Hi,

I'm fairly new to the board - but I enjoy reading the posts and love the weekly recaps I find here.

I hope someone can answer this question for me, since I'm confused about the timing of the episodes since this is a live show.....When are the episodes filmed in relation to when they're aired and when we get to vote the guys off? For example -did the TV cameras go into Ken's family and maybe even Paul's to film the segments that aired last night, but then never got shown because of the votes? That seems like a lot to put Ken's family through for nothing, if it's the case. I'm wondering if what's shown is even filmed two weeks prior - because someone on the board was talking about Lisa being on a date in New York (with Renda or Paul and his play?)when the blackout occurred and that was two weeks ago.

I really liked all the families, but especially cracked up when Renda's family appeared with the Groucho glasses. I'm glad that segment made it past the cutting room floor.

I'd appreciate any insight you could share.

I was trying to figure that out myself. My guess is that they had to split the hometown visits up into two weeks, because there wasn't enough time in just one week for her to visit all of the hometowns. I would guess that Paul and Ken's just didn't get shown, but were filmed.

I think the family visits were done over a period of a couple of weeks....as the guys all live in basically three regions of the country (NY, Chicago, and LA). I think they did the family visit with both Paul and Ken (since she was visiting NY with Renda and Paul around the time of the blackout...based on what we saw last night, and the news article about Paul taking her to his play). Last weeks episode, when all the dates were with children, looked like they were all done the same day, as Lisa was wearing the same outfit in each date, and those dates wouldn't take that much time....so that left time for them to travel to hometowns. I'm guessing they finished with the Chicago dates last week.
