The Rules

1. Put the name of your choice for this week's boot in the subject heading.

This is easy, just erase the bit where it says "Re: SurvivorBlowsTribe, Time to Vote..." and replace with your vote, e.g., "Jeff." Or, if you think this will be a two-boot week: "Jeff and his knee, no wait I meant his shadow, oh wait that's a nickname, Carter." It doesn't matter which order you put them in unless it matters to you.

This makes it easier to tally votes quickly and accurately. Nicknames are tougher to tally unless they are really obvious without actually reading your post. (Official nicknames are noted above.)

Other things you want to vote on (will there be food bribes, who wins immunity, who recognizes Lisa/Blair if anyone, whether Lisa or Denise is really Malcolm's Outback Mama), these should go in your post not in your subject line.

We like a nice straight vote thread around here, we are very attitudinal about it, and it's easier that way.

When RC said that 'we aren't a big happy family' in the preview she was stating the obvious. The merge exposes Tandang's fractures and she becomes the first member of the jury.

Usually don't post in the Survivor thread, but just putting in my 2 cents. Looks like merge and time to vote out a Tandang. Gotta vote out a physical threat. My guess it's either Artis, Pete, or Mike. Pete's got Abi & maybe Malcolm (for now). Mike seems to have that "older" alliance. Artis is the last pre-jury.

I'm buying (for now) that it has to be one of RC/Jeff/Artis/Carter. Who?

RC posted a pic on her facebook page last weekend of her sister - referring to her as the loved one visitor. (You'd better watch it RC...) Clearly, it is too early for that in the merge ep.

Artis tweeted a while back to Dawson to finally meet (tweet was deleted very quickly). Dawson's gone, Artis makes the jury. Does the jury start now? I'll speculate no, but I could be very wrong about that.

Gameplay wise (very dangerous to use), Tandang should eliminate a Kalabaw before the infighting (especially with Denise and Malcolm around). So, down to Jeff and Carter.

Hmm, let's use dabo's confessional analysis. That crazy spike for Carter does it.

Tandang eliminates a young guy in the merge ep.

I think it's either Carter or Jeff. Since I laid out all my speculation that it's Jeff, I'll stick with it.

He's a loyal foot soldier to Jeff, Jonathan is probably suspicious that Jeff and Carter will be targeting him, the former Tandangs probably don't want to go after each other right away and Carter had a big spike in Katie's farewell episode. Therefore, Carter's gone.

Confessional Spike. And basically, per exit interviews of Kalabaw women, he's a male chauvanist pig, and Denise knows this and passes it along to the Tandang women that despite their divisions they should eliminate this guy as soon as possible.

The tribes merge and they talk. Jeff's real identity is figured out. They agree he doesn't need the money and vote him out.

There's a reason, I believe, for Carter getting a huge spike in confessionals last week after not getting any in the previous few weeks - the same reason that Katie got a huge spike the episode before without any confessionals earlier ... he's being set up for his boot ep.

It's the merge, and that's traditionally the time of booting for potential challenge threats who have been edited to not have a significant role in an alliance. It's a formula we've seen quite often over the years in Survivor history, and it's why I'm going with Carter over, let's say, Artis (who also got a little bump in confessional time) because Carter is a bigger threat in challenges than Artis and Artis for the moment is part of the dominant Tandang group that has the controlling numbers.

My first instinct is to still go with Carter as my boot choice, but now there's a tweet from Pete that may or may not have inadvertently hinted at RC leaving tonight:

I am torn between him and Jeff, but think Carter's story is over (and he is hungry).

Alt boot: Malcolm (spike dip, minority tribe, possible to go on an immunity run... but they're not THAT smart)

He has lost so much weight, it's clear that he needs more food than he would get if he stayed. Nothing personal, but I am tired of watching him purse his lips. Yuck!

RC looks & sounds scared & Abi keeps giving her an evil eye, but Carter sounds like he's ready to go. Seems like there should be some more confrontations between Abi & RC for their mutual hatred, but that might happen at Ponderosa. Still the confessional spike seems to set Carter up for next, as otherwise, no reason to show him as he's kinda boring.
