Funny enough, this isn't the chipper's first time going AWOL. It has disappeared at least three times recently, reappearing just as suddenly. A recent incident was even stranger: during an early morning inspection, signs were found that the chipper had perhaps been used overnight for crushing ice.

oooh! nice observation! I don't know if they're clues though or just little details that are part of the story. I remember looking through the early sheriff's blotter where they accused a plastic santa claus as a stalker several times. Later, in episode 1, 9:15 comes around, people are making love, and sure enough, a plastic santa claus appears.
