Everyone must dance twice. It is the return of the groups. If memory serves, this usually manages saves everyone in the higher scored group and someone from the lower scored group will. go. home.

Twice the opportunity for the judges to underscore whom they want and overscore their favorites. Lets see who will be among the saved and who they are revving up the bus for.

ETA: All dancing together, I depending on how they score this, but again, usually they can do something to really drop someone or elevate them.

200th show a couple of nights ago.

Why do I keep hearing Brook's new name is Brook Burke-Sharpei?

Kristin Chenowith performs later, how much filler can we put in a performance night, do they not have any 30 minute shows they can use?

DaDa Da Da Da Boop.

Individual routine to a Broadway song, dance side by side so sounds like one group dance.

Rob wants to vibrate like Maks. Mmmmmm vibrating Maks...

Oh, dance after the break.

Rob shows improvement, but Cheryl was leading him around the floor.

Stairs in the middle, start on the stairs.

Walk like a man, dance like a frog. I don't think he did well at all. Just something awkward about that.

Audience liked it.

Len. Clean, precise, good timing (sisters yelling it was a nine) Each dance has new challenges, it has to have rhythm, it wasn't cheeky and oily, but starchy.

Bruno, it has to be there, there, there, there. It was adequate, but it should have impact and power. Listen to Mama.

Carrie Ann. Not as great as last week, more charisma than ever before. Not quite the man, on the cusp, late college bloomer.

8~7~7 for 22 out of 30.

Rob has grown on me but I think those scores were a little high. Carrie Ann definitely has a crush on him.

The dance was nice. Wish some could shut-up his sister Khole, Len looked at her like are you for real!

I now like Rob because we have seen him separate from his family. When his mom came through the door, I instantly disliked him again. The family has to take Rob's moment and make it all about them.

From Monty Python's Spam-a-lot
Phantom of the Opera guy popped through the curtain behind them on the throw to commercial.

Nancy accuses of him of trying to screw her up since she is asking for more difficulty.

Dancing the Foxtrot to Always Look on the Bright Side of Life

"RE: Nancy and Tristan"
Posted by Snidget on 10-24-11 at 08:35 PM
I hate to say it but they did a pretty good job of that. Although his skip hops looked way more girly than hers.

Bruno, Nancy Dance-a-lot. Loved the pythonesque twist. Captured the feel of the musical but did a fox trot well done.

Carrie Ann. You showed me. That was a show stopper, excellent.

Len. Smile on Len's face. More flair less care, much more personality came out. Certain amount has to be in hold, posture wasn't there. Like the razzle dazzle,

Bruno and Len arguing.

Let Tristan talk Nancy

Does the cartwheel thingy count as a lift?

Streamer cannon at the end.

Could have stood to be more precise for me.

Carrie Ann. Performance lived up to the expectations we had. You guys were out of sync. Posture fantastic, just got to be in sync.

Len, rough around the edges, High energy, full on and fun.

Bruno. Like a teenager on spring break, live wire. Energy up there, got everyone going.

I really like David, but that just won't cut it with Ricki and JR doing the same dance. Too bad. I'm sure he'll hang around, though.

eta: Definitely better than Nancy and Rob, IMO.

I got tired watching that.

Standing O from Carrie Ann and Bruno.

Len. You don't need luck if you have talent. Proved your talent. You were flying. Being picky about her head position. I loved it.

Bruno. Impeccable style, outstanding choreography, showmanship, fit like a glove. Interpretation of the music beyond belief.

Carrie Ann. Beautiful to see poetry in motion, everything a number should be. Tony award.

10~9~10 29 out of 30.

"RE: Ricki and Derek"

"RE: Ricki and Derek"

I agree, Farmie. I want to make Ricki Jennifer Grey, but I just can't. Great job, though and she deserves top props.

"RE: Ricki and Derek"

I don't want to take anything away from Ricki. She is a great dancer. I just feel like the judges are over-propping her.

Kinda sluggish and dragging, but Chaz looks great in the outfit.

"RE: Chaz and Lacey"

Dancing with the mask on.

Bruno. Chaz, my darling, a different kind of phantom. Needed to be dark, like a panther stalking. This character didn't fit you.

Carrie Ann. Agree a little bit, each person has their own journey. Most aggressive I've seen you. At week 6 want to see more content.

Len. First rule is get through the routine, you did it, and you are trying your hardest. The hold should be tighter, little more aggressive, stepping though your heels. Didn't suit your personality, but well done.

7~6~6 total of 19

This reminds me of the time Sara Evans did the paso doble to "The Phantom of the Opera." She wasn't too good at it either. I wondered then why someone who was actually good couldn't get a song from my favorite musical! And now I'm wondering the same thing. Chaz just wasn't good enough.

"RE: Hope and Maks"
Posted by Snidget on 10-24-11 at 09:30 PM
That heavy knitted poncho does not do her any favors in this dance. Something flowier would be better.

Carrie Ann. I see all the effort, for the first time saw you relaxing and trusting your natural sexiness. Sometimes forced the move a little. Improvement and more to work on.

Len. At a loss. I never lost faith in you. There is so much there, just hasn't come out. Thought the boots didn't help. Worst dance of the season. Maks encourages the boos. Len says half the fault is yours. The audience likes the effect, I've been in the business blah blah blah, Maks goes off about how much effort and their judgmental comments and he is protecting his partner.

Bruno. Tried to tell a story, worked at times. The rumba never stops moving. Not lack of effort, but didn't quite gel.

Halloween special night next week.

7~6~7 for 20 out of 30.

Maks says it is his show and he makes it what it is. He is a little tired of the way they are being judged.

"RE: Hope and Maks"
Posted by whimsey on 10-24-11 at 09:31 PM
I get the impression Hope doesn't want to be here, and I'm curious who's voting for her - maybe the Maks folks? Well tonight's tirade took care of that.

Lol, didn't care for this dance at all. Tomorrow the bottom 2 imo will be Chaz and Hope. 1 point seperate's them, I believe Chaz has a bigger fanbase, so I think Hope will be going home.

LOL

It's his show, he helps make it what it is, he's tired of some being judged for effort and others being judged by heels (his partner's boots, Len said those boots had something to do with how she was dancing?)

Holy ego, Batman! What is he trying to do?? There has to be something else going on.

"I get the feeling"
Posted by moonbaby on 10-24-11 at 09:30 PM
based on how Len said he hadn't given up on her that maybe he did tell her that at some point and it got Maks irked enough to call Len on it during the live show? Pure speculation on my part.

I wonder if Derek has an opinion about "Mak's Show." Even before this, I think Hope looks strangely clunky. I don't think Len was basing he judging on her boots, so much as on the way they forced her to step flat-footed.

"RE: ooo Mad Maks"
Posted by Sagebrush Dan on 10-25-11 at 11:13 AM
Apparently both Derek and Lacey agreed with Maks, but Derek thought Maks shouldn't have said anything, whereas Lacey seemed glad he did.

Won't be scoring, but the judges will comment.

Then David, Hope, Chaz, Ricki, Rob, Grace,

Some of those lifts were less than graceful.

"RE: Thanks, Snidget"
Posted by Round Robin on 10-25-11 at 03:15 AM
Chaz was the worst, but I fear that Max ripping Len a new a$$hole will cost Hope in judges' screwings the rest of the season, as I fear it might have tonight. If the viewers let Len get away with his bull$hit and send Hope home instead of Chaz, it will cement this season as the biggest travesty in the history of DWTS.
