"Ep 6 preview"

Episode #6 "Crimes of Fashion"
The candidates compete in a world of high style and beautiful women - the sexy, cutthroat world of fashion. One candidate spends too much time hitting on the models while another candidate is given menial tasks so they don't get in the way.

The winners pop champagne with celebrities at an exclusive party while the losers come apart at the seams in the boardroom as the 6th candidate is fired.

Sounds like the men finally lose I can't see the women coming apart anymore than they already have.

Oh please! Apex hasn't completely self-destructed yet! The witches banned together this week to get that outsider from team Mosaic booted. Now that's teamwork! The witches will come apart at the seams when there are no scapegoats left and they now have to turn on each other!!

The guys have won a lot and I'm sure they are reasonable enough to realize they will eventually lose a task, but they will just be diplomatic and accept it. They know this week they squeaked by and those witches are always right on their heels. I just don't see them coming apart at the seams.

It's the House of Apex vs. the House of Mosaic as the rival teams design and sell lines of clothing. Of course the fashion statement that really counts comes from Donald Trump, who says that one of the designers is, "very, very avant-garde." For the losing team, that's two verys too many, and what sends it to the boardroom. Who'll get fired? Trump's answer, "Who was primarily responsible for that (design) choice?" But first, there are glitzy fashion shows ---and a faux pas involving decorum, not competence. "One of the candidates," says Trump, "is a definite model hound."

Sounds like one of the guys will drool over the models. Wonder who will go with avant-garde?? My instinct says Raj, but this (now getting pretty irritating) show has taught me one thing... NEVER assume anything as that will not be what will happen!

I agree nutz. When I first read it Raj came to mind. If not Raj, then my next is Chris.

Oh, I almost think this has to be Raj. If he's drooling over Anna, he'll be drooling over models too.

Don't forget that Chris has an exemption this episode (even if he did totally abdicate as PM last week). I don't think he'll pull a Bradford, so it will be sort of a nonissue if it's him.

Sandy would seem to be the natural pick for the women as project manager. I would think she would be the most likely person to pick something very avant-garde. Unless the men defer to Raj I can't see any of them wanting to pick something too far afield of the range--they would seem more likely to rely on the experts while the women would be more likely to strike off on their own.

Based on that: My preliminary boot picks would be either Sandy or Raj.

"Ep. 7 preview"

TVguide.com's listing has a description of ep. 7:

It says, "First, there is a corporate restructuring, but almost immediately both new teams go to the dogs (the task is canine related), and when The Donald finishes with the team that ends up in the doghouse, the field has been pared to 11."

Soooo, on 10/21 ep. the teams will be mixed up (FINALLY!), also the format of 1 person fired each week will continue for ep.'s 6 & 7. (We have 13 left as of now.)

I think the restructuring could point to the women losing again in ep. 6. (Won't it be ironic that these women can't even design WOMEN's clothing??) The total # left for Apex is now 6 and Mosaic has 7. If the men lose in ep. 6, each team would then have an even # of 6 people. If the witches lose, the teams will have to be evened up again b/c Apex would be down to 5.

Of course, I could be all wrong about this... I can't seem to predict anything this season!

Raj, definately has to be the model hound. I mean his behavior towards Anna, then running around the stadium in his boxers! No way will he ever be Donald's Apprentice!

the men lost the boy toy task so it's possible the women might lose the women fashion.

No, I think you're right. The teams were even after Pam went over to Apex. Her leaving makes them down one to Mosaic, and another loss would make them two down. Since this would leave five women on Apex and seven men on Mosaic, I think that two women go over to Mosaic and three men come over to Apex. This would result in six people on each team and as even a distibution as possible with two fewer women than men.

Agree with your thinking, subman.

But I think that it will be Raj or Andy who gets into hot water with the models. Probably Andy....

"But I think that it will be Raj or Andy who gets into hot water with the models. Probably Andy...."

I don't think Raj is going to be the model hound for a couple of reasons. i also think mosaic wins in episode 6:
1. they (mark burnett) are leading us to believe that it will be him because they made such a big deal of the anna kournikova stunt. whenever i think something is going to happen, it doesn't.
2. raj seems pretty smart and focused when it comes to WORK. the tennis game was part of the reward challenge. I don't think he would risk being fired just to attempt to score another date. maybe someone gets in trouble with the models at the post-show "celebration." (that is if mosaic wins).
3. many of us are assuming the women will win. i think they are going to trick us again!! I know many women that suck at fashion, and so far i have not been impressed with the women's clothing choices.

Agree with you on Raj. I think he will pay attention to business during the task. If the model-hounding takes place during the reward section, then I would guess he would be a prime candidate. If it occurs during the task, then I would guess Andy or John.

I see Maria as being one who would select avant-garde designs. Her clothes are very unusual and not what most women would wear. And I think the woman are goig to lose once again.

According to yahoo's tv listings

Episode #207.
Teams face a corporate restructuring that levels the playing field during a task that takes the battle to the parks and streets.

Maybe I am reading too much into this but Im thinking that one team goes into this restructuring with the numbers advantage. Being that the men are the only one who could possible fit the bill I'm almost positive that the women lose again this week. Forcing Donald to switch the teams due to the 7-5 mens' advantage over the women.

I think you're right. Key words, "level the playing field". This could just be an indication of eliminating the "men vs. women" format. Tune in tomorrow...

"Pamela's Move to Apex..."
Posted by Pepito on 10-12-04 at 03:04 PM
So, do you that Pamela's involuntary move to Apex for the last challenge was calculated by Donald so that there would be no women on the Mosaic team when the "Design a High Fashion Woman's Outfit" challenge came about?

He really had to have known that moved Pamela would create this position. Why? It's seems unfair to the men to be put into challenge, but they will win anyway... Perhaps the next challenge will involve the teams playing tackle football...
