I'd say that, unless you guys have a bootlist already, then we have a clue as to who goes first. It would be quite a record for Gabon since Sugar and Randy were the first to leave on their tribes in HvV.

Okay, on a list of which "favorite" has "something" to bring to the table it's CLEAR Malcolm is BY FAR the only fav worth a sheet this season. (However, I feel he's gonna fade into the backdrop this season.)
So from that point, is there ANYONE worth a spit?
Erik? No. Too dumb.
Phillip. No Vuckingway!
Brenda? The queen of lay-over-and-die? NO.
Andrea? Second only to Amanda for F'n up your own game. No.
Dawn and Cochran? Both completely unable to function with other tribemates. Tried to implement plans that went WAAAY south.
Brandone? THAT may make me actually NOT watch.
Francesca? 1st out and, I would guess, 1st out again. Totally worthless.
Yup, I'm convinced, Corrine is by FAAAR the best thing this season has going for it. (Aside from Malcolm)

No doubts there.
Tons of players would have been better choices.
But out of the 10 given, I'm putting all my eggs in Corrine's basket. (While my thoughts remain on Malcolm's basket. )

You're right about Amanda, but I'm giving her a break. Because she does bring something to the table, something best appreciated in situations where young women routinely run around in their underwear.

Please keep Andrea around to try and balance out Phillip and his tighty whities. As if anything can.

And they brought Erik back? Erik? Most of the monkeys on the island are smarter than he is.

If Cochran can stick to a Woody Allen comedy role rather than imagining that he can make grand moves, he might have a chance this year.

BTW, I think he (Cochran) will be a rich source of fun in the BTS threads.

For the returning players and we all agree that accept Malcom there isn't any of them that was worth a lot on there previous seasons what I'm thinking is that somebody has got to change there game and step up. Or they all loose.

Here is what I think based on the screen caps and sound bites-

Francesca- She has a ax to grind and they put Philip out there to be that ax. She seems like she would come out of the gate focused on him as her target and would do whatever she can to see it happen. I think it backfires on her because:

Philip- Look at the pics and see that he is buff. His chest is filled out and his legs have definition and in the tank top pic his shoulders and neck are muscle. He looks like he has prepared and though he is still in his pink panties I think special agent is here to play a different more physical game than first go round. He could lead the tribe as a big time help in challenges. Which leads to:

Malcom- He is much smaller then when he started his season and he looks like he is weaker to. He didn't have much time in between since he went back to back and people who have player back to back it takes a tole on them physically. So while Malcom was a huge help in his first season I think he will have a rougher time in this season and won't be the factor that he was.

Brandon- This kid is just crazy as in mentally ill bi-polar and you look in his eyes that hasn't changed.

Corrin- interesting comment on her I don't know how to take her one way or the other

Cochran- By making his statement that he brings nothing to the table he can only go up from there instead of last time he started off thinking he was this big fan call me Cochran and went down from there. I think he is smart enough to change his game and play better this time.

The others I got no real feelings about them as far as what they said or how they look in that they look like they haven't changed a bit.

I see that as a strategic move to convince the others that he's not a threat and will be worth keeping around as a voting chip while the alphas go at it early in the game. Meanwhile, Cochran could use that to his advantage to figure out who he should be allying with and try to get something set into place if he makes the merge. I believe that Cochran won't be as much "in your face" about his scheming and will try to be more low-key, so repeating to himself "I bring nothing to the table" is a good way to convince the others that he's not doing anything when he actually is beneath the surface.

He's smart enough to do it - just read his Dalton Ross interview and he's more savvy about the game than you'd think from looking at his South Pacific performance.

I agree Pepe and as many first time players that I've talked to in the past have said that they have jitters and survival mode to get used to the first time around. Second and more times around and they know what to expect and are able to not stress over the small stuff.

I hadn't seen this before so maybe it's new info: The premiere will be a 2 hour special.

As for the casting choices, the use of Ozzy's "Crazy train" tells us all we need to know.
(Probst was full of BS when he said it was done because they think those veterans had potential to improve.)

Phillip feels that we need to know he will bring the madness...

Alas, no... it's a hour and half premiere, not two hours (just confirmed today). They're condensing the show and choosing to air a repeat of "The Big Bang Theory" at 9:30.

Translation: It's a lousy opening episode so the producers were told to cut out some of the crap without too much unnecessary filler.

Just saw a new promo for Survivor, and I perked up when I heard, "More Make-outs, and they showed a camp at night with 2 players, shall we say, engaged...hmmmm....can't wait to see the vidcaps. Shall we start a pool?

Not sure, but it looked like the same cuddling giddy-up session that Malcolm and Cookie had last season. I know there's been talk of a new romantic pairing this season, but the preview I saw looked pretty familiar from last season.

I did tons of searching for caps.
Finally a tiny video showed up. I took super blurry blown up screens. of the brandon outburst and the makeout.



I was doing some speculating as to who the makeouts were.
Then lurked around sucks and heard a rumor it was recycled footage of Malcolm and Angie from last season.
Let's compare...

Cochran is seen suffering a sunburn. Even at the IC JP notices how bad it is commenting that it's the worst sunburn he's ever seen.

Phillip is seen discussing with Corrine and then Andrea and then both Corrine and Andrea about an alliance of those three plus Malcolm. Phillip goes on to name Dawn as another potential alliance member to all Corrine, Andrea and Malcolm.

And just some more commentary by JP (as well as few few more sneeks from first episode footage.
Nothing much in here accept for set up and making it look more and more like Fran and Phil could very well be the focus. (Also note JP's comment about adaptability being paramount to a successful run on Survivor and then Sherri noting she is a chameleon.)

oh jeez, anytime they show an alliance, it either doesn't last or makes it all the way to the end. With Phillip as the head, i am having serious doubts this. Cochran looks like a tomato, lol.

JP obviously has metallic balls, as this looks scary.
