So, which three shows do you think will be the first ones cancelled? Post your picks here, and we'll see who's tuned in with the tastes of the American voting public.

CAVEMEN--it might have been entertaining for 30 seconds for the first commercial they ran.

NASHVILLE--It's on Fox. It's on Fridays. Maybe it will buck the trend.

BIONIC WOMAN--It is up against Kitchen Nightmares, Criminal Minds, the Grey's Anatomy Clone, et al. AND it's a remake, when do those ever last?

Viva Laughlin * they almost killed Amazing Race with the 60 Minutes lead-in

Big Bang Theory * even geeks won't watch it

Reaper * landed in a killer timeslot

I like Big Bang. It got picked up for more episodes.

Let's see, the three new shows with the best critical acclaim are:

Pushing Daisies
Chuck
Reaper

Those are my three picks for first-canceled. As long as something on CBS goes soon to open a slot for TAR, I'm ok with it.

TV Guide Online reports that Nashville has been pulled from the lineup. Allegedly, it will return in October.

One of my picks on life support.

I'm not sure if it is an omen or something but there was a plane pulling a banner for Geico with the Caveman on it when I left today.

1. Big Bang Theory(CBS)-I liked it, but thought it tried to hard.
2. Journeyman(NBC?)-I tried to watch, but it lost me halfway through...
3. Moonlight(CBS)-Because typically these types of shows don't last long unless they're on the scifi network.

Edited cause I had 4 picks, not three.

I never get these things right...

2. Journeyman(NBC?)-I tried to watch, but it lost me halfway through...

Agree that the first half was dull but the second half was fabulous and it had a fantastic ending. I'm hoping the next episodes pick up on that.

A little premature here...

Caveman
K-Ville
Big Shots
Big Bang Theory (although, I was laughing)
Life (huh, how ironic)

I agree about Viva Laughlin - do we really need another Las Vegas?

The Big Bang Theory just doesn't sound like it will last, either, in my uneducated opinion.

I'm also shaky on Back To You - they say it gets better after the premiere, but the premier was less than inspired.

After last night?
Caveman - holy crap was that bad, couldn't even watch it reading a book
Moonlight - I love the idea but the acting was HORRIBLE

I will sheepishly admit that Big Bang Theory had us rolling here, I love the show which means it's a goner in no time I'm sure

First of the sitcoms to get a full season ordered.

"And this is number two..."
Posted by Bebo on 10-22-07 at 02:49 PM
TV Guide Online is reporting that after last night's pathetically bad ratings, Viva Laughlin is about to be scrapped. CBS has two options for replacement right now. Speculation is that it will not be Jericho, so that the network has a chance to really hype up its return instead of replacing what was a bad idea to begin with.

So reality fans get ready to squeal...and to remember that a Detour is a choice between two tasks. TAR may be back very, very soon.

It will be replaced next Sunday by a "CSI" rerun, with reality series "The Amazing Race" then taking over the time period, CBS (part of CBS Corp.) said Monday.

Everything else has had at least a few additional scripts ordered.

From what I've read on TV Guide Online, Bionic Woman is probably in trouble. The show hasn't been picked up for the year yet.

On the other side of the coin, I've read in Entertainment Weekly that a lot of the marginal shows are going to get a better chance of surviving this year than other years because of the writers' strike. The longer the strike, the shorter the development season for new shows, which means that there will be fewer options available in 2008 to replace troubled shows.

I wondered about this. It seems to me they have given some shows a longer leash than usual. I like it. Sometimes it takes a while for a show to make its mark on viewers.

I read that FNL will last a lot longer than others bc of their tight shooting schedule in Austin.. they have 6 eps left where most only have 1 or 2 and should last til Feb. Maybe more people will get hooked...

"Two More Updates"
Posted by Bebo on 12-17-07 at 01:02 PM
Both from TV Guide Online...

They had reported that the remaining episodes of Big Shots will not be airing, and that ABC will put rebroadcasts of Private Practice in that time slot. You know it's bad when your new shows are replaced by rebroadcasts of eh shows during a writer's strike.

New report today is that Bionic Woman is scrapped. All episodes have been aired, and they won't be resuming to film any new ones post-strike.

TV Guide Online is now reporting that Bionic Woman is not dead and that current plans are to honor the initial 13-episode request once the strike is settled.

You and Mr. Bebo are probably the only two people left in the world who care. Although I think Sarah Corvus rocks.

I don't really care about the show, ya know, I just like looking at Michelle Ryan.
