yomaster 2 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "American Cancer Society Spokesperson" 09-14-04, 10:55 AM (EST) "Singing contest for people over 30" Does anybody know if there are any shows or contests planned for people over 30? I was unfortunately too old to ever audition for these types of shows..and I was so excited about that show "performing as" when it came on because it had people on there over 30. But then it was cancelled.   Top

"RE: Singing contest for people over 30" I remember that last year, Oprah did an AI-esque contest for older people. She may do another one this year. But if I remember, it was only for Americans (which sucks for Canucks like me). Three is the perfect number.   Top

I'm not AI or CI quality. I'm eligible for CI but I haven't entered. They aren't looking for someone who sings opera and classical. They want pop or rock. Three is the perfect number.   Top

"RE: Singing contest for people over 30" strid- come on.. you have classical training..you can sing anything! you got the technique! GO FOR IT! I use to be primarily into classical music and I have performed with Washington Opera and many orchestras and chorus groups..but then I branched out. I enjoy performing all types of music now. And I would even sing country if someone wanted to pay me! lol   Top
