ADVISORY: Vote threads are open to all who wish to participate and cast their votes, spoilers and non-spoilers alike. The posts initiating these threads contain no spoiler information other than perhaps referencing what has been revealed in TV promos for the upcoming episode. Non-spoilers, be advised that spoilers may include information in their posts here which you may not wish to read. Spoilers, please do not include spoiler information for future episodes, stick to the episode in question.

Special Note:

Jeff Probst is a liar!

Even though he said before the start of the season no multi-person duels, well this week it is a three-person duel. The difference this season is that only the winner of the truel will stay on RI, the others are out. (Kudos to Dalton Ross at EW for exposing what a dirty liar JIffy can be.)

So, this is a two-boot two-elimination episode. Vote accordingly. Boot, Boot, X-Elim, X-Elim.

The DAWS

Te Tuna (yellow) tribe
AD Albert Destrade (Upolu)
BH Brandon Hantz (Upolu)
CW "Coach" Ben Wade (Upolu)
DM Dawn Meehan (Savaii)
EM Edna Ma (Uplou)
JC John Cochran (Savaii)
RN Rick Nelson (Upolu)
SC Sophie "Софи" Clark (Upolu)
WD Whitney Duncan (Savaii)

Redemption Island
Exile 8: KT Keith Tollefson (Savaii, Te Tuna)
Exile 9: OL Oscar "Ozzy" Lusth (Savaii, exile 7, Te Tuna)
Exile 10: JR Jim Rice (Savaii, Te Tuna)

Eliminated
ep3. Semhar Tadesse (Savaii, exile 1)
ep4. Mark Anthony "Papa Bear" Caruso (Savaii, exile 3)
ep5. Stacey Powell (Upolu, exile 4)
ep6. Elyse Umemoto (Savaii, exile 5)
ep7. Mikayla Wingle (Upolu, exile 6)
ep8. Christine Shields Markoski (Upolu, exile 2)

The Rules

1a. Put the name of your choice for this week's boot in the subject heading.

This is easy, just erase where it says "Re: SurvivorBlowsTribe, Time to Vote..." and replace with your vote on which player will get the boot, e.g., "Sophie." Or, if you think this will be a two-boot week: "Sophie and Albert." It doesn't matter which order you put them in unless it matters to you.

This makes it easier to tally votes quickly and accurately. Nicknames are tougher to tally unless they are really obvious without actually reading your post. Other things you want to vote on, who wins what challenge, what Jiffy lies about next, who will Cochran backstab now, these should go in your post not in your subject line.

("Boot" defines as voted out of a tribe, either exiled to Redemption Island or, when Redemption Island is no longer a factor in the game, eliminated from the game. Quitters are also regarded as boots though whether they would be exiled or eliminated/disqualified is unknown. It is assumed that medical evacuees would be eliminated/disqualified without prejudice.)

1b. The process for voting on which Exile on Redemption Island will be eliminated from the game.

Place your elimination vote anywhere in the subject line with the boot vote. Place an "X" in front of the name of the exile you think will lose the duel and be eliminated from the game, as in X-Keith or X-Ozzy or X-Jim.

1c. Returnees.

This section is to note that it is absurdly probable for a player to be returned to the game immediately after a duel and subsequently be voted out again all within one episode. Can the Messiah return twice?

2a. Reply only to this post.

We like to keep our vote threads nice and straight, thank you kindly.

EXCEPTION TO RULE 2! VOTE CHANGES!

2b. But to change your vote (or add additional votes) reply to your own previous vote post.

Your new post heading should read, for example, "VOTE CHANGE: Cochran." Or perhaps "VOTE CHANGE: Cochran and Edna" if you think it will be a two-boot week. Should you wish to cast a vote for boot but think about it some more before casting a vote for which exile will be eliminated, or vice versa, please use this same process.

3. This is not a discussion thread, do not treat it as such.

There are plenty of places on the forum to debate the merits of people's arguments, have discussions, have civil and polite disagreements, and you can always start a thread if it isn't redundant.

Please feel free to discuss your votes in your own post, give reasons, cast all the extra votes you want, make jokes, whatever, we are all interested in what you have to say.

4. No graphics.

If you must have a graphic please make it pertinent to something, thank you.

5. Have fun!

Special vote this week: On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being dumb as nails and 10 being inexplicably dumb, how dumb was Jeff's lie?

Keith & Jim ain't gonna beat Ozzy, no way nohow, so both of them get their buffs torched. As for Whitney & Dawn, the only way either one survives is if the one still left after the episode's first voteoff wins immunity. Not a lot of chance of that, so my vote is for both of them to be booted.

Keith and Jim both lose to Ozzy and head to the jury. Dawn is voted out and when there's a second Tribal Council, Whitney joins her on the way to Redemption Island.

No reason to think that the focus on Ozzy getting in shape for his return has been for naught, so he will carry the day on RI this week and as long as it takes until his return.

As for TC boots, I will buck the common sense picks that says the pagonging will continue, and hope that a rebellion is instigated and that it succeeds. If so, the likely candidates would be Coach and Brandon, I guess.

Wishful thinking, I know.

I like the idea of Jim embracing his new power as he becomes a juror and then warning the Upolu to get rid of Cochran or lose his vote for the million...laying the groundwork for Cochran to get voted out in EP11.

It also makes sense that Cochran would lobby the Upolu on Dawn's behalf and suggest a Whitney boot first. However when Whitney wins immunity, Albert gets his wish and Dawn goes home first anyway...

Ozzy gets a little closer to reentering (which I don't believe he actually will be the one to reenter.) with Keith dropping out first and then Jim following shortly after.

Meanwhile in the tet una tribe, Albert exerts some movement towards changing up the game but Coach's potential retribution has him back in line quickly. Specially since the revolt hinges on Cochran again switching alliances. The Cochapoo is a happy Coach lapdog at the moment.
However, that doesn't stop Dawn and Whitney from voting for Edna.
While Upolu+1 align again, content with their placement and Vote out Dawn. (either as Albert's compromise or because Whitney wins the Immunity necklace.)

Then another TC Vote happens and as Brandon had stated earlier "whatever the order; Dawn and Whitney are the next out." So it follows that this time Whitney gets the boot.

Pa-Gong!!!!!

10 on the Jiffy scale, it was a purposeless lie.

Ozzy almost certainly wins the truel, he's getting a heroic edit despite how poorly he plays the game. Coach maintains precarious control of the game, in part because of his bulldog Brandon. Mainly because he has control of the HII that Albert-Sophie helped him find.

Dawn's campaign flops, unfortunately. Should have called Brandon out when he said, "They're just being nice because they have to." Huh? No one actually has to be nice unless it is Upolu under orders to be nice to Cochran, and even then they actually don't have to. But for some inexplicable reason they keep letting Brandon get away with telling them how they think.

Special Vote: Jeff's lie was a perfect 10.
Why would he say that when he would get called out on it later? I am starting to wonder if all his preseason hype was a CAT 10 lie too. I'm waiting for this to be that exciting season he promised us. All it has been is a glorification of Coach, Ozzy and the Cochroach with a side of crazy Lil'RussHELL.
I had hopes for Dawn (why?)...and now all my hopes lie on Sophie to knock the Coach out.

E10 RI Duel (1x3 way) - Keith can't keep it up , then jim's chances deflate; both headed to LL. Ozzy survives to eat another fish.

IC10a - Whitney seesaws her way to Immunity

TC10a - Dawn is voted out

IC10b - Cochran finally wins a Harvard worthy chal at TC, by either flipping a cube or chalking a slate...but certainly not by chopping a coconut.

TC10b - Whitney is voted out

And Next Time on Survivor (Wed Nov 23)...'A Closer Look', a re-cap re-crap of choice footage to date, in case you missed it the first time or now think of it as Must Re-See TV.

Please feel free to discuss your votes in your own post,

If Dawn goes first, as has been suggested, then which is more likely -- that Whitney wins immunity? That Albert is making headway? That Cochran loses his influence in suggesting which person Coach should kick out? Or that Brandon is really the person in control? I'm going with #2 (see below)

give reasons

Albert already targeted her once and failed. I'm guessing that he brings it up again (now that Brandon hates her), gets traction, and is on his way to securing the $1M. Michel mentioned that failing a lot isn't the edit of a winner. I suggest that Albert is the only player thinking strategically (other than Jim, but he's gone)

Coach: already sealed up his pathway
Cochran: just playing day-by-day
Brandon/Edna/Sophie/Rick: pawns
Dawn/Whitney/(Ozzy): fodder

Ozzy can't get X'd... he's destined to return at F5. Maybe to get voted out again, but we'll deal with that in a couple of weeks.

cast all the extra votes you want

Sole-Survivor/Winner: Albert
Second: Cochran (unless he does something super-awesome... which is unlikely)
Third: Coach (after he accidentally destroys his alliance)

Despite evidence of Cochran's edit to the contrary (and Ozzy crowning him "wiener" - close enough to "winner")... of course, that opens the possibility of a TIE (first-time ever??). Ugh.

make jokes, whatever

"How many Cochrans does it take to screw in a lightbulb? - Zero, he'll just let someone else do it and then flip sides when it starts to get dark."

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being dumb as nails and 10 being inexplicably dumb, how dumb was Jeff's lie?

The one about no 3-way duels? Probably a 3... he tried to be tricky, got confused, and then forgot that he was wrong. Good enough to be dumber than nails, but not unexplainable. Plus he's prone to hyperbole...

Dawn will be the number one boot because Albert identified her as more of a threat to infiltrate Upolu than Whitney. Whitney will be next. I don't think that either Dawn or Whitney will win immunity...if they did, they wouldn't get the boot. I think that Brandon or Albert will win immunity, most likely Albert. But, maybe even Sophie. Albert has been very disappointing in the immunity win department....he's no Ozzy!

Cochran will perhaps go and tattle on Albert to Coach, that he wants to make a move....Cochran stabbed Dawn in the back the same way he did everyone else on his tribe. She was sympathetic because she liked the Upolu's better than the Savaii....they liked to pray more, and Rick's a mormon!
