Keep it all the scandals, injuries, filler and any dances that might occur here until the West Coast has a chance to sweep out the glitter and clear out the spray tan fumes.

1/2 way through the competition.

It's 80's Week.

The Bangles Eternal Flame to open, I think it might be the Bangles singing. I don't think the band got that kind of upgrade.

Onto Walk Like An Egyptian.

I think it is the troupe dancing to this. Bruno going at it behind the judges desk.

Tom says it is The Bangles, they have a new album.

Fire up the Flux Capacitor and Welcome the Stars.

Stairs in the center.

You know what was refreshing? I thought the Bangles gals were gorgeous and it looked like they didn't have any work done on their faces.

Judges give expert Insight

Carrie Ann. Hope most athletic, but not most feminine. Focus on the movement and let the sexiness come out. They have a Love Hate Relationship. Sounds like they have the Tango this week.

Back, after the break.
She is having problems being an actress.

Red Vinyl coat with a sexy outfit underneath.

Len way back in his chair...Tom lets them bask in the applause. Maks did a good job, action and reaction, Hope you were too willowy no strength in you. Tom I'm giving them advice, you are too willowy in the body, too loose limbed, liked the aggression and attack in it.

Bruno. Hope I thought you got the 80's super ##### down to a tee. Strong sexy and powerful.

And the boys are arguing.

Carrie Ann. Both are kind of right. Strong and in character. Lines got awkward, boys are not letting her talk. Sometimes less is more.

Both Maks and Hope give Tom a pat on the bum.

Pictures of them as kids in the 80's

Next week Broadway Hits. Tom say Maks looked like a Keebler Elf in the 80's.

Maks, Hope, please just get on with it! Stop the fake fighting and give us a real show.

This is the second time Hope and Maks have had to dance first. Someone doesn't want them to stick around.

Maks looked good. I enjoyed watching him.

Their dance was over-scored again. 8's come on, more like 6's and 7's.

Posted by JessicaRN on 10-17-11 at 11:26 PM
I just don't like to watch her dance. I thought that I would, but now that she's getting more confident, I find her annoying.

Other dancers who scored 7s did better than this.

How did they not wipeout on her clothing? I had to close my eyes for parts of it.

They should have practised the clothes tossing more.

"Carson and Anna"
Posted by Snidget on 10-17-11 at 08:28 PM
Bruno: He is Mr. Personality. Gotten away with poor technique up until now. Cannot look sloppy in the Jive. If combine personality with technique he is a winner.

Dancing the Jive to Wham's Wake Me Up Before You Go Go.

I thought Carson was losing some of that trademark sparkle, but he seems to have found it tonight. Of course it doesn't make his dancing any better, but he brings the party to the dance floor.

"RE: Carson and Anna"
Posted by Snidget on 10-17-11 at 08:33 PM
In Cheer Leading (Carson in Shorts) under the track suits.
Yellow Pom poms on their hands.

Bruno. That was loopier than a looney tune. Insane Toni Basil Dancer. Crowning Achievement in Madness.

Carrie Ann. Fun. Richard Simmons envied your outfit. It is week 5. Didn't see much technique, and out of sync a few times.

Len. I like you, but "I've been getting your letters" says Carson. Not sure that was good enough.

6~6~7 for a total of 19 out of 30

"RE: Carson and Anna"
Posted by Loree on 10-17-11 at 08:45 PM
I admit Carson is a bad dancer. But him and Anna are so much fun to watch.

Awww... Hope their safe tomorrow, this team is so much fun, I want them to stay!

"RE: Carson and Anna"

They make me smile. I liked the way he covered his man parts with his pom-poms during the interview. (That whole sentence is wrong is so many ways)

"Nancy and Tristan"
Posted by Snidget on 10-17-11 at 08:41 PM
Nancy wears her heart on her sleeve. Didn't like the flashing of the Paso. Rumba has to be pitch perfect. Shouldn't look like a floozy.

Dancing the Rumba to Spandau Ballet's True.

"RE: Nancy and Tristan"
Posted by whimsey on 10-17-11 at 08:44 PM
Kinda dry, but I guess she did her best.

"RE: Nancy and Tristan"
Posted by Snidget on 10-17-11 at 08:46 PM
I thought that was awkward.

Tom says the Bickersons made up, mostly. Incoming.

Carrie Ann. I want to see real passion when you are dancing. Don't feel a connection to the dance. On the drab side. Have to finish your movements and connect them.

Len. Difficult to get in a rumba. Thought it was simple but effective. Ease and Elegance about it. Few unstable moments.

Bruno. Southern Belle, don't take my boy toy away. Sexy, not slutty. Could have had better links.

Photos of judges in the 80's. Len with a blue splotch on his face.

7~7~8 22 out of 30. Nancy is so happy to get one 8.

"RE: Nancy and Tristan"

I kept wanting Nancy to get out of the way so I could see Tristan.

Manic Monday.

"J.R. and Karina"
Posted by Snidget on 10-17-11 at 09:01 PM
Bruno. Consistant, some magic that exudes. Extra quality and finish and sharpness on the foot. tiny details even more important. Most men mess up the Samba.

First antennae on his head, now she blowdries a wig off. Karina wants to put his hips to good use. Tapped into Latin Roots. Jose Rene Martinez, this week.

Dancing the Samba to Conga

"RE:Jose Rene! and Karina"
Posted by Snidget on 10-17-11 at 09:06 PM
Doing Samba Rolls which is unusual with a male star.
Nice Job.

Len. Way to go Jose. I didn't think you'd come out and perform like that. Normally guys and the samba don't work together.

Bruno. JR. Talk about hip action. Loin shattering sex machine. So much fire down below like a volcano.

Carrie Ann. Oooh Papi Muy Caliente. I want more of that. That was amazing. Didn't bleep the Spanish she thought was swearing but did bleep some of her English.

9~9~10 (after making the audience work for it) 28 out of 30.

"RE: J.R. and Karina"
Posted by whimsey on 10-17-11 at 09:10 PM
Hell, yeah!

Aside: My neighbor said she didn't want JR voted through because she doesn't like looking at him and his scars. I walked into the bedroom, grabbed a mirror and put it in front of her face and said "I'm now tired of looking at this!" WTF! She is now contrite and mad that I'm sharing her brand of crazy with the world. Note to self: invite other neighbors.

YEAH! You tell her! She had a lot of nerve making a comment like that about a hero! (And a heck of a dancer, and... well, let's just leave it at that)

"RE: J.R. and Karina"

Wow, Awesome and On Fire! Judge B was the only one to give a correct score for this dance.

"Rob and Cheryl"
Posted by Snidget on 10-17-11 at 09:15 PM
Len. He is growing, on the way up. This week he is a leading man in the Rumba. Take command of the dance floor. On track all the way through.

Romeo came by to teach him how to be sexy.

Dancing the Rumba to Lionel Richie's Hello.

"RE: Rob and Cheryl"
Posted by Snidget on 10-17-11 at 09:19 PM
Bruno. We start to see Rob the Heart-throb. Using Cheryl as a partner, not hiding behind her.

Carrie Ann. I saw potential in you, like the tortoise, improving every week. Totally in control of the woman, and sexy as heck.

Len. Let me tell you, this dance for guys is very hard. Try to be masculine, pulled that off. Looked good, and you took command, she wasn't helping you around the floor.

Cast of Man Up in the audience. Premier tomorrow night, mimes the call in and vote for us.

9~8~8 for 25 out of 30

"RE: Rob and Cheryl"

Did a good job, Rob. A bit over scored, IMO, but a good job.

"Chaz and Lacey"
Posted by Snidget on 10-17-11 at 09:28 PM
Carrie Ann. Fascinating to watch. Make the whole room root for him. Came out strong, then got injured and lost confidence. More movement, less walking.

Brought in Lacey's Dad who coached her growing up.

Dancing the Samba to Kool and The Gang's Get Down On It.

"RE: Chaz and Lacey"
Posted by Snidget on 10-17-11 at 09:32 PM
Seemed like he had a lot more fun this week.

Carrie Ann. So nice to see you going strong. The most dancing I've seen you do.

Len. I think that was a gallant effort. Got the feel for the dance, technique lacking here and there, really gave it a go.

Bruno. Got the bounce going, like a dribbling basketball. After JR a tough act to follow but did very well.

Costume design voting for Design a Dance. Vote for pros. One more photo. Brook's Big Hair from the 80's picture.

Injury has healed as well.

7~7~7 21 out of 30

"David and Kym"
Posted by Snidget on 10-17-11 at 09:41 PM
Carrie Ann. David is a leading man who doesn't know it yet. If he can find balance, watch out. He doesn't believe he's sexy and needs to stop thinking on his face. Tango ballroom version of the Paso.

Hopes to rise to the top. 80's was about Graffiti Art and breakd dancing, makes a Mirror Ball Graffiti Art. Worried about something that breaks hold. David really getting involved in the dance.

Dancing the Tango to Tainted Love, Soft Cell

So cute! Great footwork on David's part.

"RE: David and Kym"
Posted by Snidget on 10-17-11 at 09:46 PM
What is the band doing to this song, I used to love this song.

Something about his upper body looks awkward in that.

Len. David. I know I am the old fuddy duddy. First it had a great 80's feel. Have to show up or shut up, and you showed up and it was fantastic.

Bruno. That was a tango with a rebel yell. In charge, that is the way to go.

Carrie Ann. Liked the hold much better, improving. What you need to work on the musicality. In charge, steady on his feet.

Tom says when we all talk at the same time we hear nothing.

Focus on the musicality because I see you as a contender honey.

Really big show next week. Broadway, Music from Sister Act,

8~9~8 25 out of 30.

Awww... Loved their dance.

"Ricki and Derek"
Posted by Snidget on 10-17-11 at 09:54 PM
Tom messes up the intro, says that will teach him to drink during commercial breaks.

What, they get no advice from the judges? Derek says he was a fetus in the 80's.

John Waters stops by.

Dancing the Foxtrot to Easy Lover by Phil Collins.

"RE: Ricki and Derek"
Posted by whimsey on 10-17-11 at 09:55 PM
That dress did her no favors. I couldn't get past it.

"RE: Ricki and Derek"
Posted by Snidget on 10-17-11 at 09:58 PM
The Back of the bodice of her dress is really distracting the way it makes her look like she's got a big roll of back fat that I don't think is really there like that.

Bruno. What are you doing to me. All the promos with the running man. You did it wrong, and you don't need to do it. Didn't gel. Derek says it may have been me.

Carrie Ann. Roger Rabbit way off. When you two dance you work as a team like one person. In Hold it was gorgeous.

Len. No one likes funk like I do (Bruno and Carrie Ann are about to lose it after that statement). Not a move I appreciate in the Fox trot, no contact in hold, not your best, but not your worse.

8~8~8 24 out of 30.

Question: Why does the recording say that my time zone is closed at 8:55 pm West coast time? Is it because they don't want me to vote for the contestant that I chose?
