Ok,

I love this show. I'm a musician, and a bit of a rocker, and I love INXS. This show rocks.

So here are my rankings of the remaining 14:

1. Brandon Calhoon – I can totally see this guy fronting the band

2. Jordis Unga - incredible voice. great look.

3. Deanna Johnston - Canadian rocker babe. Man, she has got some pipes!

4. Ty Taylor – I love his stage presence.

5. Marty Casey - great singer. Someone else I could see fronting the band.

6. Heather Luttrell - I like her, but her performances aren't as rivetting as some others

7. Mig Ayesa – not bad. not great.
8. Daphna Dove - kinda the female equivalent of Mig.

9. J.D. Fortune – His first performance - bleh. His second - much better. He's Canadian, so it wins him some bonus points.

10. Tara Slone - Canadian too (wow, there's lots of them here, eh?). I found her performance somewhat uninspiring though.

11. Jessica Robinson - she belongs on American Idol, not this show.

12. Wil Seabrook – He butchered "Right Here, Right Now." As that is one of my favourite teenage songs, there is no forgiveness.

13. Neal Carlson – I've never liked Mick Jagger before. Why would I start now?

14. Suzie McNeil – Is it just me, or does she remind you of Debbie Gibson?

1. Ty Taylor Man, this guy is terrific! You might say I'm a bit prejudiced by having seen him in a band years ago, but he has improved on what he had then. And that's saying something. Magnetic.

2. Deanna Johnston This woman can really, really sing. I don't know if she's what INXS needs, but someone give her a record contract. Stat!

3. Marty Casey Everything about this guy screams "rock star!" I really like him in every way. And Franz Ferdinand? Coolest new band around. Well done.

4. Neal Carlson He obviously loves Mick Jagger, but I think he can learn to go beyond that. He does have that ugly/skinny/sex appeal thing that Jagger had/has.

5. Jordis Unga I don't care how young she is, this girl can rock out with the best of them. Very impressive.

6. Brandon Calhoon Seems very confident in himself. He's pretty good, but needs some work. And please quit with the asking everyone to clap. They will if you're good.

7. Heather Luttrell She may have been born a rock star, but I think she still has some work to do. I like her, though.

8. Mig Ayesa Loads of charisma, good moves, and pretty cute. Voice needs some work, though.

9. J.D. Fortune Much, much better on night #2. Still a little spastic for me, but his arrangement blew me away!

10. Jessica Robinson Maybe, but needs a lot of work.

11. Tara Slone Ugh! Hope she leaves soon.

12. Wil Seabrook I thought he was absolutely horrible. So he's cute. So what? He can't sing a lick.

13. Daphna Dove I hate her. She creeps me out. I would never buy a thing of hers nor would I ever listen to or watch anything she does. Ick, ick, ick.

14. Suzie McNeil I was willing to cut her a break due to nerves on the first night. On second listen...girlfriend, go home. You svck.

13. Tara with "Take it Easy"- although such a low ranking is largly the cameraman's fault for making me look up her nose the whole song
14. Wil with "Right Here/Right now"- This would be my boot pick.

Other comments
-my preschool-aged son found it really funny that some of them forgot to put on all of their clothes (Neal's shirt and Brandon's shoes)
- I can't see a female winning this either. Maybe if they start playing with the actual band we can see how they would meld with a female singer. But it is great exposure for the good ones whether they win or not.

I only saw night 2, so anything awful (or great) the first night doesn't factor in for me. I like the music on this show sooooooo much better than on AI. The judges, on the other hand? Bug me. Come to think of it, they kinda bug me on AI, too, though. Except Simon. This show could use a Simon.

1. Jordis - My only gripe about her is that I'm not sure "Heart-Shaped Box" is a song you smile through. But ooooh, I do like her. Great pipes, great look, great interpretation of an all-time favorite song.
2. Marty - Nailed it.
3. Brandon - Dug it.
4. Deanna - I could really see her fronting this band. I didn't personally enjoy her performance quite as much as the three I have above her, but yeah... I could definitely see her stepping into Hutchence's shoes.
5. Ty - Pretty good. Actually, quite good. But I just can't shake the feeling that there's something incredibly fake about him. He's just a little too polished for me, maybe.
6. Heather - Good. Just not "wow" good.
7. J.D. - I kinda dug him, actually, but he seems like he'd be better suited to a different band.
8. Neal - If it were the Stones looking for a replacement for Mick, he'd be #1. But it ain't, and he isn't.
9. Mig - Creeps me out. He SHOULD be doing musical theater. Go back, Mig. Go back.
10. Jessica - A total "eh" from me. Kudos for playing to the band, but she seemed out of breath through most of the song.
11. Suzie - Butchered Blondie. Well, didn't butcher. But nowhere close to Debbie Harry. And I'm afraid that if you're performing Blondie, that's who you're gonna be compared to. Sorry.
12. Tara - Um... hon? The Eagles? What were you thinking? I love the Eagles, but somehow I don't see INXS ever covering 'em.
13. Daphna - Bugged.the.hell.out.of.me.
14. Wil - AWFUL! Sure, he's cute, but he has NO pipes at ALL.

I love how everyone, including dave & the judges rock out with
performances. True rock fans !!

This is the order that I like them based on fronting this band. Like Glow, if we were listing who we liked at performers my list would be in a much different order.
