Assuming that they aren't going to all weather all the time for our minimal drizzle and the snow up in the mountains.

I think they said it was Country Week, but I seriously hope it was just my brain shorting out from the guilty pleasures.

"Country Night"

There is a group dance, and group drama.

Wait I vaguely remember these opening credits.

Looks like a troupe doing a dance, to some live performer.

"Giles and Peta"
Posted by Snidget on 10-29-12 at 08:10 PM
All of last weeks scores/votes carry over. Each star must dance a solo.

Recap (second time) of Carrie falling of her chair.

Dancing to Man, I feel like a woman. As a Cha Cha.

Been working a lot.

Performing after the break. Giles trying to cause more fainting with that outfit. *tosses pillows*

Patent leather pants? Man they are shiny.

Len. What I love is you give it 100% no half measures. Right on the edge but under control. A little loose in the legs.

Bruno. Wants to pay a visit to whatever country that was. Kinky, you are ready for center stage. Wasn't as clean with the footwork as it could have been.

Carrie. So creative and so sexy. So appropriate for both of you. Need to watch your hands. T-rex hands.

Giles sends support to the East Coast.

9 - 9 - 9.5 27.5/30 - 84/90

Meh, didn't do anything for me. Wasn't very sharp.

I think I might have liked that more if he was dressed differently. Seemed like he is trying too hard to be hot.

Agree. And the sad thing is, he really doesn't have to try at all.

I agree as well, although he's not really even on my hot radar.

Country Rumba. I think I'd rather be Jim Cantore's camera person.

Boyfriend was addicted to drugs. She couldn't help him.

No Idea what the song is. I wanna make you feel wanted?

Bruno. Sumptuous intriguing shape. Intricate and always had an emotional thread. Solo transition was seamless.

Carrie. Hug time. Len and Bruno hug too. I've been looking for vulnerability, the true beauty of dance.

Len. Like the music was quiet, balanced with full on. Solo had a lot of content.

10 - 10 - 10 30/30 88.5/90

Praying for some friends on the East Coast.

Ok, I know nothing about dance technique, but I did not care for that at all. That dress was so hideous and unflattering, it was a little hard to get past. And that song, whatever it was, was painful. Ugh. I like Sabrina, but that was just awful.

"RE: Sabirina and Louis"
Posted by zookeepertx on 10-29-12 at 08:34 PM
Okay, that was nice, but definitely not 10-worthy!

"RE: Sabirina and Louis"

I was thinking she must not have the votes if they gotta pump up her scores like that.

CMA's Thursday on ABC

Tango to Carrie Underwood.

"RE: Kelly and Val"
Posted by Snidget on 10-29-12 at 08:41 PM
Carrie Ann, nice comeback. You are still the most exciting competitor, huge shift.

Len. A little bit hectic. Some problems with your neck, came out and attacked.

Bruno. Engulfed with passion. You did it my darling. Back in the game. Watch the top line.

Val carries her up the stairs.

9 - 9 - 9 - 27/30 78.5 out of 90

"RE: Kelly and Val"

He scoops her up and carries her around like I do to my cat. I don't think I would like that very much.

"RE: Kelly and Val"
Posted by JessicaRN on 10-30-12 at 02:13 PM
Ha! You are so right. Their whole "partnership/relationship" seems like bad soap acting.

"RE: Kelly and Val"
Posted by zookeepertx on 10-29-12 at 08:43 PM
Wow, they really got screwed on the song choice! I love that song, but it ain't no tango music!
Looked a bit weak, although I do like them.

"RE: Kelly and Val"
Posted by samboohoo on 10-30-12 at 03:12 PM
Agree. I think they are smoking hot, but I thought this song was wrong, wrong, wrong for this dance, and it seemed forced to me.

Had problems with her neck. Even cleared she will have soreness and limited mobility.

"RE: Melissa and Tony"

That was really nice, but I find it distracting when a skirt is slung that low! I keep expecting it to slide off!

"RE: Melissa and Tony"
Posted by JessicaRN on 10-29-12 at 11:29 PM
That seems to be the permanent positioning of her clothes. I also find it distracting. Her body is amazing though.

This would be a good place to say that I'm not really enjoying the over done props. Stagecoaches? fake campfires?

"RE: Melissa and Tony"
Posted by samboohoo on 10-30-12 at 03:14 PM
I am just going to find people to agree with. She does have an amazing body. I love Tony, so I am happy that they are together. I would love for Tony to finally win.

Len. Stands and applauds. Great technique, got the how and the wow.

Bruno. Started with a solo that was exquisite. Love in the great outdoors.

Carrie Ann.Have the most beautiful lines. Not dancing out enough.

And arguing ensues.

Throwing curveballs. Next week will be fusion dances. Will find out when they pick them for each other tomorrow.

9.5 - 10 - 10 29.5/30 86/90

Tony sending evacuate vibes to his family out East.

Wow, this is really tough! My signal keeps getting messed up & I'm getting this jerky, pixelated picture with no sound. (I have a 24 yr old TV with rabbit ears for an antenna; yes, I DO live in the 19th century!) If I literally stand right beside the TV with my hand on the antenna, I can see most of the dance, but I haven't had supper yet & I wanna go in the kitchen & make some FOOD! Plus, it makes it difficult to type on here!

"Shawn and Derek"

Aggravated her knee injury that kept her out of the Olympics.

Afraid she has messed it up again. And hurt it fooling around with Sabrina.

She thinks my Tractor's Sexy. Cha Cha (I think)

Well, SUNNY BEACHES!! My signal went out completely during Shawn's rehearsal & didn't come back until the last 5 seconds or so!! I wouldn't have given a crap if I missed Gilles or Sabrina, but I had to miss Shawn! Dangit!!

Tom found the cow mesmerizing.

Bruno, you are the sexy one. What happened to you? Fusion of country step and Cha Cha. So synchronized. Incredible.

Carrie. Agree, the way you did fuse the styles. The way you articulate, you finish every move. The solo was a bit stiff. Still fantastic.

Len. Reasonable minds can differ. Choreography and movement great. Too much frippery. Next week for you.

9.5 - 8.5 - 10 28/30 84.5/90

"RE: Shawn and Derek"
Posted by samboohoo on 10-30-12 at 03:17 PM
I don't quite care for them. Perhaps because of Derek. I absolutely agree with Len that it's just too much, and they need to be more about the dance. We know she is a gymnist - we don't need to constantly be reminded of it.

I also think I will never see her as a grown up.

"RE: Kirsty and Max"

Carrie Ann. You are the queen of sexy. I'm floored, balanced energetically.

Len. Expressive arms, clean, clear, classy. Liked more hips. Trys to show hip action. Liked it but not that much.

Bruno. Gorgeousness of a real woman. Tell a story, solo spot on.

Tom cuts him off.

9.5 - 8.5 - 9.5 27.5/30 - 80/90

Maks says everyone stay safe, including his Mom and Dad.

Cancer Song.

Len. Son of Zeus. Roman God of Light and Music, and that is what it was. Two people in harmony with each other and the music.

Bruno. No questions, a Leading Man. Graceful, weightless, excellent movement. You have done it.

Carrie Ann. Dance without emotion is just movement. That was poetry in motion. The way you moved the space. I am so proud of you, your breakthrough number.

Macy Stars of Dance, French Revolution?

"RE: Kirsty and Max"
Posted by zookeepertx on 10-29-12 at 09:20 PM
I thought Kirstie had kinda excessive "puppy dog hands". I don't know how to say it, really, but even when her arms are extended, her hands are like she's trying to make them looking like an upside-down "V"

Foxtrot to Islands In The Stream.

"RE: Emmitt and Cheryl"

How the crap is this a song for a fox-trot??! SHEESH! Who picks this music & what's wrong with them?
That said, Great solo, Emmett!

"RE: Emmitt and Cheryl"
Posted by Snidget on 10-29-12 at 09:44 PM
I don't think this is Emmitt's dance. Maybe it is the country, but it's just not as good as I know he can do.

Bruno. I love you. Attitude brilliant. Lost a couple of passes, but country fun fair.

Carrie. You were a little out of sync and arms thrown away.

Len. Lacked some finesse, but fun to watch.

Voting extended on facebook/online.

8.5 - 8.5 - 9.5 - 26.5/30 - 82.5/90

Len. That was fun. Hoe down on the low down. Liked Maks getting spanked.

Bruno. Fun filled country extravaganza. Loved the Lazzoo lift.

Carrie Ann. Favorite number. Kelly and Val liked your solo. Three on the end, your solos the best.

Confer and award two bonus points.

Based it on the individual, most entertaining. Kirstie and Maks.
