Kellie's freestyle was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen on DWTS or SYTYCD, and Drew and Cheryl's freestyle has always been my benchmark for pure entertainment.

(Hi, Snidg, I've been away too long.}

I've been cap'n'd

They manage to pull off a move that seems to defy the laws of physics and gravity. How did they do that! Still amazing the second time around.

Yep, something in the cantilevering works even though it really looks like there is no way it can.

The couple who will face the cruelest cut, the one with the most fans that vote from abc.com as it went down during the east coast vote so none of those votes will be counted...

And in fourth place...

Ali and Mark.

*sigh*

Aly just got robbed. She exits before Jacoby? That's nuts.

"RE: First Results"
Posted by kathliam on 05-21-13 at 09:19 PM
I'm really surprised. Although I was unimpressed with her freestyle --- and dislike Mark on so many levels --- I thought her performance last night was heads and shoulders above Jacoby.

(It's been so long since I've been here, I forgot to take off my sigpic. Tee Hee!)

Who Won the World - Girls!

With the three female finalists.

Aly did not look happy, that is hard to go do that right after a disappointment like that.

"RE: Female Pros"
Posted by Ants on 05-21-13 at 09:35 PM
They must've been sure Jacoby was going to be the first to go.

"RE: Female Pros"
Posted by Round Robin on 05-22-13 at 09:35 AM
Jacoby SHOULD have been the first one to go tonight. The viewer voters this year were a bunch of richard craniums as usual.

"RE: Female Pros"
Posted by Belle Book on 05-22-13 at 11:42 AM
Well, they weren't Richard Craniums until the finale. After all, the top 4 deserved to be in the finale -- I think even Andy D1ck would agree with that!

But when it came to the finale, yeah, the viewers were Richard Craniums! That said, they were wise enough not to let Jacoby get past third place.

Oh. My. Heavens. I had forgotten just how bad some of the early dancers were.

Singing, not dancing, thank goodness.

Girl can sing, no doubt.

Tony and Peta (?) dancing.

Yep, Peta. Glad Tony didn't have to dance with her.

Left early because of injury. Gets to dance tonight. And tonight Tristan is not able to dance in the finale.

Henri filling in for Tristan.

Viennese Waltz.

Kristi Yamagucci joins in with I think one of the other troupe guys.

"RE: Dorothy and Tristan"

Kristi danced with Sasha Farber. They've been highlighting him all season. He must be moving up, possibly to pro dancer soon.

"RE: Dorothy and Tristan"
Posted by Belle Book on 05-22-13 at 11:51 AM
Loved seeing Kristi dance again. She is my favorite winner, although Shawn Johnson is a close second.

I'm glad Dorothy got the chance to dance with a winner who inspired her to try dancing, even if Dorothy's chances were cut short by that stupid injury!

What their Mad Hatter routine lacked in technique, it made up in just plain fun. Still one of my favorite routines this year.

He certainly knows how to bring the entertainment if he can't bring the technique.

Insta dance. Salsa.

Is it me or did he lose steam near the end. That jump over was scary.

Len. Full of fun. Naturalness about you. Big Easy. Expect the unexpected with you. Breath of fresh air.

Bruno. Spice of life. And set got an eyeful could watch you any time.

Carrie. Rough start, but it is where you finish. You are a champion.

Scores after the break.

10 - 10 - 10 - 30 Really??

"RE: Jacoby and Karina"
Posted by kathliam on 05-21-13 at 10:29 PM
I know it's the final night and the judge's scores don't mean anything, but, really? Three 10's for that? They better have supersized paddles for Kellie and Zendaya.

"Kellie and Derek"
Posted by Snidget on 05-21-13 at 10:33 PM
Instajive.

And Derek has to show boat.

If they don't give that 10's after Jacoby's mess I will shoot my TV.

Bruno. Great Balls of Fire. You remind me of Julianne Hough and that is a completment. Weird and unbelievably wonderful.

Carrie Ann. Like the wonder twins I love watching you.

Len. You dancing is always polish, the Bees Knees other britishism and you are awesome. Did he imply she was a Boil?

10 - 10 - 10 - 30

"Zendaya and Val"
Posted by Snidget on 05-21-13 at 10:42 PM
Instajive.

Again, better get 10's.

Can we have Val and Kellie win the trophy?

Carrie Ann. Going to be so sad not to watch you dance. You made every dance special. It has been a joy.

Len. For 16 you dance with such maturity, you put the character and personality come out. The twinkly bits I love to see. You are going to fly away.

Bruno. For someone so young you have pitch perfect performance. Twinkle twinkle little star you will go very far.

10 - 10 - 10 - 30

"RE: Zendaya and Val"
Posted by kathliam on 05-21-13 at 10:46 PM
She's a good dancer, I'll give her that, but there's something, I don't know, gangly about her dancing. Or is that just my prejudice against any dancer foisted upon us from the legion of Disney kids?

"RE: Zendaya and Val"
Posted by Snidget on 05-21-13 at 10:49 PM
She's in that limbs seem too long for her body stage, so she is a bit like a baby giraffe when she dances.

I'm so happy she won. She was spectacular from the first dance. I know a lot of people don't like Derek, but he is one of those choreographers who really knows how to bring out his partner's strengths.

Congratulations Kellie!!

Peace Out.

"RE: Final Results"
Posted by Belle Book on 05-22-13 at 11:47 AM
Yeah. I'm not one of those who doesn't like Derek but even if I was, he's an excellent choreographer and the freestyle he choreographed for him and Kellie to dance brought the house down, so Kellie deserved the win.

Actually, I would have been happy if Zendaya won -- she was excellent too! I would have been thrilled if Aly won -- I voted for only her in the finale and she was my first favorite, with Zendaya being my second one after Dorothy had to withdraw -- but I think I knew that Aly winning just wasn't going to happen.

Wow, this is an awesome spring for North Carolina folks on reality shows. We had Bates and Anthony take The Amazing Race, and now we have Kellie. Woohoo!!!

Posted by JessicaRN on 05-21-13 at 11:56 PM
All of the finalists were good, but Kelli really had this right from the beginning.

Now it is time to pair Derek and Mark up with someone like Wynonna.

Well, phooey. I was hopin' for the Disney kid. I thought she was brilliant.

"RE: Final Results"
Posted by Round Robin on 05-22-13 at 09:51 AM
The right couple won this time, which doesn't always happen on this show. Yeah, Zendaya's the Disney cutie and a great dancer and sis boom bah and all that rot. But when you add Kellie's sexy carcass to her super personality and throw a bunch of dancing ability in on top, there's no way she wasn't gonna win, even with one of the Unholy Three as her partner. But if Derek doesn't actually retire this time, it's about time they give him and Mark both partners who are ugly as sin and/or have 2 left feet. Hate seeing Derek win but loved his partner too much this time.
