toddE 1433 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Beef Jerky Spokesperson" 01-21-04, 09:55 AM (EST) "America's Next Top Model, Episode 2" What do you think after two episodes? Who are your favorites? Who needs to go? Joanna has become my favorite because she is just so beautiful to me. As one of the judges said, she has awesome bones structure. I think Catie is going to go far because, while she is rather bland-looking, IMHO, she is also very professional. Who needs to go? Well, I seem to have forgotten her name( is it April?), but the girl who Jenascia helped in Ep. 1 doesn't have much to offer, and Heather is in the same category as Catie, but lesser. Finally, Sarah is kind of porno-looking, so I look for her to go fairly soon.   Top

"RE: America's Next Top Model, Episode 2" ok - first of all - looking at previews to next weeks episode - NO THEY DO NOT CHOP OFF ALL CATIE'S HAIR!! She's a BEAUTIFUL girl and they just killed her! ok - she needed a new hairstyle - but not pixie! she doesn't have a pixie face! I'm glad Bethany and her boobs are gone though. (I was sick of hearing her say the word t*ts AND I was sick of seeing that freaky Dr. Seuss who-ville picture of her from last week.) I'm still routing for Shandi...I want to see her "grow" this season. but Joanna (Yoanna - whatever) has potential I think...she needs to learn to walk - either that or go to bootcamp. Xiomaria (sp?) just FREAKS me out! Her "walk" did make her look like she was possessed! her eyes just scare me. She had that "amazon warrior" look going on...   Top

"RE: America's Next Top Model, Episode 2" I forgot all about Xiomara--she has a very ugly mouth. I mean, not what she says, her physical mouth/teeth. I do not like her looks at all. She is on the "got to go soon" list. Shandi is clearly very beautiful once she gets made over, but she is really too thin. Her hip bones were just jutting out last night, and I do not find that attractive. finally, I wanted to dog this site for giving dedicated boards to shows like ToddTV, which I believe no one watches, and not this show, which is one of UPNs highest-rated, but given the low activity in this thread, I guess SurvivorBlows knows best.   Top

I love this show...and I'm so upset that I'm going to miss it next week (will be on vacation) hopefully they'll encore next weeks episode on Wednesday night too...then I'll be able to watch it! I MUCH rather watch a show full of people competing towards something tangible (a modeling contarct) and not a wedding. I mean come on 'my big fat obnoxious fiance?" the show doesn't even make sense and it's just sheer stupidity! much rather watch cat-fights between skinny girls than that trainwreck.   Top

Um no, just my best guesses. The shows that I've been giving new forums to are pretty much without exception either brand new shows that seem to have a pre-show buzz around them (Average Joe, Simple Life, Apprentice, Fiance, etc.) or shows that were around previously but had enough postings in the "Other Shows" forum to demonstrate they could probably support their own forums (Paradise Hotel, Real World, etc.) Most of the time I hit it right, but sometimes (Fame - cough - cough) I don't. Since Top Model didn't seem to have much of a following in the "Other Shows" forum last year, and it wasn't a new show either, it doesn't have a forum. But it's not a big deal on my end to give it one... and judging from the traffic to our Top Model website on RTVW.com today, it probably deserves a shot, so I'll add one. -SB   Top

"RE: America's Next Top Model, Episode 2" I agree that Yoanna is beautiful, but she has no self esteem, and it really shows in her walk and in her poses. I hope that she can overcome whatever voice is telling her she doesn't have what it takes, b/c I think she does. As for Shandi, I just don't see it. I think she was chosen for this show based solely on her emaciated figure. While those nude colored bathing suits didn't do anybody any favors, she made me want to hurl up my burrito. With her sunken in chest and jutting hip bones there was nothing there that said "sexy" to me. All I saw was a little girl with a very severe eating disorder who has never seen nor heard of those things they call high heels. Geebus. Alicia is a dismissive witch who claims she only came on this show for fun, but I'm betting she'll cry like Tammy Faye Baker when she gets the boot. Sara is pretty but we hardly ever hear from her. Heather? Looks like every other model you see in YM, which is fine, but not "TOP MODEL" material. And Catie is just meh. She looked like she was trying to hold in a giant turd on the catwalk last night. Meh. Camille= socially inept egomaniac. I think she is beautiful and talented, but she can't take criticism, and if Janice Dickinson is any indicator of just how cruel the fashion indutsry can be, Camille will not make it trying to argue with future employees about who's at fault for her mistakes. In her defense, and I won't be saying that very often b/c I don't like her either, this is a competition, not a sorority dorm room, so anyone who's looking to make "friends" on this show is just as dumb as they want to make models out to be. I am glad Bethany went home as well. I was also tired of listening to her say that she didn't want people to only notice her for her boobs, excuse me, t*ts. First of all, the only other striking thing about her was her ginormous horse teeth, so she should have been glad they had something else to look at. Second, when you pay that much money for your "t*ts" I'm guessing you really do want people to notice them.   Top

"RE: America's Next Top Model, Episode 2" I didn't watch the first season, but I am enjoying this season. I think Shandi needs to go for so many reasons - too skinny, can't walk, can't pose, can't put on make-up... I like Mercedes because she is interesting looking, but the rest are just average to me. I'm amazed at how out of shape so many of them seem to be. It is strange to look at flabby skinny girls when we have been used to looking at women on the dating shows who work out a lot.   Top

Shandi does seem to be the designated "diamond in the rough" and while she is pretty, she certainly doesn't seem to be Adrianne-level (then again, I am a big Adrianne fan). She is so skinny, can't walk at all, etc. And I also think that Mercedes isn't very attractive when she is being herself, but then in the photo shoots, she looks great!   Top

"RE: America's Next Top Model, Episode 2" At the beginning of the show I was sure that the winner would be Shandi. She kind of has the diamond in the rough model look. She is skinny and tall. Her bony structure makes her standout out of the pack. I guess that is the reason that they kept her in Ep. 2. Catie looks now in Ep. 2 like she can go a long way, that is if she survives Ep. 3. I loved April though too in Ep 2. She had the best legs on the runway at the end of the episode. Might go far too.   Top

"RE: America's Next Top Model, Episode 2" Catie will go far but not all the way - she just has the "average" model look - which is basically beautiful. I do think they are trying to mold both Yohana and Shandi. Yohana is showing she really wants it and I will be surprised if she does not go far. Who would I like to see go next Camille not because of her looks but because of her attitude. I think Shandi will be gone soon as well as Camille.   Top

I think Yoanna will go far, since she really wants this and has good bone structure.
