CANADIANS -- does this effect the GLobal airings as well?

Well, apparently at least not on WB... from the Variety report:

No Boundaries," a Ford-sponsored reality series, had its last broadcast Sunday night; the comedy "Rock Star," which was being double-pumped on Thursday nights, died after last week's telecasts.

Personally, I don't get how they were "able" to cancel it -- I thought Ford was paying for the entire production in return for the "advertising" of the show as well as 8 30 second spots per episode. ...so if Ford's 30 minute infommericial doesn't air, does WB now have to reimburse Ford for the production costs?

...it would have seemed cheaper to just leave the thing airing, honestly, what do they think they are going to be able to replace it with that is going to do any better, no one watches The WB on early Sunday evenings.

Maybe Ford pulled out, after seeing how bad the ratings were?

They did air Episode 6 in Canada tonight.

Spoiler:

Matt was the leader. They had to climb way up a mountain. Jill being the oldest had trouble but made it. Then Matt booted her. But they could have used her later. The challenge was herding cattle on horseback and Jill has riden all her life. They did really badly and mentioned that they probably would have done better if Jill was still there. Then Kelly was voted as the next leader. Next week they have to mountain bike.

Wow,

That's a bit of a surprise. I mean, it's not the most fantastic show out there, but I expected them to at least follow it through, especially because of the Ford advertising that has been mentioned.

Global in Canada is airing an episode tonight...

Weird.

I never did find a web site for this show. Did anyone else, and if so, please post it. I'd be interested to see if anything is mentioned on it.

Yes there was a website for this show. I remember seeing it before the show ever aired. But I don't remember the web address. I wonder if the episode will be aired in Canada tonight? I'll have to check and see tonight if it really does air. Hopefully they will continue to show them so we at least find out who wins. I just enjoyed the scenery.

Interestingly their messageboard now seems to be down. ...I don't know how long it's been down, but it was up last week when I posted a link to it in another topic.

Take a look at the No Boundaries Website that Webby posted. It now says that they are dumping the WB and are in the process of finding a new home. They will announce the next episode's (apparently episode #5) air date as soon as it has been finalized.

>they are dumping the WB

...sure they did, just like I dumped Julia Roberts

I wouldn't expect much -- maybe the Discovery or Travel Channels, or maybe The Outdoor Life Channel.

They wouldn't *gasp* MISLEAD us would they? *grin*

I just want to see who wins the darn thing . . . or if the game is even winnable.

And, hey, I like the Discovery Channel. Puts me to sleep every night . . . priceless.
