Crystal was ready to leave a couple of weeks ago.

TMZ is reporting Crystal Bowersox nearly quit this crapfest known as American Idol a couple of weeks ago, only to be talked out of her decision by the always-eloquent Ryan Seacrest.

I saw that too. Funny, because of the confidence she shows on stage. More than anyone else she seems to confidently take possession of it up there. She has a kind of wide stance that reminds me of Captain Ahab commanding the Pequod.

Crystal wanted to leave, but the talk with Ryan occurred backstage, not in the parking lot.
