Honestly, could they have come up with a suckier song to close with? So Studdard needs to revive his flagging career; who cares? This isn't going to help him. The lyrics make no sense, and it put me to sleep.

It is a remake of Kenny Loggins "Celebrate me home"

That's a shame. I liked Kenny Loggins' song from Caddyshack 2 (or was it 3)? This one sucks, though, and Roooobeennn doesn't help it by singing it like every other song he's ever sung.

Idol needs something more contemporary for its send off song. I liked the one they played earlier in the competition.

Maybe they think Ruben's buying public is a bit older and will appreciate a Kenny Loggins remake.

I wonder what music will be coming out the next few months that will be aiming to be played on the Olympics...is this one of them?

It's a freaking Christmas song. In March.


Or at least I think of it as such now, because the "all Christmas" radio stations play it all the time in December. Kinda like "My Favorite Things."
