CHAOS ENSUES WHEN CONFUSED CASTAWAYS ARE UNDECIDED ON WHETHER TO VOTE OUT AN EASY TARGET OR BLINDSIDE A BIG THREAT, ON "SURVIVOR: CARAMOAN – FANS VS. FAVORITES," WEDNESDAY, APRIL 10

"Cut Off the Head of the Snake" — One castaway learns a secret that will potentially change the game, and chaos ensues when confused castaways are undecided on whether to vote out an easy target or blindside a big threat, on SURVIVOR: CARAMOAN – FANS vs. FAVORITES, Wednesday, April 10 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

CHEAT TWEET: OMG! What is going on? Chaos ensues when confused castaways don’t know how to vote! #Survivor Wednesday 4/10, 8/7c

Sounds like the boot choices are a fan - easiest to target would be Michael, or a big threat, Malcolm. One is misdirection, the other is toast?

Thanks TRIBEY! xoxo

For me Sherri come to mind first as the easiest target, but Mike is certianly a logical choice too.

As for the big threat, I was leaning toward Phil (threat to everyone's sanity?) but the "the Secret learned", would imply that someone found his HI and that the big threat would be Malcolm.

Long way around saying "I agree".

I agree Flowerpower. Now that Sherri has sided with Stealthrus and shown she can be a loyal vote that leaves Michael as the safe fan all by his lonesome with no idle and no Corrine to protect him. Versus Malcom who is a threat physically though not as much as last season because he is quite worn down by now but he still has that charisma golden boy look. If they find out about his idle then that makes the target on him greater and they may try to blindside him by telling him that the target is Michael.

Long time reader de-lurking to state the obvious. I agree 100% with what has been speculated so far. Just as Corinne's "time for a blindside" confessional comment forecast her fate, I think Malcolm's comment that they "cut off the head of the snake" doesn't bode well for the guy running the show in the athletic guys alliance. I'll miss him.

Yes, but look at the bright side...we will get a full blown Malcolm at Ponderosa!! I can't wait for his analysis to play out. He will get fat and happy and we will get to watch!!

I do think that the big target is the golden boy...as even John said, they all think so.

Welcome aboard!

Julia went to Dawn about the double agent deal. Dawn went to Phillip and pushed his buttons. Julia got the boot.

Corinne told Dawn about the Musclehead anti-Phillip (and anti-Sherri) alliance. Dawn went to Cochran and together they got the balls rolling. Corinne got the boot.

New Dawn has all the information flowing her way is just killing at this game.

Next fly to get tangled in the web ...

One castaway learns a secret that will potentially change the game

Malcolm shouldn't tell her about his own HII, now that Corinne is gone he alone knows about that. But he might confirm to Dawn that Reynold has the Gota HII. Dawn goes to Cochran (probably, she cannot take this directly to Phillip) and Stealth now knows that Eddie isn't as dangerous a Musclehead, they can split a vote perhaps between Reynold and anyone they want. Or misdirect to make the Muscleheads think Reynold is the target when it is actually between Eddie and Malcolm. They may be able to eliminate both HIIs in one Tribal without knowing it.

they can split a vote perhaps between Reynold and anyone they
want.

We've heard Phillip talk multiple times about splitting votes at TC, but Corinne talked people out of it each time. Why would they keep bringing up the split vote if it didn't happen at some point? I think Phillip will finally get his way and convince folks to split the vote.

Unless someone finds out about Malcolm's idol, the safe bet would be to split between Reynold and Eddie. Since both have been with Gota the whole time, only one could have found the HII. They could flush out the Gota idol and get rid of an alpha male.

What I'm trying to say is:

If Dawn learns from Malcolm about Reynold's HII that solves the mystery, they don't have to worry about splitting the vote between Reynold and Eddie trying to flush out the Gota HII. They still want to flush out the HII and can make it seem like they are going all in on Reynold as misdirection (to Malcolm and Reynold and Eddie) so that Reynold plays his idol when he is actually safe, and either Eddie or Malcolm (holding his unplayed HII) is the actual boot.

Notable as well, per Corinne (RTVW interview part 2) Phillip wanted Malcolm gone at the merge because Malcolm would get a lot of camera time and hurt Phillip's chances of also winning the Sprint Fan Fave $100,000 at the end of the season.

per Corinne!

It is a good assumption but Phillip would never admit such a thing so she must be speculating just like us but spinning it as facts.

Him saying before the merge that he wanted Malcolm gone first at the merge wasn't spec. Her saying that they're all DAWs and want to eliminate camera hogs, yeah, that's Corinne being Corinne and getting in the knocks.

I am not at home so I can't scan it but this is on the April 10th page with Phillip's picture:

"The Specialist" had better watch his back! Phillip's alliance is in jeopardy when one of its members is caught double-dealing.

FWIW, i think Phillip could also be considered an easy target. But we see Malcolm strategizing with Dawn and they were not aligned last week for the vote. So he could be the one double-dealing and this would fit with the other clues that point to Malcolm getting the boot this week.

Thanks for that teaser. I'm more inclined to think that Philip is the threat and that Michael is the easy target. Philip is the head of the snake that Malcom is referring to and trying to get him gone. I think that the picture of Dawn and Malcom are of him sharing that he and Reynolds have idles and that he is trying to convince her to flip. She has a lot to consider here.

Based on the TV guide teaser Dawn could be the double agent. The head of the snake is an episode or so early as is usually the case they want to build it all up.

Say they get rid of Michael this weak and that makes the remaining fans need to scramble even more. That leaves:

Malcom
Reynolds
Eddie

Philip
Dawn
Cochran
Andrea
Sherri (she did as Philip asked last weak so should be a pawn in this side)
Brenda
Erik

All it would take is one flipper a split vote and 2 idles played and pow Philip would be gone. Even then the flipper could flip back and still have the advantage even after Philip was gone. We'll see, I could be just wishful thinking

None of the four people left out of the loop on the Corinne vote last week voted for Phillip. As far as they were concerned Sherri was going to be the unanimous boot. Stealth has only Corinne's word to Dawn relayed to Cochran and then to Phillip that there ever was a move against Phillip in the works. Corinne is no longer around to put to the thumbscrews, which in the paranoid logic of Survivor makes Dawn the next link in the chain and suspect.

Of the four left out of the loop, Malcolm and Michael both had ties to Corinne so it is understandable that they were left out of the loop. But because there was no move made to vote out Phillip they both have plausible deniability. (Eddie and Reynold were never in the loop and never will be.)

In fact if Phillip ever tried to include Michael in Stealth I don't recall that we ever saw that. That would be important had it happened and should have been included.

If Phillip really were the "Specialist!" he thinks he is, he needs to probe Dawn and Malcolm and Michael separately and hope something doesn't add up, figure that out. But Phillip being Phillip, if he cannot figure out what doesn't add up he can just rewrite history to make something not add up.
