"Episode #5 general discussion thread."

As we return to America's least-watched night of television... (Censored), I was flipping back to Survivor every few seconds to see if the jury was still trotting out endless amounts of 'Why is it you up there and not me? You have to pay for that!' Which they were. There are areas where Survivor doesn't let you down.

But this, at least until all the contestants are revealed as past first boots, remains My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss -- so let's talk about the tiny portions we saw!

#1. If Michael still has suspicions about Bookend #2, we can safely rate him as around a 9 on the Mohs scale. Clearly one of the denser materials on the planet. Two more weeks without 'getting it' and we'll have to see if he can scratch a diamond. Or Excalibur, if it's still available.

#2. 'All money collected during the show in the form of lost bets will not be returned.' At least David doesn't have to worry about someone calling him their girlfriend in the middle of a corporate buyout, right? Well -- he didn't up until now. After this episode, all he has to worry about is whether anyone will ever use his name again. Right, girlfriend?

#3. So N. Paul Todd is a man's man, because he can talk about the female contestants with the guys. Please remember to have your billionaires spayed or neutered.

#4. At last, the paintball episode! It was fun just to see DAWs being shot at -- if they did this on any other show, 29.8 share -- and the briefcase timidly peeking over the top of the limo had a certain appeal, but the sequence as a whole seemed to lack something essential. Fatalities, maybe?

#5. 'Thank you. I appreciate that.'

I forgot that it was on last night.

If a reality show can't keep me interested enough to remember that it is on, then it must be bad.

Ah, the paintball scene-FINALLY! That was some good stuff. They were so intense & serious. These people kill me! That one girl took a direct shot in the butt. Ouch! I laughed & laughed. For some reason, I think if shakes were to create a reality show, this would be it.

Shakes would be shooting at us.

I watched this after Survivor lastnight. And I laughed quite a bit at this episode. The men felt left out when Paul didn't turn up to golf with them. So this week he spent his time bonding with them.

I loved the paintball challenge. I have often wanted to do this to DAWs. So it was satisfying.

But I think they have dragged out "Who is the Boss?" too long. It's time to let us in on the joke.

This was excellent, especially when the contestants gave it right back to N. Paul Todd at the end of the show. It seemed they finally found a way to let out their frustrations with how ridiculous this whole thing is. Seems the natives are getting restless. Fox may have to find a way to settle everyone down or risk a mass walk-out. I'm anxious to see what they will do.
