Discuss the dances, the dancers, the "instadance" musical selections, for whom the bus revs, and who will be seen on The Soup on Friday here until the West Coast sweeps the glitter and sequins off the TV screen at the end of the show.

Figured I'd bring something to help Whimsey out.

Dessert Pizza.

Pizza crust baked with Raspberries and Mascarpone cheese and dusted with cinnamon sugar.

Two Full Dances, sounds like the insta-jive. Find out their song during the show.

If I had to guess looks like first round may be mostly ballroom based on the outfits, but you never know, especially what Hope has under her trench coat.

Round 1, individual dances

Dancing the Quickstep.

Cheryl really on him with keeping the butt in and the frame held correctly.

Take On Me. Oh so badly done. So badly done.

I'm in so much pain from the music. Thank goodness I figured out how to get the TV programmed into the new universal remote.

Lots of applause.

Len. When it started, it was terrible, but once you got in hold your posture was good. I had a good look at his buttocks. Best dance so far.

Bruno. Once you took off, speedier than a drag race, once you know what to do with your bum everything falls into place. Lines good, incredible the improvement.

Carrie Ann. Ideal contestant, started out weren't that good, but tonight smooth and polished.

Tom adds, and the best week of any Kardashian.

9~9~9 27 out of 30. Highest score so far in the competition.

Maneater, is the instadance music.

"Hope and Maks"

Dancing the Quickstep.

Hope and Maks have an encounter session. Going to turn down the intensity. Gentler approach with Hope.

Maks has a surprise for her, Maks' family. How cute, Maks blushes ALL over.

Valerie, Amy Winehouse.

Posted by Snidget on 11-07-11 at 09:24 PM
Did better, but she's still a bit stiff in the upper torso for me.

Bruno. What is going on tonight? A night of miracles. Light breezy, radiant, best dance yet.

Carrie Ann, wants to give Hope a hug. You did a great job. So much joy and love and that is what dancing is about.

Len. Blend of speed and control. Fulfilled your potential.

Andreo Bochelli and Flo' Rida tomorrow. Stars of Dance honor the King Of Pop.

Scores 9~9~9 27 out of 30

The Best Damn Thing, Avril Levine is their music.

Nice dance, flowy, but not terribly memorable.

Carrie Ann. The shaping, came up once in a while, what makes you special you lose yourself in the dance.

Len. Like a river going through the dance, beautifully executed. My heart wants to give you a 10, you have to get the heel leads.

Bruno. It was deliciously dreamy, floatingly soft. Incredible what you put in, finish of line. Absolutely beautiful.

9~9~wait for it~10 28 out of 30.

Carrie Ann and Len pointed out the mistakes. Yet Bruno gives her a 10? What an idiot.

"RE: Ricki and Derek"
Posted by Round Robin on 11-08-11 at 04:32 AM
Not really an idiot, that's Bruno's way of telling them he thinks they're full of $hit or they're nitpicking too much. He does that a lot.

"Nancy and Tristan"

Dancing the Tango

Nancy is delusional, she thinks she knows how to dance much better than he does. Channeling the love hate into the tango.

And Qwerty will probably want to black out the visual as well. Ouch.

Len. Week 2 did your best dance, been on a plateau. Up you've gone.

Bruno. So shocked, you brazen jezebel. Legs like velcro, right attitude.

Carrie Ann. Love your spirit, friskiest girl. What you did was clean and sharp. Much better tonight. Toes not quite as pointed, and a stumble at the end.

8~8~8 24 out of 30

If the voters save her this week they ought to all be hung. The voters have been just awful this season. Buncha idiots.

"RE: Nancy and Tristan"
Posted by Snidget on 11-08-11 at 11:54 AM
I'm guessing the judges know what the voter percentages are and tried to make sure they were low enough they would be likely to go home.

They are quite a bit lower than the other couples. Now the voters could be that fanatic for them, but they made it a pretty large haul to yank them up.

"RE: Nancy and Tristan"
Posted by Round Robin on 11-08-11 at 05:18 PM
I'm sure the judges review the numbers when they have somebody they want to get rid of. And likewise, if it's pretty close, the judges sometimes deliberately create a tie and pass the buck to the voters. I think based on this that they want Nancy out pretty bad but don't want to be too harsh in the scores for PR reasons, though Len did say some harsh things about her last night.

"RE: Nancy and Tristan"
Posted by finallytyping on 11-08-11 at 12:50 PM
Agree. I stopped voting a few episodes ago because I realized it doesn't really matter. I think the producers really have all the control.

Bye Tristan... see you next season. Maybe you'll be a permanent replacement for Mark.

I thought that was better than Ricki's but I'll probably be wrong when the judges chime in.

Bruno. A Musical Valentine card. Danced with your heart on your sleeve. Made beautiful music with Karina.

Carrie Ann. Tonight something happened in the middle that was magic. Brought us all into the dance.

Len (Tom--don't be a buzzkill). Where is your tie? Each week is a battle, you came back all guns blazing.

Goal to get the first perfect 30. JR thinks he may have done enough.

10~10~10 A Perfect 30, first for the season.

Showed the lack of polish on that. Those pants do not help with the bubble butt.

Len. No glaring mistakes. Gotta flick a little bit more, sharpen up the feet. Well Done.

Bruno. Great pace, arms getting better.

Carrie Ann. Seamlessness of the transitions. Went right into the dance. Point toes a bit more, but in control on the dance floor.

Semi finals next week.

Rob wants to get to the finals, gotta make it to next week.

8~8~8 24 out of 30 Total of 51 out of 60.

Kept dancing after the music ended.

That was much better than she usually does.

Bruno. The Fast and the furious. You have to stretch the back of your knees and finish your move with the free hand.

Carrie Ann. Definite improvement. That was a fast jive. Hands were a little strange.

Len. No one boos them, This was fantastic, everything a Jive should be. Standing up and incoherently praising.

Tom tells them to scroll past some stuff on the telepromter.

8~9~8 25 for a total of 52 out of 60. Some booing in the ballroom.

"RE: Insta-Hope/Maks"
Posted by jbug on 11-08-11 at 11:37 AM
Hope was completely in step with him on every move; when they were side by side doing the kicks, she was like a mirror image of Maks. I'm surprised the judges didn't mention how perfectly that was done.

"RE: Insta-Ricki/Derek"

And Derek has to start by showing off.

I liked Hope's more, it was more fun, this was too much of the Derek show for me.

Talking about the feet on the floor in the spin around.

Carrie Ann A lot that was nice, and spots where you stopped and Derek kept going.

Len. Opposite ends of the dance spectrum. Coped well. A couple of moments where Eee,

Bruno, demanding choreography, usually you have continuous flow, some didn't flow as well as they could have. Difficult dance, wasn't terrible.

Now I do like that Derek interrupted her I disappointed people thing.

8~8~8 24 out of 30 52 out of 60 total.

"RE: Insta-Ricki/Derek"
Posted by Farmie on 11-07-11 at 10:46 PM
ITA, Snidget. I liked Hope/Maks better. I haven't been a big fan of Ricki/Derek all season (it's more Derek than Ricki). I feel like they have been scored higher than they danced...of course, it's not because I'm a JR fan .

"RE: Insta-Ricki/Derek"
Posted by jbug on 11-08-11 at 11:50 AM
Carrie Ann said exactly what I noticed; too often Ricki was just standing & Derek was dancing around her.
I notice this a lot when the "star" is the man & it seems like the pro is letting him stand there while she dances around him; but I have to think that that is the way it often is in this kind of dance.
So to see Derek do this - it looked planned to me - not that Ricki forgot her steps - that Derek just wanted to show off some more.

The man can dance, that's for sure. He just shows off a bit too much for me.

"RE: Insta-Nancy/Tristan"

That was a bad cartwheel, yikes. Strategic begging.

Len. Cinderella story, commend you for, it is midnight and time to go home.

Tom. Don't hold back Len, tell us how you really feel.

Bruno. Has to be compact, a bit laid back and loose for a jive.

Carrie Ann. Got lost, trusted Tristan to lead you. A team, but you lost it too often in the choreography.

7~6~7 20 out of 30 and 44 out of 60 total.

Carrie Ann. You are in a class all on your own. No one close to you guys tonight.

Len. You've got the X-factor and the feel good factor, and you came out here with the most fantastic jive.

Said did you see I tried the Derek Slide.

10~10~10 for a perfect 60 out of 60.
