Oh she's said that before, and while she admits taking pain meds (which wouldn't count as recreational, and with the injuries and all would be legit prescriptions) I think she's fooling herself if she thinks that they can't possibly do anything that other people would notice and she would act the exact same with or without them.I mean I wouldn't want to be on TV when I've taking medication after a surgery, and those weren't for recreational purposes.
I also wonder what she counts as "drunk" with alcohol. Some people don't count tipsy, but even a little tipsy can make a huge difference in behavior. You don't need to be falling down drunk for people to notice you are more than your usual level of goofy.

When DH looks at me on a Sunday morning and says, "man, were you wasted last night" I insist I was just a bit tipsy. Two totally different things. And my best friend is the river in Egypt.
