You know the drill, keep the discussion of tonight's show here until the West Coast clears the last of the smoke and glitter from their eyes (and wonders what scandal got edited out of this week's show that they'll have to wait until The Soup on Friday to see).

Emotional High
Lost the Blond Bombshell
Lowest scorer lives to dance another day.

World studded with rhinestones, survive the only way they can, by dancing as the mirror ball collides with the silver screen.

It's Movie Night!

Stairs on either side for this who will fall down the stairs this week segment.

Looks like they upped the amount of band this week, that can't be good.

Troupe and a couple of pros dancing.

I like Louie's solo choreography much better. I was hoping someone would start on fire.

Tango to Mission Impossible.
Rehearsal footage, dance after the break.

Lots of rehearsal drama as we go off to commercial

Unfortunate. The beginning was not supported by the rest of the dance.

Smoke machine is running.

Tony on a wire coming into the dance floor from above. Tom said there will be a bit more intro on the music before the dance this week.

Chynna looks lost in quit a few places during the dance.

Cameraman back as we head over to the judges.

Tom reminds Len they are allowing some mucking about at the beginning.

Len. Character of the dance with flavor of the movie. Pro did that, but the dance went wrong. Lot of mistakes.

Bruno. Don't worry you were slash and burn hot, but you lost the plot.

Carrie Ann. You did not lose your composure. Not a serious competition, made a mistake you care on.

Tom says, have you seen what you win?

Tony limping a bit up the stairs to the sky box.

7~7~7 21 out of 30, that seems generous.

Tony hurt ankle during dress rehearsal.

Way over rated. That was horrid!

Indiana Jones Paso?

Shot of stars in audience, including Cher.

Raiders of the Lost Ark Theme.

"RE: David and Kym"
Posted by whimsey on 10-10-11 at 08:31 PM
Very theatrical, I had my fingers crossed for him. I think it was OK. Not great, but OK.

"RE: David and Kym"
Posted by Snidget on 10-10-11 at 08:33 PM
David swings in on a rope and does a whip thing. But if they were being true to the movie his hat should be on the entire time.

Nice job of that even though an odd combination.

Bruno. Standing up. I love the way you crack your whip. Tight muscles and tight pants for a wild ride. Watch your turns.

Carrie Ann. David saves the day. What happened? All this bravado under the dancer.

Len. Like the entry and attitude, but after that all temple of doom.

Bruno likes his men butch, and Len wants tight buttocks and didn't get any.

8~7~8 for 23 out of 30

Filler

Posted by djandy on 10-10-11 at 09:16 PM
They really are shoving Val down our throats, aren't they? He was in last week's troupe dances, and both of this week's troupe dances. Does he want to be a Pro or in the troupe?

"RE: Val and the Troupe"
Posted by Snidget on 10-11-11 at 08:37 AM
I think I read that the pros only get paid for the weeks their stars are on the show.

However, if they dance on the results show or other things they also get paid for those weeks. So I'm guessing part of keeping Maks happy is making sure Val gets as much work as possible after he was eliminated.

"Carson and Anna"
Posted by Snidget on 10-10-11 at 08:43 PM
Pirate of the Caribbean Viennese Waltz to Curse of the Black Pearl.

Pirates are guys in tight pants and open shirts looking for jewelry, he think he can handle it. Has a guy come in to teach the sword work.

Dance after the break. How much spirit gum did it take to get Carson to look like that.

"RE: Carson and Anna"
Posted by whimsey on 10-10-11 at 08:49 PM
Mmmm... my sword work could use a little play, with Storm as my coach.

"RE: Carson and Anna"
Posted by Snidget on 10-10-11 at 08:53 PM
I could certainly use a refresher course on my sword work as well.

Pink Jolly Roger with a Bow!

Carrie Ann. Stil recovering. Like being on the ride, but weirder. your most butch performance.

Len. Child birth, terrible while it is happening but a joy when it is over.

Bruno. The revenge of the gay blade. Finally Jack Sparrow is out.

"Nancy and Tristan"
Posted by Snidget on 10-10-11 at 09:00 PM
Paso Doble to Flash Gordon.

Hold me, I'm skeered.

Nancy wants to kill Tristan in the end.

"RE: Nancy and Tristan"
Posted by whimsey on 10-10-11 at 09:02 PM
Well, she wore the costume well....

"RE: Nancy and Tristan"
Posted by Snidget on 10-10-11 at 09:03 PM
That end thing was weird.

Len. Dancing is competent, lacked expression.

Bruno. Have to be a ball breaker.

Carrie Ann. Need to give Nancy a little more credit. Connect more to the audience.

7~7~7 21 out of 30

"RE: Nancy and Tristan"

Paso Doble to Flash Gordon.

I saw no part of this and the description still has me shivering.

"Hope and Maks"
Posted by Snidget on 10-10-11 at 09:10 PM
Fox Trot from Toy Story. You've Got A Friend.

"RE: Hope and Maks"
Posted by whimsey on 10-10-11 at 09:13 PM
She seemed to really enjoy that dance - for a change. Cute.

"RE: Hope and Maks"
Posted by Snidget on 10-10-11 at 09:14 PM
Tom says, the most innocent you've ever looked.

Bruno. So lovely. Making sweet music. So nice Maks, when you are nice she is nice.

Carrie Ann. Made me smile the whole way through. That was refreshing to see you having fun.

Len. I get frustrated Tome. Age. You could go all the way. I don't think you are polishing enough in the rehearsal.

Still time to chose the dancers for the Design a Dance.

"RE: Hope and Maks"

Dance was okay, but not worth 8's. Overscored!

"Rob and Cheryl"
Posted by Snidget on 10-10-11 at 09:21 PM
Paso Doble to Superman.

That was the wimpiest declaration of superman I think I've ever heard.

"RE: Rob and Cheryl"
Posted by whimsey on 10-10-11 at 09:23 PM
Kinda lame. Meh.

"RE: Rob and Cheryl"
Posted by Snidget on 10-10-11 at 09:26 PM
It is hard to look like one is controlling Cheryl.

Carrie Ann. Like the way you move. Steady like the way a man should be.

Len. I can't go into raptures like Carrie Ann. This is the most living dance, like a waiter giving out canapes. I liked it.

Bruno. Time to leave Smallville. Do have musicality, have to believe in yourself and be more assertive.

8~8~8 24 out of 30.

How can the judges think this was equal to what Hope and Maks did? I must be watching a different show than them.

"Ricki and Derek"
Posted by Snidget on 10-10-11 at 09:33 PM
Psycho Tango. Derek having a hard time with the music.

"RE: Ricki and Derek"
Posted by whimsey on 10-10-11 at 09:35 PM
Psycho? That was a rich performance.

"RE: Ricki and Derek"
Posted by Snidget on 10-10-11 at 09:37 PM
Start behind a screen.

He Kills her behind the screen at the end.

Some nice moves, but it was just OK.

Len. Lost the lead out of his pencil. You always deliver. Need a bit more neck.

Bruno. Block busting performance.

Carrie Ann. Brilliance in the ballroom.

10~9~10 29 out of 30.

I think that was over-scored.

"RE: Ricki and Derek"
Posted by whimsey on 10-10-11 at 09:39 PM
Definitely over scored. Strange.

"RE: Ricki and Derek"
Posted by Sagebrush Dan on 10-11-11 at 03:17 AM
overscored and the band was terrible.

"RE: Ricki and Derek"
Posted by millie on 10-11-11 at 04:41 AM
Dance was nice, but way over-scored. Dance should have recieved 9's at best.

"RE: Ricki and Derek"
Posted by qwertypie on 10-11-11 at 08:00 AM
Especially compared to how they scored JR's

"RE: Ricki and Derek"
Posted by Loree on 10-11-11 at 04:30 PM
I know Derek is the golden boy. But I always feel the judges are scoring Derek and his dancing and choreo while ignoring if Ricki did the dance right. Ricki would never be getting these scores if she was dancing with any other pro. And probably any of the female stars this season would be getting the Derek scores if they were with him. I wish the judges would score Ricki instead of Derek.

"Chaz and Lacey"
Posted by Snidget on 10-10-11 at 09:43 PM
Rocky Themed Paso Doble.

Richard Simmons brought in to train Chaz.

"RE: Chaz and Lacey"

No good can come of this. Fingers crossed for Chaz.

"RE: Chaz and Lacey"

Runs up the stairs for the anticlimatic finish.

Bruno. No matter how many knocks you take you keep fighting and getting stronger.

Carrie Ann. Crying. You get under my skin and make me root for you.

Cher looks proud, glad she could come to see him dance.

Len. Getting stronger, (my X factor moment as he sung that) Best dance to date.

7~7~7 21 out of 30

"J.R. and Karina"
Posted by Snidget on 10-10-11 at 09:53 PM
Foxtrot to Pink Panther Theme.

Brought in a professional to show him what the man is supposed to do and how to lead it.

"RE: J.R. and Karina"
Posted by whimsey on 10-10-11 at 09:57 PM
I really liked that performance. Was a bit slow in one spot, but nice.

"RE: J.R. and Karina"
Posted by Snidget on 10-10-11 at 09:58 PM
That was fun!

Carrie Ann. I thought it was OK. Technique was all there. Fell a little flat, didn't need the humor. Thinks she saw a lift.

Len. This was the best male dancer of the night (once he finally figured out how to speak). Tweak of humor not slapstick.

Bruno. Great ability and versatility. You are great.

Tomorrow night. Susan Boyle, Blake Sheldon, Rapheal Saadiq and Julianne Hough.

8~9~9 26 out of 30.

"RE: J.R. and Karina"
Posted by qwertypie on 10-11-11 at 01:16 AM
Carrie Ann should suck lemons. That was underscored. The man is actually LEADING the dance. BAH!

"RE: J.R. and Karina"

Best dance of the night!

"RE: J.R. and Karina"
Posted by Loree on 10-11-11 at 04:33 PM
I knew Carrie Ann would find a reason to not give JR as high a score as Derek before she opened her mouth. But an 8? She scored JR and Rob K the same. Rob stood around and posed when he wasn't marching flat footed around the floor. How could Carrie Ann think Rob and JR danced the same?

"Thanks, Snidget"

Excellent job!
