Semi-Finals and the stakes are higher than ever. So, um, which one of y'all has been twisting the spine of your Derek Hough Voo Doo Doll?

Melissa and Roshon said goodbye, down to the final four, two full dances.

Derek looked like he tripped a bit on the stairs.

Most closely matched semi-finals so they say.

Len. Not this excited since my Mum put me in long trousers. Going to be really critical, Like a slightly tighter hold and sometimes a little flat footed but great job.

Bruno. Full of animal magnitism, Dictator of the Tango, it was Ace.

CA. So much more than just a pretty face. Lines gorgeous, but Chaine were a little out of control, a little over rotation

I like William fine, but that didn't really do anything for me. It didn't seem very sharp

Not his best. A bit clumsy.

Bruno. Outstanding, all the energy and razzle dazzle of the roaring 20's and amazing technique.

CA. Have to bring your A game and I don't think you did that, you brought your A+ game, may be the best dance ever on DWTS.

Len. You can dance, I'm going to be looking careful, a little foot fault early in I know you are short sighted CA. Overall what a fabulous number. Mark said the fault was his problem, something about a knee.

Oh, Carrie Ann needs to get a grip... one of the best dances ever on DWTS? PLEASE!

She's got into some of of what the judges across the hall are drinking.

Speaking of drinking, that sounds like a good drinking game: every time Carrie Ann says this one of the best dances.....

OTOH, I'd be so sloshed by halfway through, I'd miss the rest of the dancing.

Waltz and Samba.

Waltz up first.

CA. Dreamy. So dreamy. So emotional, brought into the love story. Few times your feet had a misstep, this is the right direction.

Len. Different era, more elegance. Charming. Peta has told you to keep your head to the left, can't blame you for looking at Peta, but.

Bruno. Much harder to impress with the waltz and you did that. Light on your feet, extended your lines, did a fantastic job. Romance blossoming in front of my eyes.

Jive and Argentine Tango.

Derek not sure he's giving her the right routine.

Argentine tango up first. Start behind a curtain and all we see is feet.

To instrumental tango music.

Intricate lift down the stairs are the start was interesting, but for some reason it looked a bit unfinished in a lot of the moves for me.

Len. silent fabulous.

B. Titillating, like a series of caresses. What you achieved is fabulous.

CA. When you first started, the journey, to this beautiful dance, so good, so amazing.

Really liked that one! Very hot!

Missed it, so I'll have to catch it later. The problem I've had with Derek may dance what he chooses to dance well but ignores the fundamentals of what Argentine tango dance is (I liken it to not dancing on the strong beat in waltz, or not taking heel leads in smooth dances, not having a proper frame, etc.). The judges, of course, don't know or don't care.

I didn't want to like this, but it was very good!

Get their stories and what gives them their drive.

Grew up poor in Cuba.

Samba, some kind of African Theme, Maghalena, in Spanish.

Bruno. Pleasure Zone, the flavor of Brazil. Die with bum envy (?)

CA You had me at hello. Lived up to every expectation, like a thrust, amazing.

Len. Never looked at a man's bum for so long in my life. Balance of steps, rhythm was fantastic.

Holy cow!

That was so smooth and deceptively casual. Great approach.

Grew up in Wales. First performance at 4. Bad break up right before the show.

Salsa, snake charmer start. Hey Girl shake your body like a belly dancer.

Some kind of trip/fall at the end. Mark keeps saying I got you I got you over and over. She looks in pain, just breathlessly says to go on.

CA. That was fantastic, sorry for the ending. See you push your boundaries.

Len. Katherine the great, gave that 100%

Bruno. Unleashed the Harlot, sometimes you get bit it happens to everyone, don't beat yourself up.

Some kind of back issue in the interview.
9~9~9

56/60 and Brooke says get the doctor to look at her.

She doesn't use the edges of the balls of her feet at all during the latin dances. The flatfootedness is really jarring to me.

Grew up in a tough neighborhood in Houston. Dad was in prison when he was a kid.

Dancing the Samba to Mr. Big Stuff.

Len. Bottom Line I liked it.

Bruno, took a big risk and it worked beautifully.

CA. Just smiling, that was A+ game.

Design a dance tomorrow, and an announcement about next season.

Medford Mass. Came from Greece with nothing.

Trying to bring her back to life at the start.

You gotta Tip on the Tightrope

B. Reinvented. The Quirky details never seen. Looked like a Fosse Step. Shouldn't work but it was brilliant.

CA. Another stunner, a winner tongiht.

L. Liked the rhythm of the whole dance, felt great with the music. I liked it.

Maria jumps on Tom, she can't jump on Derek.

10~9~10

29/30 59/60 for the night.
