“Given that it is Game Changers, we’re going to change the game constantly. So when it comes to idols, there will be no consistency,” says the host. “Usually there’s a theme. You have to find them in a certain way or work a certain amount of effort to get it. Not this time. One might drop in your lap, one might be at Tribal, one might be at the bottom of the well, one might be at a challenge. It depends how often idols get played for how far down the list we’ll get. Because if idols are held until the end, then we won’t see anything and we’ll use them next year. But if things go well and people start playing their idols — which I think will happen — it could be a really fun and crazy adventure to watch them and what they have to do to get them.”

Any ideas why Jeff didn't mention his presence this season during last season's reunion? I think there are two possibilities: Either he's voted out early and they didn't bother mentioning him or he's in the Finale and they wanted to keep it secret.

Hard to know why production promoted these 4 Men and 4 Women:

4 Men: Ozzy, Tai, Caleb, Tony
4 Women: Sandra, Ciera, Cirie, Michaela

Only Ozzy lives in local area and of course Michaela was there for the S33 Finale. They had to fly in the rest of them.

So maybe they just wanted a balanced number of Men and Women and they had already picked those 4 Returning Men and one of the 4 Returning Woman couldn't make it so they replaced her with Michaela?

If that's what you think he was doing, then you clearly have no idea what goes on in being part of a team and a competition.

What I do have is a very good idea what goes on when someone is trying to take a cheap shot...

As for being part of a team and in a competition, I know very well that when there is nothing left worth playing for then the starting players take the bench and they let in the rookies and the subs.

Once Chan Lo had won the kitchen set, the competition became meaningless. It was like trying to go for a field goal when the game is 40-0 late in the 4th quarter. Besides, Caleb had Nick standing right there, ready to take over. Doing your job and not trying to do everyone else's is also a key point in being part of a team.

Furthermore, in Survivor's peculiar type of competition, the concept of team is a little different. Had Caleb finished the challenge without problem then all he'd have accomplished was paint a bigger target on his back.
