactics to the AR! The lowest they finished was 5th when there were still 9 teams in the race and even that finish showed their cunning. Rob used the rules to, in effect, yield 2 teams (Rob's penalty time had started while theirs wouldn't until the next team arrived). R/A won more legs then anyone else and when they didn't win, they were almost always close.
Uchenna and Joyce are nice people and good for them for winning but as far as running a good race, I'm not so sure. They had won 2 legs but one was from a FF which isn't the same. That final victory fell into their lap rather then them having done anything to beat their competition. Their real merit was in not quitting when it looked hopeless in the Jamaican airport. Maybe that in itself was worth the million.
