Keep in mind; Filming Dates for S33: March 27th - May 14th

In searching through most of the survivors social media outlets, a couple of things appeared.
The following is a brief show of survivors returning to social life via images posted shortly after returning to the states.

Where it appears that Adam made an instagram post on 'Day 15' of filming for S33. reddit Thread
The reason appears to be regarding a family emergency and suggests an even earlier exit from the game in order to not only make the post but to allow time to develop some old film and re-capture the moment.
And the Susie Klein Memorial Fund started on behalf of his mother.

Since the end of Episode 10b was on Day 30 obviously Adam did not make that Instagram post on Day 15 of Filming.

Day 30 = May 03, 2016 (Jessica Rocked Out)
Day 31 = May 04, 2016 Family Visit
...
Day 39 = May 12, 2016 Final Tribal Council

Day 40 = May 13, 2016 Departure. Contestants fly back to the U.S..
Day 41 = May 14, 2016 Contestants arrive back home

According to Susie Klein Memorial Fund Susie Klein (Adam's mother) passed away on May 14, 2016 (Day 41) when the Survivors would have arrived back home.

Family visit is TEN days before Adam's mother passes away. Sure seems likely that his brother's update on their mom's condition might convince Adam to quit the game and that Adam might use his Advantage to steal a visit from his brother to get the full details and make his decision.

I was going to post this in response to S33 Episode 11 Vidcap thread about the family visit but thought this might be considered somewhat of a source spoiler.

Adam quitting to be with his mom would explain why there are still 9 players in the game with only 3 episodes left:

11/30 Final 9 -> Final 8
12/07 Final 8 -> Final 7
12/14 Finale starts with Final 7?!
That would be the most players ever to start the Finale!

Seems more likely:

11/30 Final 9 -> (Family Visit/Adam Quits) -> Final 7
12/07 Final 7 -> Final 6
12/14 Finale starts with Final 6
