"Keith's indebtedness to Tina"
Everyone seems to be assuming that Keith owes a great debt to Tina for sacrificing herself in the immunity challenge of episode 7. There is also an assumptiomn that this feeling of indebtedness will cause Keith to behave kindly towards Tina. Has it occurred to anyone that Tina's sacrifice was for her own survival, and not done to help anyone else but herself. All of the contestants knew that they would become very vulnerable if a member of their tribe was voted out in episode 7. Keith was the O tribe's most vulnerable member, since he had 3 votes against him from prior tribal counsels. Tina stepped down be cause she realized that if she didn't, Keith could be voted out. Since she had no votes cast against her, Tina was relatively safe from being voted out. If she didn't step down and had won the challenge the Kuchas would have had a 50-50 shot of voting for someone with votes against them (Keith or Jerri). By stepping down, the possability that Kucha would chose someone with votes against them was reduced to 25% (only Jerri). I'm not sure why this creates a large debt of gratitude from Keith to Tina

Esquire, I've been thinking that same thing. I remember when they were on the log and Keith said, "Tina, I really need this". You could see her brain thinking about two steps ahead for a few minutes, then she stepped down.

I also thought at TC that evening when Keith said something to the affect that Tina is my new buddy, Tina looked a little uncomfortable. Keith may see it that he owes Tina a big debt - he seems to - but I don't think he really does. Like you said, I think she did it for the tribe. The loyalty to her now by Keith is just an extra lucky bonus.

Come on Tina, do Tennessee proud

I agree Tina did it for herself. She had to help Keith to save herself in the long run. If Ogakor lost a member they would all be picked off one by one like Kucha are now. Plus if she refused to get off the post and Keith was booted she would have had the wrath of the rest of the Ogakor tribe to deal with. Tina isn't stupid. She is playing the game for herself.
