"1st Board of Review- NEXT WEEK"

Posted by BienAimee81 on 10-21-05 at 12:13 PM
In today's preview for next week, they show the first board of review and Rhonda says that none of the women may be able to graduate. I just want to know, WHAT THE HECK ARE THE WOMEN DOING WRONG? I know that there are some times when Jill is stubborn or TJ takes too much, but did I miss something?

I think it's just more of the manipulative editing they have been doing. The preview is probably taking Rhonda's comment out of context and dramatizing it to get the viewers worked up and bump the ratings. They have been doing that A LOT this season and I for one am getting sick of it.

I thought the same thing. The last 2 seasons, I watched the previews, couldn't wait to see the previews for the next day or week... now I do not even pay attention to them. They are overly dramatizing the previews, then when the show airs, They were talking about something totally different than what they made it seem. I am sooooo over the previews!

In my part of the world the previews get all mixed up and they show a teaser for something that doesnt' happen on the show until several eps. later!

I've been in media for a long time so I have seen the tricks. Anyway, they are teasing shows way ahead, making us think it will happen the next day, because they want to pick out the most sensational things and make sure we will stick around and watch for it, even though it may be a week away. Nice huh? And yet I am still watching LOL

You're probably right and I hate to see this happen...they are taking away from the integrity of this powerful show...there's no need for it either..true followers are going to tune in anyway...there's no need to tantalize us, we watch regardless...they should read these boards sometimes....even when we disagree with there presentation, we continue to watch. I find this tactic deplorable. (JMHO)

They always have her say stuff like that. It's supposed to build suspense. You're just too nice to see through it.

Yeah, thats the one part of the "show" that I don't like. I think it's the "TV" part. It makes it more suspenseful, kinda like who will get kicked off next! I would much rather it be, that if the person gets a bad grade or does something way wrong, that leaving the show is brought up, but it is a tv reality show.

The last two seasons have been strange I can't figure if it is adding more of a "Therapy" approach with Dr. Stan. Sometimes I think Iyanla is contradicting herself. Like with the life raft, her overview was the women didn't work together, then she jumped down Lisa's throat because Lisa was trying to work as a team. She did the same thing with Allison's cancer and shame. Made it sound like Allison was the first Cancer Patient to blame herself. This society is always telling people they create cancer and if they just excercised kept, didn't stress out, took vitamins and did everything perfect the cancer wouldn't get a foothold. Finally, sometimes I wonder if it isn't Allison, she really hates when people show emotion, she tries to fix every situation and if she can't she wants the person to leave the house. What is that!

I was diagnosis with breast cancer about 19 months ago and
for the longest time and even today I say I should of done
I could of done would it have been different. If I would
have been diagnosis earlier would it have been so bad I'm
stage 4 because it's in my bone well it is and there's
nothing I can do about it except to try to take good care
of myself and to keep myself health like I have been doing.
And yes I do excercise twice a week and I love it. You can
take all the medicine in the world but if the cancer is
going to come back it's going to come back the best she
can do is take care of her self and continue to see her
doctor so that if anything comes up the doctor can catch
it early enough to hopefully cure it. I'm happy to say I
can get around all by myself and that I don't need help
caring for myself either. And for the matter of showing
emotion maybe she doesn't want the housemates to feel sorry
for her I know for me I feel sorry for myself enough.
