Question: What do you get when you cross a druggie web design intern w/ a sh|tty television studio? I didn't think there were any sites more ugly and poor performing than this one, but lo and behold.

I have some questions for Shakes, if he would be so kind as to answer.

- What questions did you write down in that secret booth? (or whatever its called)
- What dares did you submit prior to the show?
- Were there others on the hot seat that we didn't see on the show?
- Was alcohol readily available and consumed by the cast members all day long?

Yeah, that web site sucks. I can do without the cheesy sax music and the toilet-flushing sounds when you roll over a button.
And that "who's with who" page, with all those crisscrossing lines is awful. Why not just put the photos together in pairs?

Well... there's a reason why we say "FUX" for FOX... the FUX site is FUX-up. Those crisscrossing lines make me think of that kid's game where you try to pull the sticks out without dropping any marbles inside...

>KerPlunk?

Yes... KerPlunk! Thanks Buggy... we hid the KerPlunk game from the kids last year because they kept leaving the marbles around no matter how many times we told them to please clean up -- the cat kept gobbling up the marbles and we worried she'd choke to death. Have no idea where that game is now...

It sounds like your cat ate most of it.

OOOOOHHhhhh! TOILET sounds. . . now it makes sense!! I was trying to figure out why they were wailing on a sheet of aluminum (like that thunder effect on old radio shows). Wondered if maybe Neptune was getting set to emerge from the depths of the Carribbean and start hurling bolts at this whole mess--but FLUSHING makes it all come together for me.

As usual, boomer is a genius. Maybe there's a song in here somewhere to complete there? How 'bout Dedicated to the One I Flush, How Sweet It Is (to Be Flushed By You), I Can't Flush You For Sentimental Reasons, or simply Love is Blue:

Blue, blue, my water's blue
Blue as the water swirling in my loo. . .
Grey, grey, my life is grey
Grey as this island where loozers must stay.

Red, red, my eyes are red
Crying for you alone in my bed
Green, green, my jealous heart
I screwed up badly, and now we're apart

When we began, how the bright sun shone
Then love died, now the rainbow is gone

Black, black, the nights I've known
Longing for you so lost and alone
Gone, gone, the love we blew
Blue is my world since I lost the prize money, too

Hell, boomer--this is YOUR shtick! Show us how it's REALLY done!

OMG I know this song

... and that's all I've got for now.

Hey, GT - what is it with bathroom humor that brings you out of the woodwork? I could easily see this thread going in another direction, but I'll let sleeping logs lie.

I like your song, GT, and I'll keep your suggestions in mind for future material. They also inspire me to dust out the animation shop to create some Love Cruise mischief. I think I have a function that creates a swirling animation, if you get my drift. CALLING ICECAT- let's see what we can come up with, eh?

boomer- leaving now to catch up on work so he can watch the next episode.

<twirling mustache>

Yes... a delightfully evil plan, Boomer!

To the workstation!

Sleeping logs? I thought the saying was sleeping dogs.

So, IceCat has long hair and a mustache?

Here's a swirling animation that I came up with... actually it looks more like a hurricane than a flushing-down-the-toilet but it's the best I can do with the limited resources of this puter at work...

>Hey, GT - what is it with bathroom humor that brings you out of the woodwork?
Hmmmm. . . I've been pondering this question for a while, and I'm still not 100% sure. . . You know, George Carlin has always insisted that farts are universally funny (although kids and codgers are frequently the only ones to appreciate the purest of the art form,) so maybe it's just that I'm earthy enough to appreciate such basic pleasures. Maybe it's because it's one of the few topics people absolutely cannot twist into some ridiculous, underhanded insult--damn it all, I ALWAYS say exactly what I mean--no need to look for hidden meanings--but it's only with a topic like this that people are really forced to take me at my word. . .

But you know. . . YOU were the one to originally identify the flushing noise, and all I did was go with the toilet theme. I did not interject objects WITHIN the toilet--that "sleeping logs" beauty was alllllll yours! And don't think I didn't notice that our own Martha Stewart plucked that line out as her own funny-bone-tickler. . . or the way you and IceCat became so gleeful at the prospect of animating something along those lines (hey! Pépé beat you guys to the punch!)

Face it, boomer--when you tap the lowest common denominator, it's bound to reach everyone. . . it's just that not everyone is uninhibited enough to admit it. or they convince themselves that they are ABOVE such things (and yet these same people think boob jokes are fair game? Hmmmm. . .)

Poor Gopher--all he (?) wanted to do was point out the lousy web design. . . Welcome to our little freak show, Gopher! LOL

"guilty as charged"

Yes, my mind is easily corrupted. Just think of the stuff I could do if I didn't limit myself to this PG-13 material.

Awwww, boomer--ANYBODY can work "blue" (ha!) but it takes a real comedic genius to wreak such havoc within the confines of PG-13!
