Is it too soon to say I'm missing the band and their horrible, terrible, no good renditions of pop songs?

Oh, way too soon, sorry.

Here we go!

LAST EDITED ON 09-30-13 AT 08:04 PM (EST)

Bill Nye thinks he tore a quad.

Keshawn went home, and now it is Hollywood Night. Slips, Slaps and Drama. One more star kicked out of tinsel town...

....FOREVER!

Promise?

Intro dance to IT'S OH SO QUIET - BJORK

Mark and Peta choreographed that.

Station cut out for 6 minutes. I missed the entire intro! Was it any good?

It was OK. Pros dancing around, stars paying poker.

"Leah and Tony"
Posted by Snidget on 09-30-13 at 08:11 PM
Adele - Skyfall.

Dancing the Rumba.

Rollin' around on the floor at the end, had an assist from the band Tom said, I think.

Len. Love the chemistry, passion, drama, tad more fluidity in your arms.

Bruno. You got the part you devilish seductress. You gave sexy face. So good when see people growing and playing different parts and hitting it. Continuation of movement in the arms.

Carrie Ann. Disgree with the arms. Very cool passion everything went all the way out. Only had trouble on the double chenny out.

Tom. Leah you focus on what you do wrong. Was it more right than wrong.

Scores 8 - 8 - 8 - 24

Well, that was better for Leah. Her dress wasn't hideous for a change, and she improved on the floor.

The music, however... Ack. That was pretty bad.

Agree. Music was horrendous, off-key.

"Corbin and Karina"
Posted by Snidget on 09-30-13 at 08:21 PM
But first. Injury report. Brant sprained something in his foot, trained most of the week in a boot.

Bill Nye back stage and Tyne tweaked her knee, too.

Dancing the Quick Step, fastest ever on the show.

Diga Diga Do

Bruno, one for the record books, I'm dizzy, maintaining the synchronicity at that speed almost impossible. BUt you did it, impressive.

Carrie Ann. Footwork nailed, Tough race to the finish, started with great form, the hip hop slips in.

Len. Bit Hectic. Speed In, Style out. Admire the fast, need a balance, lost a bit of your frame, it was a fabulous number.

9 - 8 - 9 - 26

So does that mean Science Guy is officially out.

Am I the only one who thinks Korben Dallas when they announce Corbin? Yeah, I thought so.

I liked that a lot! Costuming was lovely. It seemed like the hold could have been a little tighter in places, but for week 3? That was impressive!

Finally, Dear Camera Person: It's a Quick Step. Show us the bloody footwork!

"Elizabeth and Val"
Posted by Snidget on 09-30-13 at 08:31 PM
Dancing the Fox Trot.

Come Fly with Me.

Carrie Ann. Such a thrill, new heights, the demure and sexy prowess. Boo boo in the middle, everything else was flawless.

Len. That was chicken soup to the eyes. Keep busy you are a contender.

Bruno. Flying first class all the way. The dreamliner hits some air pockets.

Talking over each other.

Brilliant dancer says Bruno, wonderful.

8 - 9 - 8 - 25

I don't find Elizabeth very likable, and that affects my impression of her dancing. I think that was pretty good, and the styling was great, but I didn't love it.

"RE: Elizabeth and Val"
Posted by JessicaRN on 10-01-13 at 01:11 AM
I don't like her either and I don't even know why. She has really buggy eyes too!

"Brant and Peta"
Posted by Snidget on 09-30-13 at 08:44 PM
Brant hurt his foot, lost his phone, and gave his dance shoes to the guy robbing him at gun point, and now he has to do the Quick Step.

Oh there is the awful versions. Crazy in Love to a 20's Jazz remix beat.

Len. No stress express, Speed and Control. Dropped a shoulder on occasion. Painless to watch.

Bruno. Perfect matinee idol. Played the part so well. Minor drop of frame.

Carrie Ann. NPH better watch his back. Not who I thought you were. Incredible dancer. Can't believe you were hurt.

9 - 9 - 9 - 27

"RE: Brant and Peta"
Posted by udg on 09-30-13 at 09:07 PM
A little slower than Corbin & Karina's, but the hold was almost always tighter. I think the technique was probably better, even though it didn't look as impressive.

"RE: Brant and Peta"
Posted by JessicaRN on 10-01-13 at 01:12 AM
Geez, held up at gun point and that seemed like that was the least of the focus. That would have been a big deal to me!

"Valerie and Tristan"
Posted by Snidget on 09-30-13 at 08:52 PM
Dancing the Cha Cha Cha.

Grace Kelly dancing with Freddie Mercury??!!?!?!?!!!!!???????

Grace Kelly - Mika

Oh this is painful.

Bruno. Got the look right. But looked like they never met before tonight. Went wrong so many times. Lot of mistakes, you look great.

Carrie Ann. Lost your way. When you shine you don't give up that is the sign of a star. Bring grace to what was left of the routine.

Len. Like flying coach, a bit uncomfortable but you landed safely. Tristan the way you take care of your partners.

6 - 5 - 5 - 16

"RE: Valerie and Tristan"
Posted by udg on 09-30-13 at 09:12 PM
That was uncomfortable to watch.

I wonder if she has some brain function issues going on. I am getting over a case of bacterial meningitis and I have a hard time being able to remember a series of things, like words and make them come out of my mouth. For her to try to remember choreography, the performing piece, with age, a brain disease and possibly medication effects, might be catching up with her.

I thought it was uncomfortable also.

"Bill Engvall and Emma"
Posted by Snidget on 09-30-13 at 09:02 PM
Paso Doble. He is the Lone Ranger, dancing to the Lone Ranger Theme, otherwise known as the William Tell Overture.

Tom: Hi Ho Engvall.

Carrie Ann. You nailed the Paso. You must have rehearsed the poop out of that.

Len. I loved the lone ranger, if you had come out on Silver you would have gotten a 10. Leading the spins. That was your best dance.

Bruno. So much attack. Like being in an opera house.

8 - 8 - 8 - 24

Bill always impresses me. I wish he'd kept his shoulders down. I think 3x8 was about right.

"Amber and Derek"
Posted by Snidget on 09-30-13 at 09:12 PM
STOP YAWNING!!!!! Her week was crazy.

Charleston to a song from the Great Gadsby. She Shot Derek, too bad it isn't for realz.

It was cute, but not sure how the judges will like it.

Len. Glitz and Glamour something the swivel in your feet.

Bruno. Ability to create excitement and sell it. Much sharper in the scissors.

Carrie Ann. Upper body can bang, but your botttom half is not as great. Not quite the right angles.

Not much Glee from the Glee Row.

8 - 8 - 8 - 24

HipHop Charleston? Meh.

"Jack and Cheryl"
Posted by Snidget on 09-30-13 at 09:18 PM
Cha Cha To Hollywood Swinging.

70s pimp and his #####.

Nearly overcooked the slide down the stairs.

Bruno. It was chickijack. Very ambitious, you have got to watch your hip action.

Carrie Ann. It was good. Taking too big steps. More of a jazz routine. Watch the arm that is not in hold.

Len. Love your commitment. However, got to get some hip action going. Keep coming out and giving it all you got.

7 - 7 - 8 - 22

"Christina and Mark"
Posted by Snidget on 09-30-13 at 09:29 PM
Charleston, Mark as Clown.

To Let Me Drown.

Carrie Ann. Incredible. Had this dynamic, range of emotion, bring character's to life, full body performance.

Len. Dance mirrored the music. Little bit of Lindy Hop. Charleston back, like more swiveling action.

Bruno. So inventive. Stylistic details, visually inspiring, performed better than you ever have.

9 - 8 - 9 - 26

"RE: Christina and Mark"
Posted by udg on 09-30-13 at 09:43 PM
I wasn't as impressed as the judges were.

"Snooki and Sasha"
Posted by Snidget on 09-30-13 at 09:40 PM
Lot of medical treatment on Bill Nye, platlet rich plasma injections in the tendon.

Dancing the Quick Step.

Len. First ballroom dance you came out and surprised me.

Bruno. On Fire. Admire your commitment to hard work.

Carrie Ann.. Can be the land of broken dreams you are a super star. You deserve a wok, star in the walk of fame.

9 - 8 - 8 - 25

"RE: Snooki and Sasha"

The footwork wasn't bad. Hold could have been tighter.

She is really cute, and I really didn't want to like her.

"Bill Nye and Tyne"
Posted by Snidget on 09-30-13 at 09:50 PM
Jazz routine to Daft Punk with a leg imobilizer?

Given the restraints not bad, but not much different than what he could do on his own.

Bruno. Didn't see any Jazz, but entertaining.

Carrie Ann. Incredible spirit, didn't give up. Impressed, would like to see more content when your leg is feeling better.

Len. Tyne, did a great job putting that together. Takes guts and bravery to dance with that injury.

6 - 5 - 5 - 16

"RE: Bill Nye and Tyne"
Posted by udg on 09-30-13 at 09:51 PM
It was still less painful to watch than Valerie.

"Elimination"
Posted by Snidget on 09-30-13 at 09:59 PM
Christina and Mark, Brant and Peta, Bill and Tyne, you are all in jeopardy.

The rest of you will be coming back, head on backstage.

Bill tries to say stop, or something, but Tom just moved on.

But the next couple safe is Brant and Peta.

Not necessarily the bottom two.

On this third week the couple leaving is...

...
.......
....

Bill and Tyne.

How do you feel about leaving us.

People who are so good and working so hard, will not be able to keep up. Breaks his heart that Tyne will be out.

Bill says thanks to his fans for keeping him in, it has been cool.

"RE: Elimination"
Posted by udg on 09-30-13 at 10:03 PM
It had to happen. There's no way Bill could continue with his injury. However, I'd still rather watch another week of peg-leg-Bill than another week of what's-my-move-Valerie.

"RE: Elimination"
Posted by Round Robin on 10-01-13 at 02:19 AM
Valerie's healthy enough that she can continue, at least for now. Bill obviously is not, so it's just as well that he was the one axed this time.

Agreed. Valerie doesn't have a torn tendon in her knee! Bill Nye does, so it was just as well he got the boot. Now he can have surgery and let his leg heal.

"RE: Elimination"
Posted by Round Robin on 10-02-13 at 02:03 AM
Valerie will get the ax soon anyway since she's one of the worst dancers still in the competition. I doubt like hell she lasts long enough for her health to even become a factor.
