Amanda sick of Candice

Over at the Villians. RussHell and Rob both awake. RussHell tries to make Rob feel safe so he can get him out.

Danielle, surprised at that vote? Yep, he must have a strong alliance.

Takes Immunity from Sandra but today a little different. Individuals against your own tribe. Both tribes voting somebody out.

Each person attached to a rope run through obstacles. First person to finish wins.

Each tribe runs separately.

The winners face off and the winner gets reward (food and get to watch the other tribe's council).

JT and Tyson won individual last time they did this.

Villians won rock-paper-scissors-lizard-Spock and want the Heroes to go first.

You know if Candice beat him they'd never let him hear the end of it.

She did beat JT, Colby, Rupert and James. However, being taller made it tougher in that first part.

She did & kudos to her for doing so. I think it is more what it would do to Rob's ego to lose to a girl.

Maybe he'd ask her to marry him!!!!

"Villians--Heroes post challenge"

Coach between two alliances, plans to flush out RussHell's Idol.

Rob says better to play with me than against me. Russhell wants to make him eat those words.

He thinks they are trying to blindside Parvati.

Colby upset that James with the brace beat him at the challenge. He tosses himself on the sword and says vote me out and give them as little info as possible. He sees the pecking order.

James says Colby not being superman and him giving up makes him sad.

Trying to decide James hurt vs Colby. JT says James is eating them out of house and home and they have to be strong given the circumstances right now.

They want James to race and Amanda tells him to stop eating so many bananas. Amanda discusses Banana Etiquette.

Hero Olympics.

James vs JT in a foot race. Colby just hanging out.

JT wins running backwards.

JT says need to look at the big picture.

I loved that line! James was back to his China and Micronesia edit tonight.

Gotta say I'm really underwhelmed by Colby this season - taking one for the team by giving up? That's not very survivor-like from a man who loves the game.

Without Tina, Colby doesn't have a brain.

I wasn't that impressed with him in Australia (or find him that swoon-worthy) so I was looking forward to seeing what everyone else thought was so great about him. That ain't happening!

"RE: How bout James"
Posted by PepeLePew13 on 03-26-10 at 05:34 AM
Oedipus Tex was never known for his mental acumen while in Australia and he proved it in the penultimate tribal council by taking Tina over Kan't-Kook-Keith to the final vote.

And the only thing I liked about him was the way he upstaged Scerri by bringing back gifts of coral to the rest of the tribe (even if it was illegal) and tossing her over the wall like a rag doll in the challenge. People talked about what a great challenge performer he was, but it's not hard to win five challenges in a row when your competition is Tina, Scerri, Lamber, Kan't-Kook-Keith, Elisabeth, Rodger and Nick.

"Villians scramble"
Posted by Snidget on 03-24-10 at 07:36 PM
Rob realizes the problem that will get them to lose Tyson with the numbers.

How they need to split the vote so they can't backdoor them with the idol.

Tyson thinks it will be straightforward, but he does feel uneasy without immunity.

Russhell says he is voting for Parvati.

Hoping there isn't a revote, he just wants the hot dog.

Russhell wants to set up the three way tie with the idol flush. Tough decision.

Jerri How has it changed. Game on from the get go. Survival not as important.

Rob: Hidden Immunity puts a whole other twist.

Sandra: We all know who has it. RussHell if you don't have it you best look for it.

RussHell. If you ain't got it you can't play it.

Tyson. Want Idol or not. Can help you in some instances. When the numbers this big, not that beneficial.

Parv: Suspect of Tyson? Tyson is charming and has connections. So he is a huge threat.

Sandra. Parv had connections on the other size.

Courtney. Rob is polarizing.

At least a couple of people on the hot seat, lets get to it.

Tyson is stoopid; that was even dumber than James leaving w/ 2 idols in his pocket.

agreed Tyson goes into HOF of Survivor dumb moves...but my question, how did Russhell know that Tyson was supposed to vote for Russhell, bc that's the only way it worked. I bet Coach told him the specifics of the voodoo plan. The only possible player for Russhell to approach was Tyson bc Rob and Sandra would never have switched their vote. Would Jerri, Coach or Courtney if they had been the ones appointed to vote Russhell? Maybe Coach but I don't think Jerri or Courtney would have.

James drooling over the food.
Rupert looks at the food too.

James is glad it is raining.

Rupert: Villains showing us how it is done.
James: Had to race JT. He says he sucked.
Amanda. A lot of peopel would lose in a foot race to JT? She says it is a consideration.
Colby: Didn't scramble. Both guys want to be in the game.
James: Not sure. Finding out Superman just isn't. He says he likes it here. Discusses Banana Etiquette.
Colby: Hearing it is not as bad as living it. I have not performed like I hoped to.

Villains finish what is in your mouth and head back to camp.

Candice. Keeping the necklace.

Rupert Up first

Riskiest, gutsiest; yes but best? Depends if he's able to turn the game around because Russ is still down in numbers and no idols.

RussHell is certainly the most dramatic at playing it.

I don't understand how from that one sentence Tyson, was able to to put the noose around his neck...It just cracks me up...the power that Russell has over his words.

BTW, I am a huge Rob fan! Woohoo!

i gotta say, this explains why rushell had such an attitude at the survivor finale. IMHO this was the gutsiest move ever.

ETA: AND IT WORKED!!!

They didn't show much of the vote discussion for the Villains, I wonder how sure Russell was of the vote before he gave the idol to Parvati. Still it was a bold move and a delight to watch it unfold like it did.

Call me overly suspicious but I smelled a set-up. It wouldn't do for the casting to have either Russell or Parvati go home this early. Could some "nudging" have been done by production to get Russell to talk to Tyson?

"RE: Survivor 20 Ep. 6 East Coast Spoiler Thread"
Posted by jbug on 03-25-10 at 09:50 AM
LOL
I was having a few conspiracy thoughts myself.
Like, when Jeff went to tally the votes & found that there were indeed 4 for Parvarti, did he signal Russell in some way that he needed give the HII to her?
& could he have had a different signal arranged if Russell needed to play it himself?

~~just thinking here~~~

Makes one think that Jeff should ask if anyone wants to play the HII before he goes & looks at the votes.

Actually, along the same lines of thinking, I thought the way Russell played the Immunity Idol last night was brilliant. I thought he would just give it to Parvati before the Tribal Council and she would play it directly. While it looked like he had his back to the rest of the tribe for the most part, if he was able look back and read the body language and/or facial expressions of the others on his way to Jeff, that might have helped inform his decision on whether to play the idol himself or give it to Parvati. Any little advantage . . .

I have to disagree with you on this one BR...no conspiracy...I think Coach, the knight, told King Russhell of the voodoo plan specifics and then Russhell went to the weakest link, it was just quite ironic that Tyson sent himself home...

"RE: Survivor 20 Ep. 6 East Coast Spoiler Thread"
Posted by Brownroach on 03-25-10 at 12:43 PM
I still think there was something off about it.

If someone (by which I mean, a cast member) told RussHell specifically who was voting for who, why didn't they show it? It would have made RussHell look that much better for coming up with his plan.

I'm waiting to see what the Insider Clips have this week.

"If someone (by which I mean, a cast member) told RussHell specifically who was voting for who, why didn't they show it? It would have made RussHell look that much better for coming up with his plan"

It would've dulled the suspense. Also, it makes Russell look even better to guess how they were split without being told, like he's the Amazing Kreskin or something, doesn't it? Then again, there's the side effect of it looking a little too good for some people (like you). Production must balance these things.

"RE: Survivor 20 Ep. 6 East Coast Spoiler Thread"
Posted by Karchita on 03-26-10 at 02:02 AM
Yes, I think it was for the suspense. I noticed that they didn't show Russell's or Tyson's votes, but they did show everyone or nearly everyone elses.

If they had shown a conversation spelling everything out, there wouldn't have been any interest.

"RE: Survivor 20 Ep. 6 East Coast Spoiler Thread"
Posted by Brownroach on 03-26-10 at 05:00 PM
What suspense? The only suspense came *after* Russell talked to Tyson, i.e. would Tyson flip or not.

Russell had to pick someone who wasn't going to vote for Parvati, he couldn't just pick anyone at random. But that's kind of what it looked like he did. Showing or otherwise explaining (even by Russell himself in a confessional) how Russell found out that Tyson was planning to vote for him, not Parvati, would have been a logical link to include in the sequence.

Unless of course he didn't find out from one of the cast members. And I don't see why any of the cast members would tell Russell exactly who was going to vote for who.

Why wasn't this highly creative use of the HII hyped at all in the previews, I wonder. No "One of the Most Shocking Tribal Councils Ever!" or "A Tribal Council You Won't Forget!"

Everyone just looked confused when it was over.
