"Phew! Was that bashful Hank????"

Posted by HappyDayz on 08-27-03 at 07:22 AM
I've said it before, Hank and Lisa are electric together. I was surprised by his words/actions on his date with Lisa this week, my mouth dropped open in fact, but you could tell the two of them were very wrapped up in each other and I don't think it was really out of line considering how they seem to feel about each other (and I don't think they realized that quiet whispers were going to be picked up by the audio). Lisa didn't say all that much, but she seemed just as 'in the moment' as Hank did. Hank looked shocked and somewhat embarrassed after the video, and Lisa was downright giddy...I love these two together!

He sure isn't bashful anymore. Phew is right! That was hot! Funny how I felt it was right for him to be doing that, but when Renda kissed Lisa, I was felt it wasn't right. Sort of like when Liza Minelli's creep of a husband fish-kissed her in public

Schnookie....you took the words right out of my mouth. I too felt it seemed natural with Hank and Lisa....they have some intense feelings happening...and to be honest, I thought his placing his hand on her leg seemed kind of sexy...he did not make a move to try anything else, but rather was just touching her leg while they kissed (and girlfriend did not look like she disapproved in any way!). Something just wasn't quite right with the long Renda kisses though. I think it seemed kind of strange, to me anyway, that he would kiss her like that (long kisses...over and over again) with his family basically sitting there staring at them....save the making out for the alone time, not 'meet the family' hour!

My mouth dropped open too!! I was really embarassed for them. I guess there is a lot more passion to Hank than Laura thought!

It was disgusting! I thought he was going to reach right up her skirt. The guys' a player and as soon as he gets to bang her, he's on to the next one.

No, spoken like an insightful adult who knows a phoney when he sees one. Hank acted like a 16 year old boy with raging hormones.

Hank didn't act like a 16 yr old boy he acted like a MALE pure and simple (my apologies ot teh male gender if this offends them) but Lisa seemed to enjoy that so how is it gross if they were both wrapped up in the moment and Hank a player pls! if he was a player he would have acted more like....i almost want to say joe with the money thing its like a front

If hank were a player, he would be more like evan.

Apparently you nothing of players. A real player doesn't act like one all the time, which is why he is a player. He does exactly what Hank does, pretends to sweet to get the woman into bed, and once he gets what he wants, he's gone. And I don't think Lisa totally enjoyed the groping. She seemed a little embarrassed, but she let it slide because she likes the guy. I think her comment to his "I want to skrew you" line was "OH God!"

We'll just have to wait and see what happens in the next few shows.

If it had been me he was groping, I would have also been saying "Oh God" but in a "Oh God, I want you so bad it hurts and where's the nearest motel" kind of way

I'm sure you would. And when he didn't call you back the next morning you'd be saying "What a jerk! I can't believe I fell for that!"

LMBO Oh my! You captured my thoughts completely! And rewatching the show...it looked like Lisa snuggled in closer....she definitely was not turned off by it. No way do I think Hank is a player...I think he's falling head over heels. The guy didn't even kiss her until the 3rd date, and he was being pressured pretty hard.

I.heart.Schnookie....and Hank too.
You can't force passion.

if he had actually said i want to screw you i would be agreeing with you but he didn't say it bluntly liek that he said "I want to make love to you" its in a different context which cahnges how it comes across and if they have chemistry great for them but if she liked it y is it such a bad thing?

He DID say "I want to skrew you" that "I want to make love to you" is just what guys say because they know that's what women want to hear. If he were really sincere, he would not have said anything like that. A kiss would be enough. And food for thought Hank fans, he can whisper "I want to make LOVE to you" in her ear but he STILL has not said simply "I love you." That's why I truly don't think Hank is as sincere as you all think. He's putting on a good act for Lisa and tv and he's got all of you snowed. His actions are speaking louder than his words. He's bashing the other guys and groping Lisa on TV. And he's doing this now because he knows he's gotten in good enough with everyone so he can get away with it. I'm not fooled.

Whatever. It's just a tv show. We'll just see how it all pans out in the end.

in all honesty would you say i love you if you knew 6 or 5 (sry i forgot how many are left) were vying for her attention in all likely hood she would never say it back anyway

I think Hank is going to be as terrified when it comes to telling her he loves her as he was working up the nerve to kiss her. I think he may love her now, based upon how dejected he looked when he talked about how her dating other guys is "the pain of it"....but I think he may have trouble saying expressing it, given the situation....I think he should probably be fessing up soon, though, as there are only two more weeks to vote and it's about time to lay all the cards on the table.

Frankly, no I wouldn't say it. But I wouldn't be groping her and talking dirty in her ear either. I would have more respect for her and the other guys vying for her affections as well. BUt the point is, if he is bold enough say and do what he did, he should be bold enough to say "I love you". And "I love you" needs to come before talking about making love. I think he has lust for her right now, but not love.

I agree. I was totally expecting the girls to call him on that one!

Maybe, maybe not. To me, it looked like passion.

I thought so too, Schnookie.....it looked very passionate....and Lisa certainly didn't seem to be having any problems with it, lol. She looked pretty happy to be there. In Hank's defense, I don't think he believed that his whispers would be heard ~ let alone deciphered and labeled on the big screen (someone in the audio department obviously worked hard to share that little intimate moment with us). You could tell by the looks on Hank and Lisa's faces that they were surprised at all that was shown.

I missed what Hank said only because the school closing marquee covered up not only his mouth, but the "closed captioning" by the sound guys. I figured he was saying something along the lines of making love. Total passion if you ask me, and Lisa was definitely NOT turned off. HOT HOT HOT!

Hank is HOT!!

I agree with those who saw real passion there. Wow! I thought it was a very hot moment. I do not interpret Hank's moves as revealing that he is a "player (*waves to kcstrip above*), but rather that he wants to go to the next level. Homegirl Lisa looks like she's ready too.

FWIW, if I really like a guy as much as Lisa likes Hank--by the 5th date we are doing the horizontal Tango. And smiling a lot. Does that me a player? Nope--it makes me an adult. YMMV

I agree Schnookie, it looked like things were getting pretty steamy out there on the old porch swing. It seemed like a genuine case of mutual physical attraction, even with the cameras rolling away and recording every nuance for posterity. I also believed that both Hank and Lisa were surprised that they closed captioned Hank's whispers. Surprised, but not at all turned off or regretful..... As far as the old "I love you" and whether or not he should have said it, I think it came off as being more honest that he didn't use the "L" word. I think that it's not at all uncommon to feel all out lust before being ready to declare undying love. Hank seems all the more trustworthy for not casually tossing about the "love you's" ala Robert A, whose been saying it from the beginning. After all, they've only known each other for a few weeks, and there interactions have been closely monitored and controlled.

I was blown away by that scene...that sexy, take-charge side of Hank came out and it was great to witness! We've seen how the sparks fly between Lisa and Evan and it's good to see that Lisa and Hank have that too.

I liked it too. Who wants a guy who is wishy washy awwwwww shucks ALL the time? I thought this new side of Hank was pretty sexy and Lisa was eating it up. I wouldn't have been surprised to see her light up a ciggy at the end of that clip.
