Laura was pretty nice to the guys this week, even Robert!!! I think she's figured out that her meanness is affecting the votes so she pulled back. But don't be fooled people, she's still a major biaatch. Keep voting for Robert to piss her off.

You Robert fans are so fickle. Vote for Robert because Laura is mean! Vote for Robert because Laura was nice even though she didn't mean it! Vote for Robert because it's an even numbered day. <air wanks> Whatever! LOL!

I like Laura. I think that she makes the show interesting and I have agreed with a lot of her comments about the men.

I was surprised to see Laura being fairly nice last night. You might be right about her pulling back because of the votes Robert is getting. I was thinking it was because everyone is now afraid Robert might go nuts if she keeps up with the insults. He seemed really distressed last night. Did you see his face when he met her for the date? So serious and severe.

I think she must have felt a little sorry for him, and I think she knows if she keeps insulting him, people will keep voting for him. To me it looks like he doesn't really want to be there.

I totally agree that he doesn't seem like he wants to be there. I was glad he and Lisa cleared the air, but he knows that he and Lisa are only going to be friends at best, and I think it's cruel to keep him in the game and make him face more and more every week....he looked like he was about to lose it in the video from the guys house.

Robert has takin a real public bashing. It's gotta be tough on him. Really he hasn't done anything real bad. he's made a couple mistakes but does he deserve the bashing he's gotten. I really don't think so.

Laura finally saw that the mean words she has said about Robert really effected him. So she toned it down. I bet the producers assured Lisa and her friends that Robert aint going to win so take it easy on him and they did.

Call me silly, but I really like to root for the underdog. I think as long as Robert remains in the game, he should be given a fair chance. It's possible that they could have a break through and make a connection. When it comes to love, it's often the last person you'd expect who winds up winning your heart. Look at another Austrian, Arnold. Who'd have thought that he and Maria Shriver would have been a great match? They're as different as night and day. So maybe it could happen here too. After all, didn't Lisa come on this show to find a guy who was different from what she has dated before? I have a feeling that Hank, Evan, and Dom are typical of the guys she is usually attracted to and the relationships don't work out. So maybe she really needs to give someone like Robert another look.

I usually root for the underdog also. However, Robert has been given chances by Lisa. She's been nice to him. Yes, he has been getting a beating from the two harpies but I think he deserves it. I am glad things calmed down last night though. I get so embarrassed for Robert.

Not in a million years would Robert and Lisa make a connection. All you have to do is look at her when she is on a date with him. The girl doesn't want to be there!!! As for people being nice to him last night...I think the girls just feel sorry for him now and hope being nice to him instead of bitchy gets him thrown off the show.

I'm sure Laura and Lisa aren't living in a vacuum. They must have gone to various boards and saw why people were voting for Robert. So they changed their startegy accordingly this week.

The "Simon tactic" from American Idol too. I don't think it will work with Cupid viewers though.

Renda is still the easy out next week.

I see a couple of things happening here.

I think Robert was reprising typical good moves from a show like Blind Date. In that light, he is very funny and did a good job of being interesting for the camera. Then suddenly he's being castigated all over the media, including the internet, as a weirdo-creepy-sick degenerate. He's just doing improv acting, and people are personally acting him! I think he's in shock and trying to figure out how to get his self-image back.

As far as the hit women Laura and Kimberly go, I agree with others who have said that they are trying to adjust their criticism to shape the vote, while still keeping their image as nasty bitches going--because that dynamic is what drives the show.

(Others may have said similar things above. I am late coming to the discussion today and I'm posting before I read everything--sorry.)

If Laura thought she was making America vote for Robert because she was making him the underdog, does that mean everyone voted for Dom this week, since she said HE should be gone?
