Fantasia SHOULD win and Fantasia WILL win. She has been the only standout this season, no question. She is the most versatile, she is the most original, she has been the most consistant bar none. Yes, LaToya and Jennifer have the pipes also but they have not been as consitant and original as Fantasia. She's there because she deserves it and she is the next American Idol. geekboy   Top

I have a feeling she was number one and Jasmine was number two the week they were the top two and La Toya was voted off. I'd bet Fantasia inherited La Toya's votes, but that may not be enough to take the Jasmine/Diana combination.   Top

"RE: Who do you think will win the title and why??" diana should be the idol. she has powerful voice, sings many songs with an almost perfect tune, sings pop songs with great smile, good eye contact with the audience. the only drawbacks of her are immature personality & no dancing skills. fantasia has powerful voice too, sings with an almost perfect tune but sounds like a singing clown (the tune thing, she's a bit better than diana). her eye contact is good, she dances ok but her personality is like a crook. the personality thing-childish vs crookish, which is better?   Top

"RE: crook?" she talks like she's not serious with the competition but deep down in her heart everyone knows that she wants so much to be the winner. i agree with some people saying that she's like a gangsta. a gangsta usually has somekind of dishonesty, not knowing to other people. i believe, fantasia is who she really is outside the competition, that's good, but at times we shouldn't be who we really are. this is a very big show. the way she reponds to the judges made some people think that she doesn't have to show something in her personality because her great singing talent is more than enough. she makes others think "she's just being herself, that's very good. she doesn't need the personality thing to support her outstanding talent, not like other contestants". i believe she's using phsycology on the viewers. being in front of millions of viewers all over the world, she shouldn't be who she really is. she just have to change a bit of herself being more courteous but she didn't.we don't need a plastic surgery to change our personality. anyway, if fantasia wins, she just deserves that. diana is just as good as she is. they both deserve to be the finalists.   Top

Also think how many more million votes they can have Ryan shout out. I am sure Diana will winn due to the fact that she had her glory show 2 weeks ago and Fantasia had her glory show last week. I am sure the song or even if we can call it a song that Tamyra wrote will be catered to Diana's voice. Fantasia is a good singer and entertainer on upbeat style songs. She did well with the Whitney Houston song but clearly hit some bad notes. I am sure the song written will have a number of screaming points and long holding notes to cater to Diana. However, as they expressed to everyone last week Fantasia will be signed by Clive Davis (if she is not already) and go on to have a bigger and better career then Diana. Diana will win and after watching this show this season and seeing what goes on with voting, etc., I think they are making a mockery of the public by allowing us to think we actuallyy chose the winner when in all actuality they did and they have the right to do whatever they please.   Top

Holy cow.....not sure what to say but I am completely perplexed. I have never heard Dianna scream. NOT ONCE!!! NOW Fantasia on the other hand screams....well.....a better word would be "HOLLAS".....oh my gosh....she screams and "HOLLAS" straight through her nose. Veins pop out of her head.....her eyes bug out....she is a clone of all the other singers who like to add gooffy crap to songs. I can not stand it when a song is mutilated by singers who have to add noises, grunts, groans and who constantly stretch out words with added..."ayyayyyayyyyyy..awwwwoooooowosowoaoalaaaaass". Can not even spell what they do to songss. JUST SING THE SONG!!!!!!If wining is singing then she is great. But it really doesn't matter. Dianna is the only true singer on the show. They are not looking for a singer. At least Simon, Paula and Randy aren't. They want funkyfied wining stomping screaming(HOLLA-ING) word distorting nasally singer who "aint" white. WHO cares if Fantasia is a single mom. So am I. Two children. A 15 year old son and a 13 year old duaghter. Raised then both alone. Put my self through school. Never borrowed a penny. Never taken a penny from the Government. Did it on mt own with plain hard work. Now I am a Sub. Teacher and Librarian. BIG DARN WHOOP. Now they are both Honor Roll students and in Honor Band and have won scholarships to and attend Performing Arts schools. BUT once again BIG DARN WHOOP. That is what we are all supposed to do...WORK HARD!!!!   Top

Just about 100% of AI contestants have stated that they had been to two or more auditions/try outs for the show before they ever made it on the show. They have also added they have been in many talent shows and pageants. Dianna is not any one famous in Georgia. Born, raised and lived in Metro-Atlanta my whole life. Never heard of the girl before AI. She is not anyone in the know nor is she anyone "connected". That is why she had to go to AI for a shot. BUT now she is very well know here in Georgia...or as some like to say....the "ATL"...or "Hot-Lanta". A fellow teacher at the school where I teach was once a Miss-Teen Georgia finalist. We had never heard of her when she got a job at the school where I teach. Did not do anything for her. You just have to get out there and keep trying and looking for talent shows. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it never does.   Top

I am completely sick of the stupid talk of a fricking conspiracy at Fox and AI. Yeah, so Jenn and LaToya were voted out, big deal. Tamyra was voted out the first year. Was Justin better than Tamyra? No, he wasn't. In the end, in season 1 the right person won. In season two we had essentially a tie and two winners and IMHO America got that right too. America will get it right this year, and i think the truth will come out on Tuesday night when Fantasia outshines Diana. America got it right this past week. I think in general people make up their mind right before they vote, and that will happen again. As i said in my original vote, Fantasia has been extremely consistant whereas Diana has not. Diana has improved, i'll give you that, but this final vote will come down to teh entire season if people do it right. This is their final shining moment. Diana is not on par with Fantasia, and Fantasia will shine brighter.   Top

From each one of their mouths you have heard nothing but praise for this versatile performer. I think what people don't like about Fantasia are things that are judgemental. For example, she has a baby. OMG.. how many other teens realistically have a baby. This women with a baby in tow is reaching out to obtain her dream. Maybe, for some women who might sit at home due to having a child early this may help them get up and go still chase their dreams. (By the way i'm not on a campaign for single mothers). The point is this woman can sing a wide range of things and is already a performer. Fantasia has her admirers. You will see her top charts for many years to come. She might not be someones cup of tea as she doesn't fit the reality of what their american idol is. But she can sing. Diana too is really come on strong in the end of the competition. This girl has responded so well with the professional singers coaching her. Her best performances were after this. Diana is easy to like. You saw the video of her going home to her hometown. She was not shy with the mayor. This young lady is Very graceful for her age. She fits what I would call traditional pop star image. So she could win on that. She can sing as well. I think she is limited at this point. She does the slower ballad type thing with long held notes well. Her versatility is coming. Maybe it will be there this week. I think the people who are gone were gone for a reason. Latoya isn't there any longer because she had a lack of connection with the audience. perfect in many ways but kinda icy. Jennifer unfortunately connected too late. I think she was hurt like Amy by the judges early comments. If George would not have gotten off track, his personality would have carried him through I believe for the win. He was just so sweet and happy. Sincere. Hard not to like that kid. Now who will win. Diana is very possible if the teen agers are the only voters. But with Clay and Ruben it became a showdown and the media coverage of this may make this happen again. I think if you look at the overall performance then Fantasia has what it takes. When I watched the show last week Diana was much better and I think that has to do with the songs that we select for her to sing. The person that selects the songs know that this is the song for her voice and she will sound good. They picked bad songs for Fantasia like "Fool in Love" didn't like that song didn't do anything for her vocally. I don't vote on a the one night performance I always vote for the overall performance. I think that there are some things that are rigged/fixed but as a whole I think that it is for the most part a true phone in contest. Yeah. The voting process could be worked on but I am ignorant of how to improve it. So many rumors last year about Clay really winning and it being rigged for Rueben to win. Not sure how I feel about that rumor. Does not really matter. They both put out CDs and are both doing well. Yes, it looks like Clay is doing better right now. Have not figured out why he has connected with the music buying audience a little more than Rueben but I am of no help to either them. I have yet to buy any of the AI's music....winners or finalists. Great show. Great music. But none of it is really what a buy and listen to. For the most part I am a "BLUES" fan. Which is probably why I liked Nikki M and Kimberly Caldwell. I just love those raspy bluesy voiceS. You know...that Joss Stone and Susan Tedeschi sound. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!! I have not put my heart into one particular contestant. There is a small part of me that....maybe...just a little bit, is not sure if I think that it is real and not rigged. I am without a doubt struggling with that question. That said, I don't think the Idol producers really care who wins. 19 Entertainment and BMG are only required to record the winner -- but they have a 90-day exclusive option to sign any of the 12 finalists. Thus, if they think someone is really good, they'll sign 'em -- and even if they don't sign 'em (such as Kimberley Locke), someone else will. From my viewpoint, the only thing the Idol producers REALLY want to do is encourage text messaging. Their current voting system does just that.   Top

Although they are close in age and both talented, Fantasia has a maturity, and excitement to her performances that Diana has not reached yet. I don't see Diana as inheriting Hawaii. Hawaiians just won't vote. Fantasia will receive votes from the more mature audience that doesn't ususally vote but will make the effort for the final, and she will have inherited some of LaToya's votes -- those viewers who appreciate a mature performance. On Ryan's show they all agreed that Dianna's first two songs were better than Fantasia's and that Fantasia's last song was better than Dianna's last song. It does not matter that Dianna had a better night overall. Paula and Simon went nuts making sure everyone knew that because Fantasia had a good last song that that means Fantasia should when. I watch Randy on an interview this morning. He really impressed me.He was honest and fair and show no favoritism. He said that Dianna was better last night overall but he still would not try to guess who would win. After hearing him my resepct for him trippled. I was so glad to see honor in Hollywood. I get the most fun watching Paula, Her demeanor is totallty different for Fantasia then Dianna. BUT at least Paula admits it herself .Simon does too. I respect them both for admitting that they have certain styles, genres, sounds and types of singers that they prefer. I also honor them both for admitting that they have a hard time hiding their favoritism. When Dianna does better than Fantasia Paula does not say anything other than..."that waoh man watch Paula go....she nearly peeeeees all over her self..jumps up and down....cries and slobbers all over the place. It is quite fun and fascinating to watch(which is probably why I am now studying psychology). I LOVE watching and listening people..their body language..facial expressions. It is soooooo revealing. Paula is fun. She is not good and controling herself and being impartial or fair. BUT like I said she is fun to watch. CONGRADUALTIONS TO THEM BOTH!!!!! No matter who whens, it has been a heck of a competition this time. A little toooo much drama and BS was floating around in the air than I prefer but it was still a fascinating year. PEOPLE(including myself) ARE A TRIP!!!!!!   Top
