This week's episode had the teams responsible for coming up with a restaurant concept and then opening the restaurant the next day. They were judged based on their Zagat's ratings on food, decor and service (was it service? I can't remember the third one for sure).

I missed a number of the details due to a sick child, but in the end, Jen C. was booted and that's all that really matters. She made the incredibly stupid decision not to take Sandie in with her. Sandie was in charge of decor and that was their lowest scoring category. She interrupted, argued, made faces and generally pissed off everyone in the boardroom and suite. She took Stacey and Elizabeth instead. Firing Jen C, according to Carolyn was a "no-brainer".

Miscellaneous Ramblings
--Carolyn was divine tonight.

What is with these women? They are so catty and falling apart. This is like the men last year where they lost a bunch in a row. Previews for next week show Trump scrambling teams and Pamela is back with the women -- I don't recall seeing anything of her this week in the restaurant stuff or the reward of being with Guiliani.

When Jen was show giving the finger to Stacy J behind her back you knew she was a complete goner. Where is the maturity? Do these women not understand what it means to be a professional business person? And it is not cat fighting or flipping someone off. Some of last year's apprectices came out smelling like a rose even tho they were fired. Erica is on Tony Danza's show and Amy Henry has a new book out. Even Omar went to the Emmy's.

Boo hiss on the women so far. As Carolyn said tonight: I am embarrassed by the women on the show to this point.

Jen C. was a train wreck. She was just unbelievable in the boardroom. Carolyn, Bill AND the Donald had to tell her to shut up. WTF? Even if you take away the complete stupidity in her nominations, she deserved to be booted for total insubordinance.

I'm confused about her thoughts on Sandie. She made the comment in the cab that she was disappointed in Sandie for "voting" against her, but then she saved Sandie from the boardroom? To me, the cab talk was nothing more than a feeble attempt to put the negative attention back on someone else. She was a complete tool.

Carolyn is really getting in her groove. She put the women in their place with complete professionalism. They should take a lesson on how to be firm and assertive instead of shrill and whiney.

Miscellaneous Ramblings
--Bill looked nice tonight, too.

I just can't understand how Jen C. can make the comments she did and flip off the camera without knowing the whole time that she is being captured on film?? Also, I'm surprised that Stacy did not call Jen C. out on her insensitive remarks about the two seniors she referred to as "old jewish" women. These boardroom firings are getting so easy to call that one knows within the first five minutes of the show which player is getting fired. I think that two seasons of this will suffice.

about 2+ hours long... so I'm sure that it was brought up. I bet Elizabeth is the one who brought it up in fact... it would have been a good stratagic move for her & Stacey to defend each other and go against Jen.

Plus we did see it, and knew it was bad so they may not have left those comments in the boardroom bash... I'm sure Trump wanted her gone after her creepy stalker copycat behavior when they all had dinner with him.

Was her psycological testing done by someone else? She was waaay more scary then we say StacyJ being... imho...

Remember in episode 2 when Ivana took Jen C in the BR, she couldn't shut up then. The Donald told her that she needed to learn when to shut up. I guess some people never learn. And what a complete moron for not taking Sandy into the BR. I mean if someone said that I should be fired, I would definately take them in with me.

Edited b/c i used the wrong name

"My account of what happened"
Posted by CantStandToLook on 09-29-04 at 10:45 PM
I searched and searched tonight while watching the show and couldn't find an update thread. Here's what I saw:

well it doesn't seem like too many people are watching tonight anyway but for anyone interested Apex lost (of course) and Jenn C was fired.

In the worlds MOST STUPIDEST MOVE EVER, she tried to play the instability card again only against Elizabeth this time. Now I must say that Elizabeth did seem completely on the verge of a mental breaksown over what happened last week and feeling like she was going to be the next target of the women. (Hmmm..where was all that understanding last week when she was railroading Stacie J).

Anyway, Jenn C. decided to take a Bragford , my way or the highway . approach to leadership and successfully managed to piss off everyone on her team except Sandy???(too many blondes I cant tell). The lil midget as Jenn called her came across as someone you have to put a muzzle on to shut up but regardless, Jenn's management style wasn't thrilling anyone. We're are the men this season...we see so little of them cause they're not doing anything to cause drama...though I thought the alternative lifestyle version of selling sex was quite the hoot. Since no one probably watched the show, the guys had some tough customers in a group of 4 gay men who tore the place apart cause you know , the whole queer eye for the idiotic guy thing. Brilliant idea by out native bostonian (hell I dont know he's from boston but he sounded like he was) told the best looking guy on their team to go out and schmooze them..and guess what, it worked like gangbusters. They totally turned the scene around and I am guessing got a rave reveiw by the guys. I say this because the review said something about hotties when referring to the guys.

While I'm on that subject, wtf is wrong with Pamela. Maybe the editors just dont like her but they sure did make her look like the extreme weak link on the guys team yet again. Despite her total inept ability to be human, the guys with their hot buns and very playful atmosphere and mood crushed the ladies once again.

I have to say I really thought the ladies were going to take this one as they had a great looking restauarant as well and were all very nicely dressed. Ivana looked more the PM than Jenn C as she managed the personnell and kept them moving instead of sitting around gabbing in front of the customers. All of the ladies had claws fully extended the whole time tonight at they argued over being given no time to sleep or given tasks that appeared as if they were being setup for failure or just b*tching about Jenn's management style in general. The whole task came down to two women (Jenn assumed were Jewish) complaining about how the place was nice but didn't quite fit the area. Decor was Sandy's task and it would appear that they failed due to a low score in that section of the Zagot survey, which was used to measure success or failure on this particular task.

Jenn C. being the overly sensitive person she is, promptly b*tched about the two old Jewish ladies (uh oh could the midget be Jewish and withing earshot..say it aint so) being the reason they lost. What's wrong with these people anyway..they act like they were persecuted or wrongly judged in their past or something. Anyway, since the midget can walk underneath the door jamb, she promptly went to the others and started bashing Jenn's bashing of Shakes....(oops , how'd he get in there?). Well of course Jenn's smarter than Stacie...she's not letting any of these witches out of her site and is standing right behind Stacy when she starts her b*tching.

At this point, you could just plop in any tape you might have had from the last three weeks. Jenn tells Stacy that she's a chaos maker and the team can't win when they've got people running around causing chaos. I guess she figure Stacy , Stacie...who'll catch the difference, it worked last week right? Oh well...off to the boardroom.

The guys...oh yeah they were here this episde weren't they. They and shemale Pamazon head off to meet Rudy Guliani and find out how to cheat on your wife without getting shot. Ok, so maybe they went to learn about leadership from him...or as some might say, how to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and not have a panic attack (uhhh Elizabeth are you listening). They all get signatures and stuff like that and then we're taken back to the boardroom where the women already have their tribal spears out but are holding them behind their backs so their target will be completely unaware she's being targeted.

Jenn just complains that they got one bad review and they shouldn't be there. She's in shock. The rest of the tribe...um I mean team start chiming in about Jenn's horrible management and lack of sleep and yada yada yada. Caroline ..uh I meant Carolyn...hehe..you wont hold that against me will you? Well Carolyn has pretty much had it with this lot, she's officially embarrassed to be a woman Pam doesn't have that problem cause we dont have enough proof yet that she IS a woman. Anyway, she tries to complement them on their restaurant while at the same time telling them how stupid it was to open an upscale eatery in a lower class neighborhood. Do these people look like they've been to a restuarant with more stars after the name than Denny's? I dont think so. Jenn in her usual fashion interrupts and interrupts till Carolyn has to b*tch slap her senseless and tell her to just shut up. What dont you get about "you failed"?

Cut to the chase, two or three, it really doesn't matter cause your a$$ is toast. Jenn choose two and brings Stacy and Elizabeth. Oh and did I mention Bill Rancic (yawn) filled in for George this week. He actually spoke some words that hopefully will resonate with the women. He told Jenn that she shouldn't bring people into the boardroom unless she really thinks they contributed to the loss cause that's the quickest way to find yourself in a cab talking to yourself for 10 minutes while the rest of america laughs at you. Anyway, Jenn brings Elizabeth and Stacy into the boardroom and the fun ensues. The Donald asks why she didn't bring Sandy since she was responsible for Decor which they scored low on and helped cost them the task. The idiot she is, Jenn tried to play the Elizabeth had a nervous breakdown and we all saw it card. The Donald's not buying it this time around. He asks if her bringing Stacy into the boardroom is personal and while so eloquently trying to point out how Stacy is a loose cannon to well basically just her, she very eloquently tells them all , yes it was personal. In a very it's me or her manner, she was summarily dispatched.

Bill's not allowed to comment on Donalds' decision as he hasn't been given an opinion yet but Carolyn quickly drops to her knees...I mean agrees that it was the easiest firing decsion he's had to make yet.

In the cab, Jenn tells us how honest she was and how she wasn't willing to stoop to win the game while in the same breath telling us how her best friend, her buddy, her partner Sandy sold her out in the boardroom. Yeah I probably left that out...so sue me. Trump asked Sandy directly who she thought should be fired and when she started trying to do all the doubletalk that all of these girls seemed to have majored in at college, he said "just give me a name and shut up". Oh yeah..she said Jenn.

Well hope you guys watch next time...it was fun watching the show and staring at the empty board. With most of the interesting characters gone already, I dont know how exciting the show is going to be to watch next week. The donald is going to even the score some though and give the women another man..they call him Pam.

That's right , you're fired..get out already

Hey Cantstandtolook, your synopsis was was awesome. Love the sarcasm. Too bad nobody else watched the show.........I guess people were watching the Bachelor??? I watched both.......I don't know which group of women is worse, Apprentice or Bachelor, but I do think there that between the two groups we might get to some female physical violence this season.

By the way, Raj was the team leader for the guys and since they won that gives him a bye for next week.

Elizabeth has an emotional moment which Jen tried to call a breakdown. The bridal salon girl did the decor of the restaurant and that part got the lowest numbers on the surveys. Jen stood up for her but the salon girl sold out Jen. Interesting dynamics.

The guys had a table of gays so there was a bit about using their looks to cajole the gays into being less critical. It seems to have worked for them.

Another bit was about two older women criticizing the decor. Jen was defensive about it and worried about their surveys. She later said it was the two older jewish women who ruined it for them and that ticked off Stacy J because Stacy J is jewish. They did not show that part in the boardroom, though, but I wonder if it will be in the expanded boardroom show on Sat.

Jenn C. referred to Stacy as the "Little Munchkin" within earshot of her., then later complained about those "two old Jewish ladies that didn't like anything" as the reason their restaurant didn't receive high ratings.

Even before she flipped the bird to Stacy in the suite, I was already thinking that I would feel cheated if she is not fired this week. Good riddance to bad news...

I think that Apex will surprisingly start to rally now that Jenn C. is gone. She was an insidious troublemaker (havoc-wreaker....)in their midst. Get rid of Stacy R next, and they may actually become team.

Elizabeth looked like if she were questioned any longer in the boardroom, she would have started crying -- Another Boardroom First --.

After watching tonight's show it is pretty obvious that only a few women are in contention to be he next Apprentice.

When they get cetty in the boardroom in front of Trump, their time is numbered.

I do not believe any of the girls that were called back to the boardroom this season have a chance of making it to the end.

Trump will pick them off one by one.

Stacy J wanted to do an italian restaurant. I wonder what would have happened if they would have gone italian instead of the "asian fusion" theme.

BTW, what exactly IS "Asian Fusion"?...

"RE: Asian Fusion"
Posted by Thaibeach on 10-04-04 at 07:50 AM
Asian fusion cuisine typically includes dishes from a number of Asian or Pacific cuisines such as Japanese, Thai, Hawaiian, Vietnamese, Malaysian, or others, often with a French influence (as the Cheese-eating Surrender Monkeys colonized/occupied Vietnam for an extended period).
