LAST EDITED ON 09-23-13 AT 12:51 PM (EST)

Second week of judging, first week of sending people home. Let us see if DWTS learned from SYTYCD and if they will have to change things because twitter eruptions are not as good for these shows as a glitter eruption.

I will not be available to Seg-Cap/Host but I'll do an alphabetical listing of the couples to organize the thread for anyone that wants to comment before I get a chance to see it for myself.

ETA, found some spoilers for the dances, see hidden text in this post Spoiler link
Bill Nye and Tyne Stecklein - Paso Doble
Amber Riley and Derek Hough - Jive
Keyshawn Johnson and Sharna Burgess - Samba
Bill Engvall and Emma Slater - Jive
Elizabeth Berkley and Val Chmerkovskiy - Samba

Again with the motorboating? WTF?

I like him. He'll probably go home next week, but I don't think that he should. I like his attitude about it and he really is trying. He is not what I expected.

I totally agree. Seems like a nice guy, and he seems to be putting in the effort. But, stuck with a new pro doesn't bode well.

Bad music, but still most improved from last week!

I notice Len toned down his comments a bit. Probably didn't realize Bill's cult following.

Threats to send his "stuff" back to the stars whence it came? LOL

Meh, whatever.

Is it possible to be too good looking, because these two are. He is a decent dancer too, but why can't I remember him the minute he is done.

She is a bit over the top too, although so far this season, she hasn't appeared nearly naked, the way she usually does.

I would NOT kick Peta out of bed for eating crackers. That woman is gorgeous!

He started out with a solo! All in.

I want to hate this guy cuz he's a ringer. But, if he hadn't been the ringer, I'd be shouting right now. That was good.

That was good. He is a ringer and slightly obnoxious, but one of the best.

Wasn't he in some Broadway musical also? I'll have to look that up, but definitely is a dancer.

Just looked it up. He was in both Godspell and In the Heights on Broadway, so he definitely is a dancer, and not just from High School Musical.

"Christina and Mark"
Posted by Snidget on 09-23-13 at 12:37 PM
well mostly alphabetical.

"RE: Christina and Mark"
Posted by Sagebrush Dan on 09-24-13 at 01:07 AM
I didn't like this as much as the judges did. Oh well.

"RE: Christina and Mark"
Posted by JessicaRN on 09-24-13 at 01:47 AM
Did you notice every time the camera panned the cast, Mark was fixing his hair?

I haven't watched the Voice yet tonight. Is she still doing that also?

"Elizabeth and Val"

Did I miss this? I don't remember this one.

"RE: Elizabeth and Val"

They went first. She's boring, so I don't remember much about it now.

I'm rooting for this guy. I thought he showed more grace and flair last week.

"RE: Jack and Cheryl"

I like him so much, and it is not just because of his MS challenge. He was so sweet and self-deprecating. He reminds me a bit of Rob Kardashian.

Sharon and Ozzy raised kids that seem like they have turned into very decent adults.

Did he really just MOTORBOAT in the middle of that? I don't even have words.

"RE: Keyshawn and Sharna"
Posted by Sagebrush Dan on 09-24-13 at 00:23 AM
This may be the first time a football player goes home first. The conversation was like a goodbye; it was like even he knew he was going.

"RE: Keyshawn and Sharna"
Posted by JessicaRN on 09-24-13 at 01:50 AM
He is disappointingly bad.

"RE: Keyshawn and Sharna"
Posted by Round Robin on 09-24-13 at 04:04 AM
Never saw any ex-jock this bad on this show. Dude was a class act in what he said about Sharna after he got the ax.

"RE: Keyshawn and Sharna"
Posted by Estee on 09-24-13 at 01:01 PM
I almost never get to do this, so...

"This can't be. The football player NEVER gets booted first, and I can't believe they'll allow it now. Especially since this football player works for ESPN, which the Mouse also owns. But who will TPTB eff over so Keyshawn can be saved?"

Apparently despite all previous evidence and my personal taste, Meshawn was very effable.

"Leah and Tony"

"RE: Leah and Tony"
Posted by udg on 09-23-13 at 09:38 PM
Well, that dress was better than last week's mostly because it was impossible to get worse. If the ruffles had started a little higher, it would have been more flattering, and it could have been cut a little shorter, as well. Poor Tony's costume didn't fit him, either.

As for the dance, not bad.

"RE: Leah and Tony"

I thought her comment on Scientology wanting her to fail was pretty interesting. She seems just a bit fragile or something. I'm guessing she hasn't received any words of wisdom from Kirstie Alley!

Not as good this week. More attitudinal, too.

I want to hate her, but she did make me laugh when she kept saying that she did the "face." She's pretty cute.

"RE: Valerie and Tristan"

Forget about her cancer, I'm impressed she can do this in her 70s! Wobbly at first, but maturely spirited.

"RE: Valerie and Tristan"
Posted by Round Robin on 09-24-13 at 04:10 AM
Will go soon, but she's much better than most people that old they've had on there. And she's one of the biggest actual "stars" they've ever had. Not bad looking for 74 & has a great attitude.

Motorboat & Sharna! Hurrah!

Yes! I was hoping they'd be first!

Right couple going home.
