"ABC Clue Cards"
Misdirection, or helpful ABC is posting a clue card, looks like for each episode.

I thought we might want a place to discuss these.

At least for me after a little bit that square changes and reveals the clue. If it doesn't roll over there are some arrows under the box to scroll through the options.

Mark, the feather brain history teacher who didn't know (or pretended not to know) that revolvers and Levis were not around in the early 1700's.

E_E_E_, if it is ELEVEN, then the underlined characters might be the clue. LVN. Can't put that on anything yet, though.

Paul, the over-actor from New York, is the eleventh picture shown on the web page. And the ally/confidant of Marcie who somehow had all the wrong answers.

eLeVeN
LVN, could stand for Las Vegas, Nevada.
Las Vegas is where you'd find the headquarters to UFC fighting.

Ali, is a UFC ring girl.

Welcome to these boards, essturn and Samantha, those are good observations. I like the Las Vegas Nev. Spec because it just points to one person. But any one clue could be to just to narrow the field of suspects, not necessarily to point to one person exclusively. Especially at this point in the show. If I were a producer, I'd like to get a bit farther into the show before I began to reveal person specific clues.

I kind of like Liz because she seems so unlikely to be a mole, or to be able to pull off the deception. She's easy to dismiss.

Was this clue up before the episode aired?

Yes, it was. I remember seeing it yesterday when I went to the site to read the contestant bios.

As for its meaning, I also noticed that the journal he held up was #11 and was looking to see if we could spot who got that one, but I didn't. Maybe something to keep an eye out for in future episodes.

Or, The 11th letter of the alphabet is K. The only contestant name beginning with K is Kristen.

Unless you go backward, in which case the 11th letter is P for Paul. Paul is also 29 which adds up to 11. And he is the 11th person alphabetically on the list of contestants.

I'm sure if we try we can come up with 11's for many of the others. For example, Victoria is from Bishop Texas which adds up to 11 letters. And if you abbreviate "is the mole" to ITM and add that to the number of letters in her name you get 11. Don't forget she was the only one with the green thumb print on her head. If that was CGI'd in it and not on the helmet at the time could also mean she was the winner.

If I recall, insanity was never too far away when trying to interpret mole clues.

Mark was the 11th to go on the raft. And he is a soccer coach and there are 11 players on a team. I just found his crying about his wife and money seemed phony.

I think Alex had journal #11. And he is a musician and the host said that was music to the Mole's ears.

I also want to go back and see who was the 11th person to be introduced. They used that clue in season 1. MOLE has 4 letters, and the 4th person they showed arriving in the opening package turned out to be the mole. They probably wouldn't use the same type of clue twice, but you never know. I'll have to check the ole DVR.

Hey volsfan, good to see you!

It could be a combination of both I guess. As I realize, and michel pointed out, we don't have past editing patterns to draw from, so we'll be making observations without necessarily knowing what will turn out to be significant. But it could help us for future seasons...

Website clue card: E_E_E_
Clue card sent to mobile users: NIC @ IT

After going over the waterfall Craig said: "the line pulls taut and just chokes me like a hanged man."

E_E_E_ = hangman

As for the number eleven, Craig was introduced 11th during the opening. I don't think the number being on the journal means anything as far as who has journal number 11. It seems it is shown only to put the number 11 in our head.

On the boat on the way to the island game, Craig is in the very front of the boat with his arms stretched out like whatshisname in the movie Titanic.

NIC @ IT = NICATIT = TITANIC

The following isn't from clue cards but important anyway. If you don't want to know then stop reading here.

The host mentioned Robinson Crusoe being based on a sailor named Alexander Selkirk. If you google that name you find out the guys name at birth was Alexander Selcraig. If this isn't a very big clue, then why mention the guys name when they could have stuck with saying the game is based on Robinson Crusoe.

And remember who brought the big sign saying someone would be going home and signed "The Mole". Craig.
