"Backwards water?"

Hello everyone. I'm new here. I did a search on the word 'fountain' and found only one post. So my conscious is clear that I gave an effort to see if this has been brought up before.

I've noticed a couple of times, most notably in last nights episode, that they show the fountain outside the house and the water is flowing upwards into the fountain.

Is this one of those clues (ala. the Mole) that we're supposed to be picking up on to figure out the secret behind this whole show?

Well, I'm looking forward to hanging around with you guys for a while. I really like this show. It's cool seeing Lance post in that other thread. Hi Lance!

Hmm...

I don't think this is that kind of show seeing we're in on the joke there's no reason for hidden clues.

Let's say that the fountain IS a clue. What do you think it means? Why did you pic the fountain? They show the same couch in every episode, why couldn't THAT be a clue?? ;)

I agree with Danno..we're in on the joke. OR ARE WE????? There are many who think that somehow the joke is on us and while your post seems a bit ludicrous, I think we could still have some fun with it.

Why are they always clapping when they come out for the challenges. Is there someone behind them with an applause sign???

I believe, too, that the trick's going to be on us in the end. I just can't figure out how.

The reason I think the fountain might have more "hidden meaning" than a couch is that the water's going backwards.

It could be as simple as the producers using stock footage of the exterior of the house and instead of re-shooting the footage zooming into the scene they're just rewinding earlier footage zooming out. It's kinda cheap but this whole show has a slightly lower production value (except for the obvious amount spent on the bee costume) so maybe it's part of the whole thumb-on-the-nose at the industry.

I noticed that too just last night. It's either lazy editing or trivia for the home game.

I thought it was just a teick of the light when I saw it. I wonder if it really was moving backwards, or if they showed the fiml in reverse..

Well, I have Replay TV and I rewound it to watch it again just to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

And I'm relatively certain they created the effect by rewinding the tape and not changing the laws of physics. I'm certain that's not something they have the budget for.
